- Hatcher Pass is only open a few months out of the year and it is a fantastic outdoor playground for hikers and road trippers during that time. The road goes over Hatcher Pass Summit and has the fantastic Independence Mine State Park and lots of high altitude lakes along the way. Come with us as we take a road trip over Hatcher Pass in July.

This is my one my favorite places that I have been taking family visitors for the last 40 years.
I cracked up when Amy said she felt like she was in Sound of Music. When I was there, my aunt actually took a short video of me spinning around and breaking into “The hills are alive…with the sound of music….” (My aunt & uncle live in Anchorage and they took my mom & me to Hatcher Pass last time we visited. It was absolutely beautiful. Your video brought back great memories.)
haha great minds think alike! So glad you got to experience it as well!
So Josh and Amy what a hike straight up and what view! I loved those 3 lakes half way up! Wonderful! Thank you!❤️😀🇺🇸🌏
My dad was stationed in Anchorage in the mid 50s in the Army. He had beautiful pictures and was going to take us to Alaska but we never made it there. Thanks for sharing. Loved the views
This area is just 45 minutes from my house. Love the spinach bread, especially at the state fair. Fun to watch 😁
I live about that close too but I am scared of the drive. Maybe one day I will get my courage up to drive it.
Wow you guys made me live out one of my biggest dreams today and I'm so happy I'm crying right now because I know I will never get to go because I'm afraid to Fly,so thanks y'all for sharing I also love the father and son relationship I new it would be beautiful there in Alaska Thank again 💯🤗
You can drive to Alaska. It's much more adventurous that way too.
Love your content!!! Thank you for taking us along:) Happy Trails!!!
I'm from southern part of BC and I've driven there. Great place to explore.
So cool, that is a fun drive!
We were so disappointed that the spinach bread place wasn't open yet when we were there last May.
What a cool hike. I just realized that you can afford to travel to Alaska more than once relatively quick by plane as you live in California. Thanks for taking us along!
Love the channel so much keep up the good work❤
What a marvelous place !!!
When you're up in the mountains like that it ain't fog. Those are clouds rolling thru. 😉 Love your videos. I'll be using them as a reference for my next trip to Alaska.
that vendor has the wildest food selection, brazilian limenade, thai curry with buckweat soba?! or brown rice, italian soda, iced mint tea, and spinach bread plus breakfast burritos... though that spinach bread looks pretty good
I don’t know what to say other than stunning views. The mirror lakes and the reflection and the clarity of the water looks amazing. Thanks for sharing this trip.
Be safe ❤😊❤
Thank you for this video. My husband and I spent several days, at two separate times, camping at Gold Mint Campground, last summer. Enjoyed your views. We had some clear sky, but nothing like what you experienced. Of course 2023 was the summer of rain and cooler temps! I hope to get back and spend another 3 months there.
I think of all the beautiful sights in the video, the most beautiful of all was the spinach bread haha
BEAUTIFUL!! 🙌🏽
Beautiful scenery! Thank you!!
Awesome! Glad you got to hike Hatcher Pass...hopefully you got to hike Flattop too at some point!
We did, it was an awesome hike!
@@ThroughMyLens I used to hike it 3 or 4 times a week as a trainer for bigger hikes!
What an incredible area…so beautiful!!

Just a beautiful trip, Thank you guys so much for sharing it. So amazing, Is god's world is so amazing!❤
See you on the next one
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow. Wow. Wow.
Alaska is so amazing. First time we went in 2018, we spent a full day at Hatcher’s Pass and did the same stuff you did! Same two hikes. Both amazing! Add the Gold Mint trail and Reed Lakes to your list. They’re Longer trails but they look absolutely fantastic! We missed the Spinach Bread truck though! It wasn’t in Talkeetna when we went. Also you have amazing luck with seeing Denali!
Another great video. Unbelievably beautiful❤ hope to get back to alaska some day!
Wow. Very cool. Great video. SR
Thank you for your videos I so much enjoy them. Watching from Cheyenne Wyoming
Gorgeous views! The only place I've seen that even comes close is the top of Minaret pass in the eastern sierra, but that is very hard to get to! Thank you for sharing. 😍
فيديو رائع هنا 🌟🎶🔶
Amy is so pretty, Hello Amy!
Where Da fuq is pop at??
An "amazing area of Alaska"...called Alaska
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO COLORADO
I hope to in the next year or so!
Overall California or any other lower 48 states are way more beautiful than Alaska! This is my personal opinion after watching all of your and traveling Robert’s Alaska videos.
Great video, but you might want to monitor the audio level a bit more carefully. In a few places, your narration was much louder than the rest of the video.
