This is why the Chiefs are UNDEFEATED

  • The Kansas City Chiefs beat the New Orleans Saints 26-13 in Week 5 of 2024 NFL Season. Andy Reid started the game on script and that lead to the Chiefs scoring a touchdown on their opening drive. Andy Reid is an offensive genius who schemes his opponent's weaknesses every week. The Chiefs perfectly utilize their star Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and allow for him to control the flow of the game which makes it very difficult for opposing teams. And when you add in Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt, and Xavier Worthy it makes the Chiefs a really tough team to beat.

    How anyone could say the Chiefs offense is toast is not paying attention. The Chiefs model is no longer chuck it deep 20 times a game like it was in 2019. We have THE best defense in the league, we don't need to score 35 to win anymore. We beat you by controlling the clock and killing you with drives that take 7+ minutes, a run game that you can't stop, and a defense that attacks your run game and your quarterback.

      100% a true strategic game plan. And if it comes down to and they have to score fast they have the best in the business running the show.

      @@LegitJonex The Chiefs have had the best team in the NFL since Patrick Mahomes became the starter. Andy Reid uses the same conservative play it safe, keep it close, and let Mahomes and/or Butker or the defense win on the final drive of the game. Which makes every game closer than they should be. If you ever noticed "every time" the other team scores a touchdown the Chiefs score one in return. That means if they ever took on an aggressive game plan they could blow most teams out. If it were not for Mahomes, Butker, Spags, and the defense always stepping up, they don't win any of the extra close 3 super bowls they won.

    Andy and Patrick are literally the perfect marriage. Coming from a lifelong Chiefs I’ve been trying to tell the “new” Chiefs fans that Kareem is a better RB than Pacheco…he’s just a better all around back, and I love Pacheco. People tend to forget that in 2017-18 the offense was starting to click on all cylinders when Kareem was the lead back. That being said when Pacheco gets back from injury, the backfield will be even more lethal. Beautiful breakdown of the offense here. Great video brotha 🤌🏾🔥

      Hunt has always been a much better RB than Pacheco, Hunt had the potential to be the best in the league before he made his mistakes and had to play backup to Chubb. He was an absolute MONSTER while with us before, and showing the same again. NEVER thought we'd bring him back though, I would have been willing to bet my house that would never happen, glad I was wrong.

      I really like Pacheco... great kid who is getting better every day, but let's be real... Hunt's vision is FAR superior to any RB the Chiefs have had since he left. In the ground game, when KC can get 5 yards instead of 1, or 3 instead of zero because the RB finds the right seams... that better enables the Chiefs to have the long, sustained drives needed against the current defensive meta of the 2 high safety shell.
      Great drive breakdown, keep up the great work!

      @parriswalton6837 10 дней назад

      Unfortunately with the Andy Reid's predictable same conservative keep it close game plan every game the Chiefs will never get out to a big enough lead to rest Hunt. Having Hunt carry the ball over 25 times a game will eventually wear him down. Hopefully they get smart enough to start running the score up on opponents or subbing in players who are less likely to fumble once CEH returns. Because having Hunt in addition to Pacheco and CEH healthy come playoff time would be a luxury.

    • @parriswalton6837
      @parriswalton6837 10 дней назад

      The smash mouth running style is why Pacheco got hurt. There is a time and a place to use that style and it is typically to punish a tired defense/team late in the game. You don't want to try to do that from start to finish. Because you must take some to get some, which increases the odds of the Chiefs picking up unnecessary injuries. You have Patrick Mahomes, what a luxury. You could use Mahomes in the hurry up no huddle at anytime during the game, not just on the final drive of every game. Imagine Mahomes going deep on 1st down? Imagine the defense never knowing what to expect. Imagine using a different game plan based on the time in the year and team you are playing. Patrick Mahomes used creatively would be the NFL's biggest headache.

    Marcus Allen was 33 years old when the Chiefs acquired him from the Raiders in 1993. He'd already been in the league 10 years, but his last 7 years he'd spent in Al Davis' doghouse (for some reason known only to Davis). Kareem Hunt was 29 years old when he re-signed with the Chiefs, after 5 years as a 2nd option running back in Cleveland. That's my comparison - Kareem Hunt can be and should be the #1 running back in KC this year - Pacheco needs to heal up, rehab and get ready for 2025 season.

    I'm SO glad I found your channel, as I wanted to learn more about football as a new Patrick Mahomes fan (my fave quarterback of all time), and you explain things so well! Can you explain why so many people say he has bad footwork and mechanics? And all the emphasis on WRs, when he's struggling with the problematic tackles? If they get amazing l/r tackles, and give him 3 seconds, it'll be so easy for Mahomes. Liked and subscribed!

    • @LegitJonex
      @LegitJonex  11 дней назад +2

      We’ve never seen anyone be as effective throwing and making plays from weird angles. Mahomes is not a traditional QB in that sense. From a technical stand point he breaks a lot of rules QB are accustomed to being taught but he has his own style and he’s so successful he’s just an outlier. Basically Mahomes plays backyard style football in real games at an NFL Hall of Fame skill level. Thank you for subscribing!

