Hi Colin, that’s right no one wants a soggy pie! I think the foil dishes I use are also responsible for that. I got my from the pound shop. Yes I cool the filling down before filling. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching. 😊
Oh don’t be Millsy. Maybe just cook the beef pop it in the fridge over night and the next day concentrate on the pastry putting it together and cooking. You’ll do a great job 😊
Excellent till I got to baking at 150 for 30 - 40 mins. My backside is hotter than that. After 40 minutes I have pale coloured cardboard. Managed to save my pies after increasing the temperature. 🙄
Hey Keith I used foil dishes . There’s like 8 in a pack for one pound. I got mine at the pound shop, they come with lids they are the type used for take always . I find the pie bottom cooks better using this type of foil dish. Hope that helps ,Keith. Have a great day 😊
Brilliant! The bottom of the pie looked nice 'n' firm too. Not soggy at all. Is that because of the foil allowing the crust to cook through quicker? Thanks! 😃
