    Very good my friend. The stator should have magnets set at 21 degrees off axis in a north south alternating configuration. Each Stator rotor plate should be off set from one another 17 degrees. The spindle should be free floated in a mag lev gate for rotor. You will need power plates with magnets and a super conductive coil. I won't share the clutch mechanism, however you need a start motor to spin the rotor up to 3000 RPM, disengage it from the spindle. Watch the power out. Then reengage spindle and spin to 6000 RPM, then 9000 and so forth to 20000rpm. Watch the power output. You will need a smart controller, rpm sensors and some other kit. Enjoy

    In my opinion the magnet have to work not in attraction... You have to displace N vs N and S vs S, and the magnet on stator have to be pair and in rotor dispair (or vice versa) for example: 8 in rotor and 9 in stator make this attempt with only 1 disk if it work you can do the same job with other 2 disks and couple the other disks all together.
    Pay maximum attention to the distance BTW stator and rotor magnets is important because can influence the magnetic field each other.
    Another attempt you can do is to positioning rotor not completely inside stator and make a distance of 1 o 2 mm BTW magnet axes that can improve the repulsion force BTW magnets.
    You have machine for build any prototype you can make more try... Please don't abandon you're magnetic motor dream!

      Another suggestion coul be to use neodimium magnets more Long in stator minimum double but better triple (just put another one in series) because in this way you'll have more distance between magnet's pole and avoid magnetic influence VS stator magnets.

    Good build dude that looks nice. However I do recommend figuring out how to get it to go without stopping. I suggest configuring the flanges or flywheels whatever you want to call it off set a little bit from each other so that way the magnets are not in a straight line and the magnets on the wheels should be at an angle as well. slightly stagger the wheels it's not a slot machine.

    The most interesting part was towards the end you had mentioned something like 'you could get it spinning for roughly 15 seconds until you'd have to apply force again'.
    I was thinking, what if you had one or a few magnets on your outta wheel slightly larger to generate more magnetic force on your inner wheel to keep the motion on-going?

      @@MrZauberwuerfel I've seen similar models except one with a spring-loaded arm that has magnets pointing the other way (meaning after an entire rotation, force is automatically applied again) allowing you to remove the need for a person to spin it.
      I believe infinite power is possible through perpetual motors...but it's the minds of others that are finite that help prevent it from moving forward.
      Every breakthrough in history has always had a mob of people saying "it'll never happen" or "it's impossible". Time is the only real obstacle in the way of this breakthrough

    great effort that you put in, however what is needed to explore the potential on this design is to be able to dynamically adjust(while the motor is spinning) the offset angle between the three rows of magnets - I think it is all down to timing. Another person commented below that 20 degrees should be used, but even if this is a working number it would be great to be able to tune this variable while the motor is running.

    One disc alone will get stuck. The two other discs are there to pull it past the "stuck".They are offset. I still believe it could work ,but I am not going to build it. Good work.

    You need to keep the stator at properly distance from the rotor, you made too close. And the stator as well needs to be mobile, like you can control the distance between it than the rotor. And the majority magnets should be repelling and just fewer needs to be attracting each other. There’s a guy in Brazil that make it works with trash materials. So you’re amazing making with high quality material just need more research and study. Good luck. Looking forward to see you getting there 🙏🏼

    Valve actuation. Rotate the magnets in the mast in on off positions.. You can start hyper inneficient and use a microcontroller to work out mechanical actuation dynamics..

    Seems it will work if you correct 3 mistakes.
    One : You divide the stator in to 20 places and the rotor in to 17 places ; it is wrong . calculate it again , I am sure you will find the correct division.
    Two : It is enough to have two disks of rotor and stator.
    Three : Calculate again the angle between to disks (yours is a large angle , depends to the number one).
    And seems i will make one for my self.

    Brilliant effort my friend! Electric motors use exactly the same motive force as magnetism so there HAS to be a way of creating a motor with nothing more than magnets. Just because we haven't done it yet doesn't mean it can't be done. 👍

      the thing is that in the history of physics we have never ever found a closed system where the combined energy in the system changes
      therefore i find it highly unlikely, that a simple arrangement of magnets could change that fact

      @@MrZauberwuerfel Exactly. The problem of magnetic motors is the first and last magnet, between which there is always a dead point. In addition, the configuration of the magnetic ring with its fields always creates a single magnet (possible shielding of the magnets contributes to the same). The electric motor "can" turn on suitable coils, so it is a controlled "magnet" and does not close in a circle - a rotating magnetic field is created, which is not possible with neodymium or cobalt magnets. It is possible to break the dead center with energy, but the torque would be insignificant and again it would not be a perpetuum mobile.