    • @NickCory-nh1no
      @NickCory-nh1no 11 дней назад

      When people talk about footwork or a "throwing platform" it's about having your feet under you and set up properly. On a traditional quick throwing play you may hear something about a 3 step drop by the qb from under center. Basically he's just taking 3 steps back, planting his throwing arm foot and stepping toward his intended target with his non throwing arm foot and pushing off his throwing arm foot to generate the power for the throw, while providing the accuracy via a repeatable consistent platform with his feet.
      Go watch some Drew Brees or Brady highlights, these were great examples of "by the book" pocket passers with great footwork. You'll notice most their on time throws coming after they hit their drop, push off their throwing foot and step toward their target with their other foot.

    • @FuzzyJCats
      @FuzzyJCats 11 дней назад

      @@NickCory-nh1no tysm, ironically it seems that it's better to use Mahomes mechanics since he makes everything look so easy, and I frankly think he's the GOAT by the eye test and stats? It makes sense to emulate the best, but quarterbacks do the opposite of Mahomes.

People hate on him but when you see that play it leaves no doubt why the Chiefs signed him to a nice contract.
    Those bunch sets are slaying. It's not just drawing this stuff up that's wild. It's the execution. No wonder Reid likes to stick with his guys and wide outs who know the system. Teaching this stuff to someone new must take time and if they miss their assignment, it ruins the whole play and game plan. Perine will get more work as he learns whats going on. Juju, Hunt, Fortson LOL thats the call ups and they look amazing. I'd expect more 13 and T-Rex packages.
    Crazy how open Kelce was and Gray in the red zone on those plays. Keep breaking this stuff down. I'll be watching your vids.

    • @LegitJonex
      @LegitJonex  11 дней назад

      That was a great finish at the goal line by Taylor getting Hunt into the end zone.
      And you are completely right it’s not just the play calls but to have the whole offense on the same page executing is really impressive. Especially with players who were not your day 1 starters. I think that speaks to Reid’s ability to relate to players and the trust the players have in him as well as the system. Another example is Worthy, he’s a rookie who is aligning and motioning all over the field with ease like a vet but in reality he’s a little over a month into his first NFL season.

    I'm not keeping up with the terms. I think "match zone" is when the D is part man, part zone, based on the matchups. You can't just see or not see the defender following the motion many to determine zone or man, any more. I think I've seen KC mix it up that way, before. Show man coverage and then the defender who tracked the motion man across the formation blitzes from the slot!
    Back when Wayne Fontes first brought run-n-shoot to the NFL, KC's answer was to bring pressure from the slot. I wonder why that didn't become a staple feature of NFL defenses ever since. Blowing up the bunch by sending a LB with his hair on fire directly through that bunch always seemed like the best strategy. Use one guy to knock 2 of the 3 off their routes on his way to the QB.
    But NFL coordinators successfully use the bunch to manipulate the coverage. "There's so much to think about!" Make the offense think. You're not thinking. You're laying wood to 2 of the 3 guys in the bunch, disrupting the quick pass and getting a quick pressure out of it. I guess that's why I was up all night writing a midterm for diff eq, instead of being a player or a coach. Couldn't be my utter lack of talent.

    • @LegitJonex
      @LegitJonex  11 дней назад

      Match zone is similar to man coverage but instead of declaring who you are covering at the start of the play. You cover the man who winds up in your zone. Cover 4 plays as a Match zone. Different than Cover 3 for example where the defenders play a little looser an guard an area such as hook or curl/flat

      It’s just rewinding. It’s how you watch and study football film. It’s a breakdown

    1:21 in you claim all is covered but NEITHER on left is covered. He could go under to Worthy or over to side lines for deeper WR. He could go Worthy or fake Worthy to draw defender and pop it over defender head for deeper gain. He had soup du jour there. He is just playing it safe.

    • @LegitJonex
      @LegitJonex  11 дней назад +1

      They are covered by body position in space. In a zone you don’t have to be fully hip to hip but you have to be in position where you can make a play on the ball and man. Up until the LB put his focus on Mahomes they were in a good spot but after that, you are correct Mahomes had options and truly by deciding to run it he turned down a HUGE play. If he dumps it to Worthy it might be a touchdown. Still a 10 yard gain tho and that’s why this team is dangerous.

      @@LegitJonex that's open. Both are open. Worthy is easy underneath and easy throw the other fully open.

    Great content 💯. By the way, Hunt has only been on TWO teams: Chiefs, Browns and then Chiefs again. Suggestion: research players first before speaking about them. It establishes better credibility for you. 💯🙏🏾❣️

      I guess it "worked" for them..but Kareem playing second fiddle to Chubb didn't really allow him to showcase his abilities. I fully believe we would have been super bowl winners the year he got sent packing..sad it played out the way it did. But the redemption tour is now in full swing. 💪
