Thank you for this video. I took my car to the dealership because I heard creaking noises on one side of the car. The dealership told me it was the control arm and it needed to be replaced. They never told me about replacing the other side since it's still a new car. But I did go over a bad pothole on the side that was replaced. The car feels like brand new again though. Do you think the dealership cheaped out by only replacing one side? The alignment feels good now too, but still not sure.

Nah, if it's new and didn't get damaged. No need to replace good stuff.

Garage says the right ball joint is bad. The left is not. It can be replaced separately. is a bit cheaper than the whole arm. Car drives and steers very well except for a slight rattly noise. Tires are in good order.

If one side is cracked only, should both sides be changed

Nahhh. Just check for functionality and prepare to possibly get the other one down the road if time and money is an issue. I mean it can depend. Are you the only one that rides in the car in the driver all the time? Maybe uneven weight distribution wear.
