- Reposted so can be seen as a whole rather than in parts as before due to length restrictions . This version inludes all the BB King footage , on previous video last song was left out. No details were given in the credits or by the presenter when and where this was filmed and I believed this at first to be from French TV but it turns out that this was filmed at Montreal University 1980 for Spectel Video directed by Jacques Méthé .. If any copyright holder objects to this video I will remove on request.
These are not the complete performances but just an edited condensed version for TV broadcast Видеоклипы
You can't ask for more, Muddy and BB
Never seem a guy so smooth as muddy
They know they played those guitars and sang them blues...love it!!! My granddad owned a juke joint and as a little girl I remember going to see him & my granny Saturday mornings and you could always here the blues playing next door!! I'm still a blues baby. Loved listening to these guys, Z.Z Hill, Mel Waiters, Marvin Sease, Denise LaSalle, Betty Wright and KoKo Taylor just to name a few
Muddy Waters.... king of soul.....
I 💘 Muddy Waters, I can listen to him and 💃 all day long.
Man, the old blues men had that straight-down-to-it, no bullshit way of playing that it's almost impossible to find nowadays.
I wasn’t into the Blues until my friends formed a Blues band, I would go to most of their gigs, now I’m more into it than them, for real! Great stuff here by Muddy, he helped out Buddy Guy with a salami sandwich, haha, told buddy he wasn’t going back to Louisiana , yeah man, one more legend born!! Ain’t nutting but the Blues man!!
Какая сила и энергетика,очень сильно. Корифеи блюза!
Who in their right mind would dislike this?
The GodFather of the Blues, Mr. Muddy Waters, and his cuz, B.B. King!! Ain’t nutting but the Blues man!! All the rest of the legends of the Blues, RIP men and the ladies!
To me Muddy Waters was the KIng of the Blues! He had that true Robert Johnson Delta Blues feel, he just electrified it.
robert johnson wanst the first to play blues hope you know that
He’s my favorite blues artist.
Yes!! My thoughts exactly! Him and howlin wolf electrified the delta blues flawlessly
He still the king in his own right who ever played 1st
Have to agree with your assessment… Don’t forget about Albert though 💯
First time I saw Muddy playing slide. Great stuff 👏 👍 👌
I was able to see BB King once before he passed. What a privilege to hear the great blues players in my lifetime.

BB is killing it in this performance!!! So good!!
I had the pleasure of seeing bb 3 times and he always killed it... I was within a few yards when he said I'm gonna do this till the day I die

Siamo al top, insostiibili
Great find. Thanks for the upload. Muddy was an amazing musician and he knew other great musicians when he saw them. I loved seeing this band live in the 70's. Together, they were a powerhouse and all of them have or had stellar bands of their own. It was a joy and is still a joy to see them play together. RIP Muddy, Pinetop, Willie, and Fuzz.
utterly cool.thanks for posting this.
Fascinating to see BB's musical director Calvin Owens doing his thing - no wonder the band was so thight back then!
When ever I get the blues I listen to Muddy....
QUE MARAVILLA ENERGIA TRANSMITEN GRANDES ARTISTAS¡¡

