No one of us is any kind of actor, we did this short Yule film for fun, more or less without a script, just some ideas jotted down on a piece of paper. All in the spirit of, we have no Idea what we are doing, but we do it anyway. So don’t judge us too harshly ;)

I wonder how many people understand the beauty and rarity of being able to dip a cup into clean clear nourishing rejuvinating water. My heart breaks with joy for this gift for you all and also with sadness for its absence in so much of the world now.

Absolutely magical and brilliant! I was weeping for the symbolism and serenity. The backstory at the end got me teary eyed from smiling. You all never fail to DELIGHT!
You nearly had me fooled. I really thought you were out there all by yourself with little to eat and I thought how cold it must be with such sparse bedding. Only when I saw Tova dressed as a fairy tale figure did it click. Fantastic though, how you finished off the fairy tale by giving us the background to the story. Really well done.

Very beautiful and fun video Christmas card! I grew up in South Dakota USA of Norwegian heritage. As Children my mother would make a rice milk dish with cinnamon and butter for us on cold winter nights. It brought a warm memory back to me of those childhood days. God Jul! I previewed this to much delight. Tonight on Jul eve, my family and I will watch it on the big screen to experience the north country Christmases we knew when much younger. My grandmother was born in Sweden and came to the US when she was six years old in 1910 with her parents.. My great grandmother crossed the ocean alone with three little girls under age six (while nearly 8 mo. pregnant!) to meet my great grandfather, who had come before them to build a small home much like yours. They landed in NY and rode the train all across Canada to reach their papa and their new home in far northern Idaho. All our Christmases featured homemade lutefisk, potato sausage, Swedish meatballs & pancakes, pickled herring, spritz cookies. We were surrounded by the sounds of the relatives reading out Jul greeting cards sent from "the old country," and telling stories in Swedish. I remember so well, now at age 70. They have all passed, of course, by now. I love connecting with my Swedish ancestors through you and your beautiful videos depicting a life I imagine was similar to theirs. Thank you for the stunning professional-level photography you always produce and God Bless you & yours this Christmas and throughout the new year!

Great family history & traditions! Our ancestors endured so much to give their descendants a new beginning. My ancestors came from France & Germany & the ocean passage wasn’t on glamorous ships. I am so thankful to live in Alberta, Canada, where the land is beautiful like these scenes in Sweden.

That was amazing!!!! The visual story telling was incredibly beautiful and at the end when Father is home with his family was so sweet and touching that it made me tear up. Your use of music was perfect throughout. Just when I thought the video had ended there came the credits and clips of the filming process which added a layer of light heartedness and insight into it. Oh my, Matthias please be careful of all the heavy climbing through the snow, you must be sure your heart is strong enough to handle the cold and effort! I much prefer watching Tova in the warm kitchen preparing delicious food. I don't understand the 'yule' customs there but do enjoy your peaceful films, they help me through the cold winter months. This was absolutely wonderful! So peaceful and tranquil. And as I was watching it, thinking "I wonder who is following him around with a camera " you cut into "the making of"! It was a hilarious part and shows how much effort goes into filming. Both parts were very enjoyable! Merry Christmas!

While the first part was gorgeous it took me a bit to get past the blistering cold windstorm in US and remember good winter in woods. Then realized you weren't alone because of camera angle and was happy. But fully enjoyed the last bit,my favorite part of all great parts. Thank you for this beautiful gift. Be safe and warm
