- June Zoom 3 didn't see the amount of videos I would've liked; even getting this video out took a lot of effort after I got hit with (and recently recovered) from COVID-19. I wish things could've gone different but I hope you enjoy the finale regardless. Thank you!!

Yeah, now that you mention it. Wario and Waluigi have so much personality it's absolutely criminal they haven't been used more.
For example, in the intro to Mario Power Tennis. I don't know how many times I've watched that silly little 5 minute intro but seeing Wario & Waluigi actually interact with one and other really just makes me want a game where they go out and do crimes or something.
They could AT LEAST put Waluigi in a WarioWare game and I think I'd be content.

Note: what you've played and talked about in this video is Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart, which is a mod of the original Sonic Robo Blast 2 fangame, which is not a kart gale and is quite good with some fun level design (hence why they asked for an analysis). I definitely recommend you play the game regardless

Nice. Xenoblade Chronicles was a good choice. I hadn't thought about it cuz it has been so long, but living arrangements in that world seem to be pretty great. Beds, furniture, space, quality-of-life stuff, it's all there. A fairly comfortable place for NPCs. Just gotta deal with mechanical monstrosities and giant bugs right outside of town, but hey, I asked about living space, not the world itself. Thanks so much. Your dedication to your fanbase is the inspiring stuff of legends. I hope you haven't been hard or sorry for yourself due to everything that happened. None of that was your fault and I think we all, as fans, want you to be as healthy and happy as possible. You're such a good guy, and you should be proud of all the positivity you bring to the world. 28:27 Thanks for the answer! I can understand your frustration with the reused level themes, but it never really bothered me because they gave a unique spin on each of them. Act 1 starts out as fairly similar to the original, but then in Act 2 they throw in some new gimmicks and ideas to keep things fresh. It's not like Sonic Forces where they copy/paste old themes and do absolutely nothing to make them stand out from previous incarnations (except, well, sand, I guess). Glad you agree that the Hard Boiled Heavies are cool, though!

This is Luigi's first time working with it (Ignoring any titles that may say otherwise because afaik is there a Mario & Luigi title that shows him using it?), so it makes sense that E-Gadd is giving him a full tutorial on how to use it. It makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
Man, it took me a couple sittings to get through this video, but I'm glad I finally did! Sorry to hear you got COVID midway through this project but I'm glad you've recovered since then.
I quite enjoyed the design analysis of the NSMB levels and can't wait to see what other game design breakdowns of various mechanics or levels you have in store for the future.
I'm also glad your channel is growing so much! I think I joined either around the time the Lost Valley design analysis or Michiko Sakurai's History video were uploaded.

There I am at 22:35! Excited to hear you'll do a tier-list, with a (re)confirmation that you'll play more of the series! Definitely agree with the ending cases being some of the best in every game, the absolute highlight of JFA especially is 2-4, with how average the rest of the game is (2-3 is definitely the worst in the trilogy, even if it's not quite *as* bad as some people make it out to be, and 2-1 and 2-2 are fine but pretty average). Even if the best and worst cases are pretty obvious, I'm still curious how you rank the cases specifically, which of 1-4, 1-5, 2-4, and 3-5 are the best and worst, and how you rank some of the more in-the-middle cases, like how you rank 1-3 and 3-3 against each other!
I'm probably one of the few that caught you referencing Grisaia (hearing The Town Where You Are in one of your videos was a treat since it's my favorite track), I've only played the first but it also has a special place to me as the spiritual successor to Katawa Shoujo which I also enjoyed. I do however think the subject matter might be way too heavy for this channel and would probably fit better on a separate one.
I took a similar path, going from Katawa Shoujo to Grisaia. Both are fantastic.

I think by Sonic Heroes level set, Caribbean Wolf means levels that come in a pair, like Seaside Hill and Ocean Palace. Every odd level is followed by a similar even level.

Good job on this behemoth of a finale! Agree that even if the second half didn't really happen, this is probably the best June Zoom so far. The first half was packed with phenomenal videos.

