It's 2024 and I still watch these videos. That was such an unbelievable year. My grandpa passed away before this but I know he would have been overjoyed to see them finally win it all.
@peterpanek2926 I suppose, but overall, he was terrible. Never been a Heyward fan. Terribly overrated. His best season was his rookie season with Atlanta.
@@peterpanek2926 Sure, but a below average hitter for his career. His defense is what kept him employed. A guy his size should be hitting 30 or more hrs a season. He hit 27 one year. He's a career 250 hitter.
I'm not going to knock anyone on a championship team.....the Cubs at this poiny are about 15 years away from even getting close to Championship quality.
5:32 = Crucial, critical moment in this series; that throw by Toles could not have been much worse; a Good throw would have Easily nailed Zo .... horrible decision, by GJ, to send him, but .... thanks to Toles, it gave the Cubs the kick they needed. .... lol and In game 6, Toles gave the Cubs another gift, .... ;-)
True, but that Game 7 speech is stuff of legends. I was disappointed in his plate output, but his intangibles were what finally put the Cubs over the hump.
It’s hard to see evidence that the palm of his hand was on home plate (because his fingers definitely were not) so I agree with the call. It was really close though
@@楊晟-x5u Gonzalez' hand was clearly hovering about 1 to 2 inches above home plate when Contreras tagged him, and after the tag was made, Gonzalez touched home plate. It was the right call 100%

Maybe he was watching over them!
Hard to emphasize how bad Heyward was during the post season.
But gave a rousing speech during the rain delay! Intangibles.

Gold glove in fielding saved a few games!!

Despite all his off-the-field problems, Russell was a stud during this series.
Amaizing videos... 2016 cubs wonder team🎉

To me it's the play earlier with Adrian, that CHANGED everything
8:44 they ended up getting Yordan Alvarez btw
Gosh all these videos are just filled with Jason Hayward being an automatic out

@LakeFX The Cubs didn't need that speech to win. They would have won game 7 regardless. That speech is totally overblown & overrated.

Pitching baez and bryant were carrying us om 2-26 rizzo?😅
Rizzo hit .360 in the 2016 World Series. He hit a HR in game 6 off Kershaw in the NLCS. Go laugh at that!
Rizzo a home run, single, and 3 rbi this game 😛
Urias went home after this game and smacked his girl around, I bet.
Horrible review call

waaaaaaaaaaah! Cuz God knows dodgers NEVER get the benefit of bad calls at Chavez Latrine (i.e. strikes outside the zone).
