I´m a big fan of Bruce, but Paul Di´anno simply was a monster on this concert. He was incredible. I´m a big fan of Nicko too, but for me, Clive Burr was the best drummer of all time.
This got me is the quintessential Maiden line up. I still heavily rathe the rest of them but this was the line up for me.
Best drummer for their first three albums, too bad Paul's not the vocalist for Number Of The Beast.
I wish clive.would have stayed in the band
This album changed my life at 12yrs old. Still my al, time fave album and fav eddie. And line up. Perfect album and iron maiden, no one could touch the first 2. Clive was gone because of politics. Same with Stratton. Adrian was a great improvement
I agree with everything you said

Conclutions: Máster piece 👌
This concert is how I discovered Iron Maiden. I was a 12 year old kid in Miami Florida and this came on late at night. My taste in music was forever changed. Ive had every album since incuding their first.
Fast forward to Feb 15th 1985 my 1st time seeing Maiden live at the Hollywood Sportatorium just north of Miami on the World Slavery Tour. Best show Ive ever witnessed and the tickets were $15. Still a huge fan today!
Iron Maiden is a band that I've had the pleasure of falling in love with all over again. When Adrian then Bruce left I lost interest. It was actually after I listened to No Prayer for the Dying. That album was not exactly one of their best and with Adrian gone it just wasn't the same. I was listening to stuff like Soundgarden, Ministry, Alice in Chains and Tool. When Bruce and Adrian came back it was such an amazing feeling to see the band reunited plus they kept Janick for a 3 guitar attack. Brave New World was a triumphant return to form and I got it the first day it came out. Still after the initial high wore off I was just into other bands at that point(Tool) so I basically just forgot about them for years. Obviously I knew what they were doing but I didn't listen to any of their albums after Brave New World. I heard a few songs here and there but nothing major. It wasn't until the lead up to Senjutsu that I began to get that itch. The itch to delve back into Maiden. I bought Senjutsu and after 2-3 listens, I was absolutely blown away! I then started to look into all the other albums I had missed like A Matter of Life and Death and I was completely floored! What an incredible album! What a fool I was to have missed it while it happened! Next I turned to The Final Frontier. This album was very different in terms of sound and feel but once I sunk my teeth into it I was blown away yet again! Next up Book of Souls! Again I'm blown away! Dance of Death is next. It's hard to put into words how much of a pleasure it's been to have the opportunity to discover all of these Iron Maiden albums one after another. It's like binge watching a series that you have never seen before and you can go from episode to episode and season to season without having to wait. It's like that but much better! A friend of mine who I've known for over 40 years were talking and we both agree that Iron Maiden is the best band in the world hands down! It's tough to articulate the level of excellence this band has achieved! The fact that they are all in their 60s and that Nicko is 70 and they can still come up with something as incredibly brilliant as Senjutsu just completely defies logic! Not only is Iron Maiden the best band in the world, they are the best band in the history of rock music. They are the best there ever was and ever will be! Up the Irons!
Dave Murray is so underrated. HE SHREDS
Yep. This is the Iron Maiden I found 40 years ago. I was blown away when my buddy put Killers on. When I want a drum workout I’ll play to this. RIP Clive. Miss you Paul
Paul was one of the greatest frontman in history! Great job!
Totally agree, this entire band actually.
Singing like a CAGED LION !!! Amazing Di`Anno
Thank you so much for this live !!! Paul Di'Anno in his absolute Prime is UNTOUCHABLE!!! (Amazing aggressive voice, dressing, just ESPECTACULAR) The man has real SOUL in his voice!!!
So well said, like reading my musical mind.
In all seriousness, why did they get rid of him? what a huge mistake!
This far superior version of Iron Maiden together for just one awesome album Killers is the most sublime intense rock band ever.
Clive Burr - Drums the Best (R.I.P.)
Dazzling metal punk rage. Friggin intense. Fortunately this was filmed. Blows away Dickinson and Mcbrain. This version of Iron Maiden is totally awesome and should have stayed together longer, four more albums.
