- What is there to say? This was my first lap with the GR Yaris following the Moneyshift, rebuild and addition of new mods!

There's no you can mix this with regular Yaris unless you're blind, the body-kit is huge.

TRACTION OFF: Misha, reading the manual might help (I hate reading them, too, BUT...): it says that you only can switch off completly if the car doesn´t move (page 227 german manual ;-))
I´m not 100% sure as I haven´t got my car so far but I guess I remember it worked during my test drive.
Where to get the manual? I'd love to read it prior to delivery..

Video showed up in my subscriptions again👍 Good to see the GR Yaris back on track!
It always was showing up, you just missed it. I've thought many times as well that a video didn't show up that I found later on the frontpage and if I look based on upload time it's always there in my sub feed as well. But great reason for Misha to start collecting more money.
@@dacmm For me, and probably many others, it wasn't showing up yesterday. I am not subscribed to many channels so it's not hard to see if a video is "missing" from that list. It was on my home page, and if I went to my subscriptions the last video was uploaded 19 hours before that.
If you don't like the membership option, then don't become a member. You can support Misha by becoming a member, but he doesn't oblige anyone to become one.
@@dacmm it did not show up for me either and I did check the sub feed, nothing. Had to go to Mishas channel look at his uploads to find it. becasue you see it do not meen that others get can see it.
It didn't show up for me, but I actively look for the videos. But yeah, the RUclips algorithm can be frustrating I hear, god knows how it works.

On the subject of the assists, really odd they don't just show:
TCS - HIGH/LOW/OFF
ESC - HIGH/LOW/OFF
The "sport/expert track/track" modes just seem utterly confusing without really telling you what's on/off.

Notification & subscription issue’s aside, of which I have no issues to mention. That Yaris’s capability on track is fantastic. The corner speed you can now carry through the bends is immense.

This is easily one of the "scariest" things on a TF session. It's common sense, but still..
That sentence can be applied to people in general, "people who don't remember history/the past are doomed to repeat it"
If u take 2 steps forward don't forget to take one step back and see if your progress leads you in the right direction.
Remember it's called "Touristenfahrten" for a reason
Imagine it's your first time on the ring, and your first time in a car you just rented. It's not easy to get your head around the track, the unfamiliar car, the constant far faster traffic...

I saw that your lane-assist was still active. Try switching that one of aswell, so it wont interact with the steering. Wasnt on the track yet, but in quick road mode it helped me cause i always had the feeling that it worked in the background even though it didnt flash in the dashboard

Please push the back arrow on the steering wheel next time to remove the warning on the dash so we can see boost, oil temp etc. 🙂

GR owner here.
Mischa, notice on your first long press of traction control button whilst you were in Track mode, the car displayed the 'Expert' mode. Expert mode still keeps some ESC active.
On your second longer press of the traction control button, you had all the lights on for VSC and PCB disabled, but there was no 'Expert' mode next to track. This is the mode you want for minimal safety system intervention.
What an epic little car and judging by the number of RUclipsrs that have brought one after a test drive it probably "does just what it says on the box", I am much more interested to see what can be got out of a GR Yaris than Chris Harris in the latest Porsche GT3.

Been watching since the days of Boosted Boris. Yours was the first channel to introduce me to the Nurburgring properly (always knew about it but nothing more than biggest track in the world and you can drive on it).

I remember my 2016 Toyota corolla S + You had to do this Pedal dance technique in order to fully disengage the traction control from the system.
When you hold it for :30 seconds it shuts off. But doesn't fully shut off. lol. So the FRS/BRZ/GT86 Pedal dance technique works. Maybe try that and see if you can fully remove the limitations of the traction control system. Toyota has a knack for always limiting the traction control. Hence why so many GT86/BRZ were used to hooning around haha.

Misha, the GRY has a card holder, it's under the visor, the thing that blocks the vanity mirror has a slot in it for cards. 😃

Me gusta mucho como funciona este Yaris se le ve rápido en las curvas y no mete ruidos sus neumáticos, en que me parece mucho 9.5 pulgadas de ancho y los neumáticos de 265 para un motor de serie ,pero de chasis es el mejor de nurburgring, solo hay que ver los vídeos,gran trabajo de puesta a punto, cuando podamos viajar a nurburgring, lo alquilare para ver las diferencias con el mio y ver las mejoras a hacer ,un aplauso 👏

I think the traction control issue is likely because the tire pressure monitoring system warning light is on. I know you guys have aftermarket wheels so probably aren't running TPMS sensors. I suspect you will continue having these issues with traction control until you get that light turned off. My best guess anyways!

1/8 tank fuel spend in 1 lap ? So 5 or 6 liters to 20 km (98 oct. sure), this little 3 cyl. 1.6 l. in hot mode is really thirsty. Really nice video, congrats.

Misha, there seems to be endless bad things going down with RUclips...to say the very least, and I'd say it has to do with it's owners.

Might have to pull some pull some ESC fuses.
Misha, check the Lane assist system... It seems you hadn't turned it off, as the Lane assist icon (top right on the central info screen) was still illuminated. I'm guessing that was tugging on the steering, not the TC. My procedure on Start-up is ignition, press lane-assist button (top right on the wheel) for 5 seconds to turn the f*****g thing off and press the iMT button. Only then can I drive away!
I had TC on expert mode at Goodwood for my first track time in the GRY, and it wasn't intrusive. Having said that, I don't have your skills. Yes, you can turn it fully off with a long press of the button in Track or Sport mode. But what an awesome little car - I saw 130mph (208kph) on the Lavant 'straight'.
What about letting people watch the full videos, without editing or cuts, when they sign the membership? Guess it would even help you train your skills while recording (even more) :)

Hey! Have a Yaris! So the TC is a bit confusing, when you single press it goes into expert mode, long press the expert word no longer shows and you still have the warning lights in the dash. Then it's fully off. The TC in Expert is really not aggressive and works well with the stock setup (no idea of it with Clubsport suspension and 265 tyres).
The steering thing is for sure not the TC. I also have the same thing on mine (thinking of asking my dealer to take a look). It only happened to me at the ring (didn't feel it on a flatter track like Hockenheim) and when turning hard going downhill. Never felt it uphill.

On Traction and ESC: The fact your tire pressure monitor is illuminated might be giving you issues. I know it's different between vehicles and especially cheap vs expensive systems, but considering this is a Toyota "Yaris", the Traction and ESC may be using the TPMS for info. If it already thinks you have low pressure/uneven pressure it may act unexpectedly.

The Yaris seems like a real fun track tool.
It isn’t about fun, it’s a sports car and must be taken as a weapon.
Traction control could be completely off by holding the button, but you did it in the middle of the lap, and the collision avoidance system seemed to be working when that Beamer was in front.
Still waiting for the corona rules to get a bit less in germany, sure you can do some laps but watching from brunchen and stuff is also part of the experience. Got the brand new 2021 Bridgestone Potenza sport tires and would like to test them out on my Cayman.

I think the reason why people are not looking constantly in the mirror is missing pratice. I never drove on the Nurburgring. But one day I will. But if you are new it is hard to do all the stuff at the same time. So be kind with others, it must not be something like planed handycap from those guys. Cheers and thanks for sharing it with us.