Awesome!!...Saw B.B. just a few years ago at DeMontfort Hall...John Mayall bash with B.B. as guest...Got hooked on The Blues in early childhood thanks to my mum...Now my grandkids hooked too!..THANKS!!
Would gladly trade all of today's so-called musicians to have these two legends back!!!
Me too, me too... Absolutely. Love from Macedonia
muddy waters and bb king are legends. i had the privilege of seeing bb king a few years ago at the community center theater in my hometown of sacramento california. i got hooked to the blues at a young age watching bb king on the cosby show with my dad. i still love the blues today and i especially love the blue music of bb king and muddy waters. R.I.P. muddy waters and hopefully bb king will stick around on this earth for a little longer so that we can enjoy his music some more.
Peter Jarvis I agree peter the blues is here to stay
I love BB King I first listening to Bob when I got my heart broken at age 18 still love my blues!!!
Dam. I did not know Muddy spoke French. Thanks for uploading!
This is what makes BB King of blues did y'all know that Jimi Hendrix play with Little Richard and BB King and Isley Brothers too Jimi Hendrix and he developed his own style he became the best rock and roll singer that ever played a fender caster and Jimi Hendrix 🤜
I love to watch b b shred those fast boys one note at a time
Dear Lord, please watch over everyone and keep them safe from harm. Protect them from any danger or misfortune, and grant them Your divine protection.
I remember, mostly, listening to Muddy and Mike Bloomfield in my youth.
I still love the blues so much ...EC continues the legacy, these days (I think) and also thanks that his research and devotion to the blues EC has enhanced the current generation in this genre
But there is no substitute for the originals!
so thanks for sharing this vid.
OldEMGStrat EC And MB are good guitar players but never really Blues men to pink to play the Blues ✨✨✨🌞✨✨✨
ThE armónica still plays w Eric
You'll never see BB King play and sing at the same time.
You try
montreal repped, we now wept

awesome vid! merci mon ami, c'est genial.
muddy is the man, bb is the showman
My first 3 blues concerts were B.B. King followed by Muddy Waters, twice…John Lee Hooker was the 4th show.
Muddy & myself share birthdays 🎉
Viva el Blues
Instrumental from the beginning is " chickenshack". most of the time, Muddy opened the show with this one. I saw Muddy eleven time & he always opened like that.
Muddy Waters, un maître es Blues !
awesome !!
Muddy is the koolest!
Now this issss the blues
Thanks stringgrip, awesome!!
Brilliant! Many thanks for sharing.
Najwyższa półka król bluesa BB
Impressive. Thank you Sir for posting.
B.B. only played a few notes but damn were they good ones!!!
With that beautiful tone, too.
If you want to hear a few more notes, find Branford Marsalis' 1991 album with BB's Blues on it. BB plays up to his ability to show the jazz cats what he could do. Precious!
Thanks for the upload, Muddy Waters was the first L.P I bought back in 1960.
I just love it !
it's filmed at the Centre sportif du Cegep Edouard-Montpetit de Montreal 1980
Thank you.

Muddy really enjoying himself - shouting "I'm happy" at Jerry Portnoy.
THAT UN - MISTAKABLE GUITAR TONE OF B.B. KING - - !
❤
Senzational!
Don't forget Paul Butterfield !!!
Yeah, cuz Paul Butterfield is as great as B.B. King and Muddy Waters.... not. And I'm a Butterfield fan.
Don't forget the great Mike Bloomfield!
Did you realize, that BB cannot sing and play the guitar and sing at the same time? No big deal, he himself said that he couldn’t
That's OK. Blues is good for that.
@@theresewalters1696 Yup, ain’t nuttin but the Blues, B.B. King is one of the true legends, amongst others. That’s right!!
what's the title of the second song played?
Wow
the real deal
White boy (I’m white) playing that harp like no ones Business, fuk yeah!!
There was an instrumental part at the beginning , I thinks its an excerpt of the song 'Mudcat'. I only meant full version in terms of the footage I had ,it was previously posted in shorter excerpts due to length limits at the time. As stated in the video explanation - "These are not the complete performances but just an edited condensed version for TV broadcast".
It's Chicken Shack Jimmy Smith .
what is that intro song called of bb king?
Luuk Siewers Google bb king sings Louis Jordan
ai sim de más
The Instrumental part is missing from the beginning! That is NOT the FULL VERSION.. :(
ok
what the song name that muddy waters played at 4:26
They Call Me Muddy Waters
Great dear BUDDY...😂
Ah! I was hoping it would be both Muddy Waters And B.B. King playing together! Does anybody know of any footage of that? This is still good though!
Classic blues by some blues masters; can you feel it? Listen to the solo playing on the second tune if you get a chance! Just spend some time with it. It s a great performance. Muddy is the first half and BB king is the second half with a full brass section.
Is that Lee Oskar (WAR) on the harmonica?
Jerry Portnoy
Is that Otis spann at the piano?
Pinetop Perkins
Mas nada