The best Iron Maiden era!!!
27:16 is so strange now without the "SCREAM FOR ME......."
This concert was in december of 1980.
Nobody sang Killers and Remember Tomorrow as Paul. Great singer, pitty his current situation. I was 18 when this was released. A big Iron Maiden fan eversince.
I was wrong, every one of the 3 singers of Iron Maiden have their own signature and they are all great
There have been five singers in Iron Maiden.
In a word: Wow! Thank you for uploading this. Vintage, raw, in-your-face metal from the East End of London. Up the Irons!!
Brilliant the king of heavy Clive Burr .i saw the 82 tour but paul was out but clive was still in
Saw them on this tour and it was life-changing. Di'anno was THE MAN! Up the Irons!
Greatest Iron Maiden concert
Steve just committed one fault, didn't make a reunion with these old guys. Would be unforgettable.
The current Legacy of the Beast tour would have been the perfect opportunity to bring some of the old faces back.
Imagine Di'Anno coming on stage to perform the songs from the first two albums. Even Blaze doing a couple of his songs.
And Dennis Stratton playing songs off the first album.
Then everyone on stage for Running Free to finish off the set, with a picture of Clive Burr just above Nicko.
I tell ya, there would be tears in the audience. It would be epic.
@@szithaanu9934 It would also never happen ever sadly
its 2023 but this is timeless
iron maiden at their best with Paul Di'Anno and Clive Burr
Clive sure. Dianno is a mediocre talent at best.
Medicore? This is their best.. That's why Bruce and Nicko can't cover these songs the same
Paul was the man that with the rest of the band was the real IRON MAIDEN!!!!.....in my world harsh living up to the name in your face....that was iron maiden back in 79 and early 80 81 and a little 82....you rock Paul always loved you as the front lead singer 😊
Best era of Maiden, hands down.
Clive Burr, the best Drumm
er of all times!!!
I became a fully-fledged fan about 1985. I remember buying this on VHS and it was like the holy grail. Made In Japan made real. They were such an exciting band for a 13-year-old to be into. Paul spoke to my punky couldn't care-less side, Bruce to my more thoughtful literary-interested side, with his brilliant lyrics. They'll never be repeated. Obviously.
Wrathchild still kicks ass !!!!!!
I love this version of iron maiden. I wish I could have seen them in this model. I lo e Bruce Dickenson. They had a different vibe. Punk and metal mix
I love the Adrian Smith's guitar tone in this show. Thanks.
You can not airbrush Paul out of Maiden, he helped lay the foundation to make Maiden a great band. Bruce is also a great singer, but it was much easier for him after Paul had done a lot of hard work for the first 2 albums. Clive also on drums is awesome!! I hope Steve can get Bruce, Paul and Blaze together and have a awesome show with all three of them singing together.
This dazzling and intense Iron Maiden rock concert video deserves to and should have like 170 million views, not just 17 thousand. This lineup version of Iron Maiden is literally and definitely my all time favorite rock band. No other musical group will ever sound and appear better than this, with such explosive elegance, hypnotic and mesmerizing and totally unforgettable, absolutely luv it.
I mean like seriously friggin wow.
Listen to the audience roar!
Saw Maiden in 1982 In New York for the first time. Fan 4 life!🤘🤘🤘
Man that had to be amazing 👏 can you tell me about that concert 😫
was it at msg? i saw them in october 82 with priest
Yes sir!@@GRILLBUOY101
Paul Dianno - Vocals
Steve Harris - Bass
Dave Murray - Guitar
Adrian Smith - Guitar
Clive Burr - Drums ,,,R.I.P.
My favorite line up ❤
Di anno is the real frontman of Iron Maiden 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Am a huge Iron Maiden fan and I have every album and I love them all even the records with Blaze Bailey but as much as I love everything they did with Bruce , hands down the first 2 records with Paul Dianno are my absolute favorites His Vocals were so unique and a great mix of punk and metal style vocals. And I love Clive Burr and have always thought he was a better drummer than Nikko but Nikko is awesome too
This superior version of Iron Maiden (Killers album only) definitely should've stayed together for the next few albums, like friggin wow just imagine a punk metal laced Number Of The Beast album with Paul Dianno singing, although awesome Clive Burr is the drummer, thankfully.
