Just ordered a set today, recommended by Discount Tire in Lumberton NC. Receiving the 275/60/20 with a 2" leveling kit added on, rotated and balanced for 996 out the door. Not bad for an A/T 10Ply Tire. Because I have 3 jobs that require me to be on and off the road. This is going to make my life easy with an addition of saving a couple hundred dollars.

My car has 10 airbags to the tune of $1000s that will likely never be used. Meanwhile, a spare that costs the OEM $20 is a safety device that comes in much more handy, as I have had 4 flat tires in the last decade. Safety regulations in the USA should be updated to require vehicles be equipped with spare tires. Oh and while they are being updated, how about banning blinding headlights, touchscreens, etc.

The vehicle in the thumbnail is an Illegal vehicle, the wheels can Not protrude further out than the body of the car. This is to save people lives, think about Why? The MT2's are an ALL TERRAIN Tyre Not a Mud terrain. How do I know? A person with experience is Never at the mercy as to someone with a theory. The MT2 are AWFUL in the mud, borderline useless! Great in the beach sand but useless in the mud! The side walls are as weak as piss. This video is an advert, displaying zero evidence of claims.

Yah grew up with air tools like nail guns . Still use them but started getting a few cordless. Just saw a video on Milwaukee heavy duty cordless wrench and it kinda got semi truck tire lug nuts on but the pneumatic wrench got it much tighter..

I could train a chimpanzee to use that wheel balancer. I balance wheels on the vehicle,thus balancing the entire reciprocating assembly. This includes the brake, the hub,etc. These guys are not even in my league.

Bluetooth also uses 'radio waves'. Current TPMS uses 315 and 433 MHz band frequencies, Bluetooth is also based on wireless transmission of data but on different frequencies. The only difference may be in the data transmission protocol being used and it's resistance to interference.

After punctured the tire (pothole) I was in need to install spare tire, so I could only get in that situation 225/50/17 tire (other three are 215/50/17). One wider tire installed on the rear right position. I'm in the process of finding the same 215/50/17 tire, and occasionally driving with one wider tire (and with different pattern), and I didn't notice any change in control, balance, braking, also in 6th gear on highway. Do I really need to match one wider tire ASAP? What are the symptoms of driving with one tire wider 10mm than others on the system? Thanks.

Dumb question, my car say it fits 205 70 r15 and 225 70 r15, is it that much difference if I put 235 70 r15 on them?

In Australia road side assistance packages are crap, this is manly because worker are nor allowed to fix a simple puncture. This could be a lie but a worker has stated companies do not want to accept legal liability if anything goes wrong after they repair punctures. In the end its just a profit intiatives so that tyre shops don't lose money on simple puncture repairs.

hi, UK tech here, nobody does alignments over here [unless you have had a suspension damaging crash], tyres will last long enough to easily outweigh the cost of a glorified tracking check... same for the US oil-change regime, we only change oil once a year, or up to 25,000 miles...

Frustrating. Im trying to find out HOW the treads are made/formed. It's easy to see how the grooves are made but how how are patterns made? Is there a machine with the pattern on it and just presses against the rubber and melts it in?

For the last 15 years i apply thin layer of grease on lug nuts and center hub, i tighten by hand ,no excesive force. It drove me crazy to remove wheels after the canadian salty roads and garage overtorque. A bunch of friends start doing the same, so in the past 10 years or more, I know for sure that everything was just fine .

Swapped my Camry 010 tires for slightly bigger ones, the rear tires are now rubbing against the plate of the struts, causing the tires to smoke and give off burnt smell.

Can you help?!!! My brother a man in his 40's got a mini 6 weeks ago and 4 weeks from getting it one of his front tyres bubbled. Turns out the back tyre had bubbled and they replaced it before handing the car over saying it was road safe. It took 2 wks for the manager to come back to him and in that time the other front tyre bubbled. 3 of the 4 tyres all bubbled so my brother thought it must be a fault with the tyres. No the manager said it must be how my brother drives the car and he couldn't prove either way. That night my brother had a local garage look at them and they said the tyres had bubbled as they were both perished. My brother was/is mad and called the sales manager again who is still saying it's not there issue that nothing was noted in the inspection before handover. Please tell me how it's possible for 2 tyres deemed road safe to become perished and bubble in 4 weeks. The car was at the showroom for some time before my brother bought it and thinks it's caused them to dry out. He didn't buy locally and can't drive the car in its condition to the place he got it. Is this possible for tyres to perish after passing road safe checks only 4 weeks after?? Surely the car wouldn't have passed an mot the 4 weeks before he got it if that was all the time it took? There must have been signs. Is there ways the cracks were coved up so the place he bought the car didn't have to replace 3 tyres instead of 1? It's all a bit of a mess. My brother takes pride in his cars and looks after them. He's gutted as it's ruined the car for him.

This is not really a review, it's just a regurgitation of specs and basic knowledge. How do they compare to other tires? What about dry/wet braking performance tests?

I have a 2019 Honda CRV, that has some sidewall damage on one tire. The tires aren't old at all. New they come with 10/32" tread depth and my current tires are at 9/32". Hopefully just doing 1 tire isn't going to lead to more trouble