    At 4:42 minutes, you used the hammer of glue on the magnets when you fastened the magnets to the supports. You had to know that they are demagnetizing at high temperatures, which is why your magnetic motor didn't work!

      It doesn't matter can't do much of rotation, because of opposite magnetic field - which as we see, stop rotation and can't be isolated.

    I have an idea for a lifting force machine.
    Step 1: Get hollowed out cube.
    Step 2: Securely attach magnet to inner bottom of hollowed out cube.
    Step 3: Place a lever on inside bottom of cube behind the magnet thats securely attached to inside bottom of cube so that one side of the lever is pointing towards you and hanging over the magnet.
    Step 4: Attach a vertical bar to the top side of the part of the lever that is not hanging over magnet witch is securely attached to inner bottom of cube. Make sure the bar goes all the way up to the inner top of the cube barley touching it.
    Step 5: Securely attach a magnet to the side of the lever that is hanging over the magnet that is attached to the inner botttom of cube.
    Note: Magnets need to be facing each other with attracting poles N,S or S,N
    Note: The lever is going to have to be realy close to the magnet on inner bottom of cube because of how close those magnetic fields need to be to interact. But not so close that magnets can touch.
    The magnet on top connected to lever is pulling the magnet on inner bottom of cube towards it and since the magnet on inner bottom of cube is connected to cube, this pulling force acts as a lifting force. Now at the same time the magnet on inner bottom of cube is pulling the magnet on top downwards BUT the magnet on top is connected to the lever so any downwards pulling force is being converted mechanicaly by the lever into upwards lifting force. Now if you know anything about magnets you now that there are magnets powerfull enough to lift far more weight then just there own. So essentialy this divice is exploiting the powerfull pulling force of magnets by mechanicaly transforming its magnetic pulling force into mechanical lifting force through the clever utilization of a lever, and walla stuff can be made to fly. Imagine if the magnets in this experiment where electro magnets so the ammount of electrical current going into them determined the ammount of lifting force that it would have. Now imagine this system being used as an attachment that could be placed under or ontop of vehicles to counter the weight of the vehicle and any cargo its carying. Now imagine if this was done with powerfull permanent magnets and turned sideways and placed in an electric generator and had enough strength to pass through the magnetic fields as it propelled itself forwards with its own magnetic pulling force. -Signed AMA-

    there are two main mistakes here. 1st one is: the magnets on each rotor wheel must not be aligned axially but must be "unphased". 2nd: the number of magnets and their strenght as well as the distances between rotor and stator magnets is not sufficient to run continuously (these parameters are not so easy to tune, as it may appear at first sight!). Another point is, the number of rotor and stator magnets should not be a pair number, any possible "resonance" that should give an equilibrium should be avoided. Better to have umpaired number as 13 on rotor and 17 for stator for example. Finally , inclination of magnets doesn't seems appropriate so that they can repel with maximum tangential force. LAst but not least...the magnets MUST be shielded !!! typically bismuth or other diamagnetic material should be used to shield the poles not involved in the repulsive action, both in stator and rotors. This is a very important point.

    I've been having dreams about magnetic motor designs the first dream showed me magnets on the side of the stater to help focus the magnetic field toward the rotor and now i had one of a gyroscope on the tail end of the rotor so once the rotor starts to spin the gyroscope helps the rotor to continue through the magnetic field helping it not to get stalled by the what i call the 1" bearer that seems to slow down the rotor and eventually stop it I still don't know enough on building one plus the lack of equipment and resources forces me to only thought and paper experiments which is a far cry from a physical experiment I just hope someone figures it out and doesn't get stuck by greed and lose the invention to patient restrictions or buy outs the world needs this type of technology

      2. Movement through the magnetic field with a wire or coil in a closed-loop creates a current within the wire.
      3. An external force must be applied to generate energy so a magnet just sitting there doesn't give off any energy.
      Therefore it is incorrect to claim magnets give off energy. They don't!

