Lex DEFINITELY gets it!! Def Leppard's music is as relevant today as it was back in the 80s! The fact that they're still selling out their concerts with generations half their age is a testament to how timeless their music truly is!!

I’ve seen Def Leppard 4 times throughout their 80’s-2022 career. I’m in my 50’s now but wish I could go back to the 80’s and freeze time. 80’s will forever be the best era ever!!🥰🎵
Was on an official government trip to Tacoma, WA and Def Leppard was staying in our hotel while on this tour. I ended up on the elevator with Joe Elliot and Phil Collen, we had some small talk, and they ended up giving us back stage passes to their concert that night at the Tacoma Dome. They were awesome, and the most down to earth "rock stars" you could ever meet. Cheers!
Lex, you're 100% correct - those who lived through the 80s and experienced the music of that time as it was being made will always have that as a big part of their lives - there will always be something extra special about those years in particular
It's weird bc I was born in the late 80's and my dad always played this music. I always have a sense of nostalgia whenever I hear any of these songs... Even when I first listened to the songs when I was a kid... It just has a nostalgic vibe to it.
I was going to say the same thing - Lex what you're saying is so true. I graduated high school in 1983. And this album of Def Leppard "Hysteria" was great music. It came out in 1987. This video maybe in '88. It was their 5th or 6th single from that album and it shot album sales through the roof. But I am getting off point. I just turned 57 this month. I was 23 and 24 in '87 &'88. I was at one of these concerts. It was called "Theater in the Round" because the stage was set up in the middle of the arena. Like where a NBA basketball game is played. Usually the stage would be at one end. This time they put it in the middle. It was crazy. This video is of them setting up and in concert. I loved this time. Nearly all the 80's. "I see them perpetually young." Inside we are Lex! And Def Leppard stills plays concerts. We all look older but we feel young. Especially when we listen to this music. "It stays with you. It feels like that era lives within many people that we come across everyday." Lex you said it! And I knew exactly what you meant because for me and I know a lot of my friends understand exactly what you're saying. It is a part of me, of many of us that lived and loved in that era! It's like an old girlfriend. She will always have a piece in my heart. Only bigger. I don't dress that way anymore. I don't have very long hair anymore. But in my heart and being, that time, that era as you called it does live within me. I still listen to Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Journey, Aerosmith, Van Halen, AC/DC, Eagles, Triumph, REO Speedwagon, Guns N' Roses, and many more. It was a great time and I don't think it will ever be repeated. And I don't mind because it still lives within me!
Spot on Lex! The 80s were my teens and I'm grateful for it to this day. It's not just nostalgia, it's a thing. So say my Zebra-patterned jeans anyway. Yeah baby
Lex is on it! I feel like that was back when things were more original and so it was who they were. Not so much anymore and this around before me. They are just as good in concert though, even 20 years after this!!
Lex is so spot on when she talks about us being frozen in time like that. It does feel like it was just yesterday. The experience of seeing a live show at an arena or stadium in the 70's or 80's was just phenomenal.
Oh god it was SO much fun going to concerts in the 80s and 90s and YES, it does stay with you especially when you watch a video or concert video again!!!! And Def Leppard were one of the bear bands to watch live!!!! Please check out Photograph from them!!!

Def Leppard is my older brother's favorite band. I remember being in elementary school back in the mid-to-late 80's, and he'd come pick me up after he got off from high school or college and we'd drive home in his old blue Chevrolet and he'd blast Def Leppard and I'd think there couldn't possibly be anything cooler. A few years later he took me and my cousin to see them live, which was my first big name band concert ever. I'll never forget that I managed to get to the very front of the crowd when they were taking their final bow and Rick Allen returned my thumbs up with his remaining hand. Good times.
When you mentioned it's a vibe that sticks with you, definitely. I'm 42 and I still jam to my 80s rock, including Def Leppard all the time. My kids even listen to my music and love it. I to this day prefer rock from the 80s over any other era, with the 70s rock in a close second place.

Their producer, Mutt Lang, was relentless in his pursuit of musical perfection. It’s said that was looking to beat Michael Jackson’s record of having five singles on one album.
Came out my senior year of high school. Def Leppard is still on tour well were going strong just before "the virus". I'm sure they will be back on it soon again if not already.