I agree 💯 with what both of you said !
one of the best concerts in rock history, period!
It's crazy how well their music gained so much attention (based on what I notice from the video) and it was back when they released Killers, the second Maiden album. To see where they are now is sick. Up the IRONS \m/
É um privilégio ter imagens deste show clássico do iron maiden marca a participação do vocalista paul di anno a lenda e do baterista cliver burr o melhor baterista do iron maiden
long gone are the days of maiden doing 7 song sets lol
One of their besrt lives !!! Paul Dianno Rules !!!
Burr was my drummer Dio was my singer, dime was my guitarist newstead my bassist
That's a pretty decent line up
This brings back great memories the atmosphere was brilliant and they played Iron maiden and phantom of the opera twice that night
Wish I was there
@@patkelly8309 1980 was a good year for me and going to concerts because I saw Iron maiden 4 x times ,Gillan when Ritchie Blackmore joined them on stage ,Samson with Bruce Dickinson, white spirit with Janick Gers on guitar and both nights of Blizzard of ozz at Hammersmith odeon
Me lembro perfeitamente quando comprei o ingresso do show em São Paulo, em 2008, sobrou um dinheiro do ingresso e comprei o DVD early days. Assistia todos os dias copiosamente o show live at rainbow, gostava mais do que o hammersmith odeon 82 e Dortmund 83. Bons tempos...
Eu adoro o começo de carreira do iron maiden são músicas diretas e curtas sem irrolacao não é a toa que killers é meu álbum preferido de todos eu adoro está fase do iron maiden
I was growing frm Maiden 16yrs Old till now,Maiden Rulez
Que chimba Maiden, puta de lo mejor en la vida
Clive Burr the best drummer. How glorious would Maiden sound with him.....the best line up with him RIP
He had a sense of feel that I would've killed for. So relaxed behind the kit
I love every member of this band, particularly this lineup. But Adrian Smith was and STILL IS the coolest Mofo in Iron Maiden!!
Facts
Thank you for the upload . I had this on vhs . Long forgotten . What a great memory. Maiden at there best in my opinion.
Melhor formação... Killer ALBUM the Best
my friend still has this on its original VHS release
Old school right here! ✌🤘⚡
Iron Maiden is the worlds best heavy metal band in United Kingdom & the worlds.
Wow, I didn't know this existed. Thanks!
This is epic
Epic
The best Iron Maiden
Huge mistake getting rid of Paul Dianno.
Iron Maiden didnt need Bruce > 9:39
Michael Bruns: there is a reason why Steve Harries fired / sacked Paul D, its very well know music band history, are you new to Maiden? In case your wondering, ive been a fan for over 40 years
Paul was a liability, he needed to go. There's no animosity between them, so it's all good.
Can you imagine hearing Paul sing run to the hills?
@@noelbullard4676
The entire number of the beast album has the superior clive burr, too bad the irreplaceable Paul Dianno is missing.
@@michaelbruns449 what happened happened paul couldn't handle it Bruce was a much better and far superior replacement
Nice!!...iconic Eddie face behind Clive burr intense love it 😀 😍 ♥️
Maiden at their absolute zenith here. wow.
🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 GREAT STUFF !!!! I saw them in this line-up in December 1980 in Bremen, Germany, as a supporting act for AC/DC. Wonderful times, only some people know about them at this time in my hometown.
back in the day ahhhh
The real iron maiden
i started out today like this ill end itlovin

Ah les gens et leurs opinions à contre courant, comment peut on dire que cette incarnation de maiden est au dessus des autres ?
La nostalgie sûrement.