      @@valveman12 a magnet does not give off energy but a magnet passing over a copper conductor is basically how most generators work people get caught up on the fact that a magnet only reacts with another magnet or iron once but it needs to but thought of as each set of magnets interacting with another set once per time I've come a bit farther in my study and this type of design doesn't interest me much but looking at the 3 stators he had all the magnet in line with each other instead of having them staggered so of course, you're going to have your rotor magnets line up with the magnetic field of the stator but that's just a cursory exam but the video does make me miss having access to a machine shop

      True, a magnet creates eddy currents in copper and aluminum as well. Dropping a magnet in a copper or aluminum tube illustrates this fact.
      *Free Energy devices don't work*
      The issue with trying to create a device running on its own power is losses. Friction, Eddy Currents, Heat, etc. Since energy cannot be created or destroyed (1st Law of Thermodynamics), and since the system is experiencing losses, this causes the device to slow down and stop.

    I do believe you forgot...over looked...maybe not aware of..."Shielding".
    Shielding, from my understanding of what it does, is the factor that controls where and when you want the flux present.
    It enables to set a tipping point without the push back/reverse repel.
    Of course shielding is another strange workings imposed on the magnet and if implemented just right, that thing should spin up and then burn up because you have no SPEED CONTROL implemented or a way to disengage.
    Read a paper years ago about a group of students that did one of these and it basically blew up from over speed...I know "over speed' is a strange term. but accurate.
    A visual of what shielding is influencing around the magnet is/has not been easy..
    What ever you do, do not try to sell a working model. You will come down with a sudden case of "Not Alive."
    It really is very contagious.

    Generell ist dieser Aufbau plausibel und gut ausgeführt aber ein kleiner Fehler ist zu sehen die magnetischen seitenkräfte wurde in den Bohrungen nicht abgeschirmt somit bremst sich die Konstruktion selbst und der gewünschte abstoß Effekt bleibt aus . schöner ansatz

    remember that motors are rotating because of magnets ,,,without permanent magnets the options are inductive coils acting as magnets by supplying them power source instead of permanent magnets

    Good machining ...To keep the rotation moving add a 5 lb. flywheel ( brass ) to the rotating cylinder ...Then machine spacers the exact length needed drill and ream for the threaded rod and then assemble.. Good luck with Version 2

    actually if you could get the out side ring of magnets to flip via a geared setup , so they rotate with the inside rotor, you might get around the problem, but as I see it, it takes energy to move the inside magnet passed the outside magnet and once it passes it gets a push ie every action has an equal and opposite reaction nothing is free, or so it would seem. But if you could turn down the magnetic power of a solid state magnet, and build a timing device that turned the magnets off and on for free. then you might make a free energy device or over unity device.

    couple it with an induction motor and it will generate electricity since the project on this video will produce emf towards the opposite side of the motors normal operation.after coupling, keep the motor you've made in motion to rotate the shaft of the induction motor and then test for voltage at the end of the wires that feed power to the motor and youll be proud of your work

    The spacing of the outer magnet ring needs to be less than the inner, plus the magnets need to be at an angle in relation to each other, or as you see, the inner section stops moving from the lack of magnetic force in between the magnets.

      Even though a magnet has a pull, or pull, if it attracts, then it repels. The state is completely in balance.

      gravelydon In all accuracy and in the context of my comment, electrical energy generated by Solar PV is NOT free! The energy source is the thermonuclear fusion reactions taking place in our Sun that spews out the photons that these Solar PV panels convert into electrical energy. In laymen speak we call it ‘free’ because we don’t have to pay for the energy generation component. But in scientific terms in would not be considered free energy.

    I would have gone with around a 33 degree angle on the magnets and altered one magnet on the stater to disrupt the cogging either set it as a south instead of north or change it to a different design i think the answer lies in altering one of the stater magnets

    I see a very simple fix to the problem ... On each cylinder you need to add a weight for counter weighting .. It will unfortunately make it vibrate and the faster it spins the more its going to vibrate but that can be fixed with a modified harmonic balancer but will help it gain speed as the kinetic energy is exponentially increased as the faster it spins the more kinetic energy it produces which increase energy and so on and so on ... .. See , as each magnet is passing each other they are doing as you want them to do but because of the weight of the material they are going to lose kinetic energy ... I do not have a formula for the proper weight/counter weight for your materials weight but with a few trial and errors I believe you can isolate the proper counter weighting ... As the balanced shaft makes a rotation it will slowly lose force but slightly out of balance it will lose it and then immediately gain it back plus gain energy as your weight drops off the opposite side and this will help make up for the loss of kinetic energy ... Please try this and let me know what happens .. Also if you want to try an even easier method extend the shaft by 6 inches or so and put an out of balanced object on each end but slightly out of balance from opposite ends .... This will work better however counter balancing the entire motor with a harmonic balancer to stabilize it may be a little harder but in the latter case you can mount the entire motor on a modified rubber mount like a transmission or motor mount .... Once again please try this .... I'm very confident you will find this to fix the problem ... Be blessed my friend

    It will never work without implementing broken symmetry. The angles and arrangement cannot be symmetrical around the entire circumference of the device. But you probably knew that before starting. The purpose here was to show people that this is not capable of working.

