- This Has been a long Time coming! with so many failed land based sessions on the Hawkesbury was starting to loose faith But the boat has unlocked new possibilities for me on this giant river system allowing me access to spots I could not reach by Land .. Lovely Fish Bro. My favourite table size is 75cm to 85cm, so that one @ 78cm was a perfect table fish. At that size I cut them into cutlets and throw them straight on the Barbie plate in some butter with salt and pepper. Food for a King !

Nice going mate just a pup ... just a tip stick with the ramp side of the bridge southern side 3 boat lengths out run out tide fishing towards the first pylon with lively... hang on.. tip learn a slip knot on anchor rope so you can go with the fish ...got a good 500 thr back in the day... everything passes the inside edge

Congrats, nice fish. That ramp is my local. For the lures, forget those rocks. The jew follow the bait, so it you really want to catch them you will need to slow it down and scan for bait schools. The jewies will school in there on steep banks, not just up in the rocks. More likely to catch flathead up in the rocks, look deeper like the nice 10m benches under the water. The schoolies also feed hard on last light which makes it super easy in the creeks, but in the day, there will be good jew on the bait if you can find it.
Very lucky to have that as local ramp …cheers for the tips ill keep in mind when fishing the mighty Hawkesbury !
