@Jason.Takes.Manhattandefense and fielding cost the Mets a chance at a World Series. Both teams went blown for blow but the X factor was defense with too many back-breaking errors causing the relievers to be overexposed to the Royals.
this was a kick in the teeth for us for sure, but we didn't feel hopeless after this loss, at least I didnt, we knew that this team could win in the playoffs, if they did not have this run to the NLCS, we do not win the World Series in 2016, that was the big downfall of the 07 and 08 teams, there was a lot of pressure on the 08 team because they did not have the experience of winning a postseason game
