Didn’t realize it until today but this was the last game at wrigley with the bullpens in foul territory
My grandmother used to tell me stories about how the Cubs would one day win it all and break their long drought. She would often see them on TV through the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s, but they never won a championship. On October 20th, 2016, my grandma had a major stroke and never came out of a coma. 10 days later, during game 5 of the World Series, she died. It is still shocking to me that she waited a long time for them to win, but she died just a few days before they broke the curse

I learned that my Grandma died when I was at Wrigley in 2014 my dad felt that was the best place to tell me ❤️ she lived 85 years and never got to see them win. I know she was watching from heaven in 2016 ❤️❤️❤️

I may not care for the Cubs. But you gotta respect the fight they had against Cleveland being down 3-1 and erasing the “curse”. Imagine being at wrigley during this world series as a sports fan oh man it would be insane

If I recall correctly, that Indian's run in the second would be their last lead of the series. It took a couple innings to erase that, but after that, they would never lead again.