One thing i do gotta say is to really try to not stress yourself out over uploading constantly or doing things that you say that you would do
from my own personal experience, i know for a certain fact that it's good to take breaks when it's neccessary, since if you force yourself to do things, you'll just burn out and things will become much more infrequent anyway
i know people always say this, and you've definitely heard this a billion times, but SERIOUSLY, do not push yourself too hard, do things when you want to and when it'll not break you to do so
the pendulem does go the other way too, of course don't let yourself get absolutely lazy and do nothing at all but take things slow and take breaks when you need to, and seeing that this video is releasing in august, it gives me hope that you are doing so

And if you ever want to get into speedrunning, here's a tip:
Choose a niche game or category for fun, chances are big there are either no records or you can beat them without having full mastery of the game.
I got a world record in Mario 64 by getting the most stars possible without using the A button and glitches. People can improve it by either beating the time or get 1 star more.
Just find something like that and have fun seeing how you yourself optimise a run, it's a fun experience to have :)
Should rename the series summer zoom at point. But, nah in seriousness it's great to see the video finally out and am excited to finally get into this nearly 3 hours video.

Also if it was Miyamoto writing these books, then I guess he got some writers block for the games since Sticker Star. Speaking of Sticker Star, I’m looking forward to the video on it! I totally respect changing the approach to the video from the original proposal in order to make a more genuine video. Although if it had been the case where you lost more of the games on that day, and you had to say that Sticker Star was BETTER than the first few games, then it would be a different case.
Update to my comment then, you should totally play the Jak series! Definitely an classic series from the olden days, I highly recommend.
It took me TWO HOURS and roughly 10 minutes in to notice that there was a car in the forest with its hazards on.
I gotta say, that's a LONG time to leave a car on. I really hope someone will go help them with whatever is wrong with their car!!

I always thought that Cario Party wasn't *completely* worthless, because I'm sure there are plenty of players who see Mario Party simply as a means to play some minigames with friends, and board gameplay is something that ties it together. The ultra simplicity of Cario Party makes it work just fine, especially when the minigames are good, even if I can't say it's particularly fun. But I think Shrek Super Party from 2002 took the idea of straight line board gameplay and made it much better than what ND Cube could have ever thought of.
You do travel on a straight line, but that straight line is a branch along with 4 others that stems from a center point. And you actually do move independently of other players. Instead of a dice block, you move by playing a physics based game of dropping a ball onto a 3x3 grid. You can get good at this and learn to execute a strategy, but since it's still rather common to mess up a little bit, you'll still have to end up working with what you get. Perhaps you feel confident in your minigame skill, so you land on a bug trading space to set up for an even better total of bug juice from the next minigame. You can get pixie dust and intentionally go to the evil bog, just to use the pixie dust to go back to the same realm and stall out the ever-increasing pot at the end. Or, you can memorize the pixie dust spaces on each realm and send somebody else to the evil bog to steal their dominance over that realm that has the most drops in the pot.
The minigame lineup is quite solid; the only major stinker is Hopping Helmets, but most others are very good minigames that I find fun to come back to and go for score, especially Sewer Rats and Petal Plucker. I guess the only thing to complain about is that minigames show up perhaps way too often, as they're triggered by abundant minigame spaces rather than Mario Party's per-turn system. It's definitely not enough to hamper the enjoyment, though.

Master hand is not a playable character because to shrink them, to make them able to be launched, and to remove their infinite flight would make them not Master Hand anymore. You can see how even though Ridley was handled perfectly he doesn't feel like any of the canonical incarnations because he's too small and doesn't fly infinitely. But Ridley can get away with it so much more than Master Hand. I'm honestly surprised you think they can work. They would have to alter the moveset heavily or they would simply be too strong in any free for all setting, and the moves wouldn't lead to fun gameplay on both sides in my opinion.
Also the food shows no sign of going bad so I think Luncheon Kingdom would smell great.
2:06:30 When I first commented this, I didn't realize how BIG this video would be. When I later edited it to loosen my request, I STILL didn't realize. I totally get you not doing it. When I started the video, realized it's size, and noticed how less structured it was than last time, I knew it wasn't happening.

Extremely hot take but I think Security Hall is the best Rouge stage because it challenges what you've learned from Treasure Hunting stages, especially if you do Hero > Dark. However, doing Dark > Hero is a big difficulty spike. I like replaying Security Hall because it helps to hone your Treasure Hunting skills.

To be fair to all the other Marios out there , Galaxy Mario might be more durable , but his power ups are only temporary , and considering the Fire Flower is one of the most common power ups in the Franchise , he might just get toasted

I am impressed with your dedication to the June-Zoom. I know that you probably wanted it to be more consistent, but believe me when I say that I am happy with how it turned out.
To be honest, it's been a while since I checked on your channel, but I am glad to see that you are still around. For a bit now, I have been losing interest in buying or playing Nintendo games and have leaned toward PC gaming.