I have this concert recorded on VHS. They should it late night on TV (Don kirshner rock concerts)
This entire concert had to have been filmed… I can’t believe the whole video hasn’t surfaced yet. I sure hope it does someday!! So many great songs left off this 30 minute video 😫
The gig was to just produce this video - they only played this half hour set (albeit several times)
I was there that night, you are right it was a full gig and due to technical problems 2 songs had to be redone, which made it a very late finish. It was a long time ago, but I remember reading in an interview that due to cost they only recorded the tracks for the VHS, the rest of the concert wasn't filmed unfortunately. I saw them a number of times on that tour, great memories
Those were the damned days😁😁🤗🤗👍👍🖐🖐🤘🤘🖖🖖
wooooooow
I just noticed that... after watching this heaps of times.😀 Has anyone else noticed the Maiden logo at the start (00:09) and the end of the video (28:54)? The "M" looks like it is mirrored but it is not... It is just wrong...🤔
Yeah, the bottom point on the left side of the M should be on the bottom right, just like the N. I’ve seen this video a hundred times and never thought about it. Good eye!
I was there in 1981
me too! Nothing like it. We knew we were witnessing history in the making!
Guys are sooooo lucky i wish i was there🥲
This venue, now a mosque in Finsbury Park! North London, they were supporting Judas Priest hence only 7 numbers!
They played more than 7 but there was a power failure so the rest couldn't be recorded on video.
They didn’t just play 7 numbers they just put seven on the video lol and they wasn’t supporting Judas Priest this was a headline show...Maiden wee on their own winter tour of the uk.
Thanks so much for this. You able to tell me what was the deleted video in your full concert playlists ?
ow so muchto like
Take the percecution no one left to be found,
01- The Ides Of March (Harris, Paul'Di'anno)
02- Wrathchild (Paul'Di'anno)
03- Killers (but nothing Paul'di, anno backs in the voice) [Harris]
04- Phatom Of the Opera (Harris)
05- Iron Maiden
06- Remember Tommorow (harris, Paul'Di'anno)
painful to see the difference between that Paul and the one nowadays...
Some horrible gigs in Australia...😐
They were a rock n roll band here, a punk-metal proto, much better than what they would become.
Bruce DInckinson o melhor vocalista paul di anno a lenda histórica do iron maiden
See you then, what are you even doing here if that's what you think?
Paul sounds more punk/metal voice which I prefer that's what makes the two albums unique
It's probably why Eddie is changing his appearance to this day he's lost with out Paul as front man singer they both were married at the hip😢
I think that face was prodigal son I could wrong its been many yrs sence a teenager in that time period
oooh the first album
Cuando lanzaran la version completa de esto? Seguramente para la gira "despedida" cuando giren con paul.
1981 eh
thank you they wouldnt come to winnipeg we would have paid then
Killers letter?
What is the guitar at 0:19 (edit) I know it's an explorer but wanna know what year and model it is
I dont know, but what happened to it when they got on stage? never saw it again...
@@michaelbruns449 I found out it's a 1980 hammer explorer copy
@@michaelbruns449 I also found out I t was a backup guitar for Adrian's Ibanez destroyer Wich means he didn't use it that often
Thanx for the info...

Eu acho bem melhor o maiden com o Paul
Também irmão
Raw, dirty, punky, underground, pure, aggressive and metal. The way it should be. Not that commercial shit with Dickinson.
TOTALLY!!!!
@@punkyinthebrainBruce Bruce is a arrogant wanker... although I do think he's great on quite a few albums... "Number of the beast" to "Seventh son of a seventh son"... barring "Live after death"
...the band sounds great ...but he do sounds burnt out ...
"Punky", Ironically Steve Harris has always hated both punk and punks lol
gonna throw a gauntlet....paul was and is better than bruce, and not nearly as whiny.
Well he was better...I don't know about lately...some of those shows of him in Australia are pretty bad... he's my favorite Iron Maiden singer... although I do like Bruce Bruce between "NOTB to SSOASS"...hope he gets outta that wheelchair...it'll be the end of him 😐
Maybe not as whiney but better....ummmm no