      He didn't make a fake video, or misrepresent anything. He put magnets on wheels, spun it with his hands, and it stopped. This is exactly what anyone would expect. This should save people time who consider this, and shows the laws of physics/ thermodynamics working perfectly. A fake video would be if he used a hidden motor to keep it spinning, or another magnet wheel under the table spinning this one.

    Колёса должны быть со смещением магнитов одного колеса, относительно другого,
    а у вас магниты стоят в одну линию на всех колёсах, параллельно оси вращения. .
    Одно колесо, само по себе, работать не будет.
    Соответственно, и три колеса в такой же параллельной конфигурации,
    работать не будут.
    Только со смещением.
    Колёса работают в симбиозе друг с другом на одном валу.
    Только тогда это будет единой конструкцией.

    Любое устройство, требует настройки.
    А вы собрали, три параллельных нерабочих колеса, без настройки.
    Это у вас, набор запчастей.
    Сместите второе и третье колесо, на половину магнита,
    как в кодовом замке на дипломат кейсе.

    I understand a magnetic motor will stop at some point but if you can use a small motor to restart it when it stops why won't that work.and how long will a magnetic motor run before it stops and why cant you convert that to a flywheel and then a clutch that spins a alternator or something

      I didn't realize it was a magnet motor, as in ONLY magnet motor. I thought it was going to be a brushless motor. Anyway, it's not a waste of $1k yet. You have the makings of 2 very big motors, an inrunner and outrunner, assuming the magnets are laid out and numbered in a way to match up to coils. Or a generator, assuming you figure out how to keep the plastic from melting. Ooh! An induction water heater! Wrap some copper tube around it! Or maybe use it as some kind of magnetic coupling? Who am I kidding? I'm just trying be be optimistic. Nevermind.

    Simple question, why does it stops after a few seconds? I saw the other guy saying that it's just a flywheel, I understand what he means, but why physically it cannot work and just continue to spin once you start it?

      LeCoureurDesBois the motor itself is basically an equilibrium of forces. You have to pay attention that a magnetic field acts in all directions. For this reason there is a force draging the running motor into the direction of inertia but there is also a basically equal force pulling it back to the last magnet which just was passed.

    im not sure what you mean by that magnetic motors do not work. in refrigeration theres a new technology by turbocore i believe that use this principle for their motors. very low starting amp motors.

    what about the angle and the shape of the magnets, you had the plane to put them in angle but you placed them straight, thats reppeling inwards and does not help to puch the stator around.

    I think the inclination of the magnets should be bigger. There should be repulsion in the horizontal plane to create rotation.

    it would be have been cheaper for the school to buy Ansys magnetics simulation software and put it in software and test. perhaps they would see the results and make changes until they found a method to make it work, or they would see that it CANNOT work and will stop there. the poor guy worked over months in his spare time just to please the students and professors.

    Your problem is you have not configured it so that 2 rotors overpower the resistance spot of the 3rd and then the same again for the other 2 so each 1/3 of a rotation, 2 rotors are overpowering the resistance spot of the third. This is why these have 3 rotors.

    Hola tengo un esquema para un motor Con imanes de niodimio parecido al que construiste, lo conseguí por ahí pero no tengo los recursos para fabricarlo...
    Pero se me ocurre que tal vez te sea posible hacerlo con los mismos imanes que tienes (si es que aún los tienes jaja), o cualquiera que vea este comentario también está abierta la posibilidad.
    De hecho para una versión sencilla se requieren solo 7 imanes que cuenten con ambas polaridades cada imán (supongo que todos los tienen pero es que no se muy bien de estás cosas, repito lo conseguí por ahí, un amigo me pasó el esquema pero digamos que es de dominio público), lo único que quisiera es verlo hecho independientemente de si funciona o no.

    That first digital drawing you showed in the video. I made that 2d design for 15 years ago. That will never work. You have to combine magnetism with shielding to manipulate and control the force. Dont just try others ideas, think self. Simulate the device in your head.