You are so right, Lex - Def Leppard is timeless. This is from MY day, early 80's, when we tuned in to watch MTV for these music videos every day. But Def Leppard is still performing kick-ass concerts in their 60's. Also, if you haven't yet, check out their "Rock of Ages" - you will rock out!
I was born in 79, so the 80's are my childhood, with a large wack of 70's in there, the 90's where my teens.... I grew up with with some of the most iconic music.
Lexxi, you are spot on. I'm 53 years old, and I get the same goose bumps on my arms today as I did in 1987 when I hear PSSOM. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you hear it for the first time. It is an awesome tune from an even more awesome moment in time.
Hysteria was released in 1987. When Pour Some Sugar On Me came out, it topped the charts for months! It's so refreshing to see you two love it so much.
Please be the first couple to do Jackson Browne's Stay/Load Out song. This was a live version on his 1978 "Running on Empty" album that was amazing and deserves the credibility to be right up there with other greats like McCartney's - Maybe I'm Amazed, Bob Seger's - Turn the Page, and Don McLean's - American Pie.
After loosing his arm in a car accident, Rick Allen created an electronic pedal system for his drum set, the majority of his drumming is done with his feet
I DO love this video ! Brings back so many memories from partying as a kid in the 80's fer sure, but also from the 2000's in my career in AV... flying trusses in the air, building stages, flying stacks and lights and projectors for 10... 12 hours of gruelling hard work... but then... it's all up there on stage in the end... F*CKING MAGIC !
Lex, that is very perceptive. Yes, as you get older that feeling of the music you grew up to never leaves and it is a part of you. And when you hear it, it brings out that emotion you once had. It never goes away. And that's a good thing.
Def Leppard killed it with 1983s Pyromania album. Then, in 1984 their drummer Rick Allen lost his arm in a car accident. The long awaited follow-up album Hysteria came in summer 1987, with a one armed drummer, Rick Allen. Not just any follow up album, an incredible sonic feet Rock anthem extravaganza spawning 7 hit singles!!! With two arms Rick Allen was the quintessential, top shelf, Heavy metal, Rock drummer. The fact Def Leppard returned with Allen, delivering such a musically adapted successful album with Hysteria in 87 is still a mind-boggling achievement. Seven hits off one album ???? That’s like trapping lightning in a bottle seven times. All this with a modified/adapted drum set to keep Allen in the recording studio and perform with the band. What?! Yea.
This was 1988 Joe Elliot the lead singer and Brian from Queen are Best Friends. This was the first tour after the drummer Rick Allen last his left arm in a car crash, left arm was severed off. This happened in 1984 and they gave him time to rehab and he built a new drum kit, Queen was starting to use electric drum pads. The live video of this song, it’s call in the round and in your. Amazing It’s a round stage and the drummer is on his own round and he spins. I seen this tour and it was probably the best concert I ever went too Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/sZXiP_pFWa8/видео.html
color me jealous. It's one of the few concerts I missed out on looking back that I wish I would have been able to go to. I was still in high school, and my mother was pretty restrictive on those things. My first concert (that wasn't a family event) wasn't until 1991 and by that time I had missed the 80s hair bands that shaped my high school years.
You're not wrong Lex. I grew up with this music and just for a moment once in a while I feel like I'm back there. It's nostalgic. I might be older now, but I don't really feel older and some of my memories from then are so vivid & clear that this music can teleport me for a couple minutes. Then my daughter calls my name...and it's like,....oh yeah....im a dad now. I got stuff to do. Every time one of my hero's dies, it's another piece of my youth fading away.
I was born in 1962. I can definitely say that the 80's was my best decade. The music was awesome and full of talented people. This was when MTV (Muchmusic up here in Canada) actually played music videos. I love how different your reactions usually are.
This is, by far, the best reaction channel! Thank you so much. You are both angels in my eyes, and Lex.. this is exactly how I feel 34 years down the line! Love to both of you ❤
I saw them in concert about 4-5 years ago in Houston (Cynthia Woods Pavilion). They sound ALMOST the same live as on the album. They put on an incredible show.
This is the 80’s❤️ I am 54 and I still feel like I am in my 20’s lol! I saw Def Leppard in concert in 1983. I was 16 and it was my first concert ❤️. It was the Pyromania tour and it was amazing!!❤️
Def Leppard was (still is) one of my all-time fav bands! You should definitely check out the rest of their music. (Lots of rock, but some great ballads, too, like Love Bites.) I still remember when this song was brand new. And yes, Lex, it's an Era. That vibe is always in our hearts and our minds. Thanks for the reaction!
It is like that, Lex. High school was late 90s for me, and the music and vibe from that time kinda stays in your heart. But the worst is when someone puts a number to how many years ago it was 😂
The boys from Sheffield can really rock! Def Leppard was my favorite band in 1983 when Pyromania came out. Saw them in concert then and have loved them ever since.
I turned 20 in 1980, and Lex you describe it so spot-on. The best part of watching your reactions is going back and feeling that youth again. We had great music, clothes, and friendships that required being face to face. You're descriptions of how it makes you feel needs not be explained to me because you're perfectly describing how as a 61 year old from that time period, feels inside, reliving these moments.
So much of their sound from this period is thanks to The Rockman, which was a portable guitar amp that a lot of producers started using as a pre-amp plugged in a chain to the stack head. The Marshall Stacks are all set very neutral and the Rockman would allow the guitar player (or producer) to dial in his specific tone. Fun Fact: The original Rockman was developed and built by Scholz Research & Development, Inc., a company founded by Tom Scholz, who is also the founder and a key member of the rock band Boston. Def Leppard and Boston have a similar highly compressed super clean distortion guitar sound.
Love your reactions guys. Also, I've deep dived into reactors watching Def Leppard for the first time. And all of them were astounded by how Rick Allen can drum so well. Such a very interesting topic, yet tragic as well .
This song and Animal which you already reacted to are from the late 80s. Def Leppard's earlier stuff has a harder rock sound to it. Rock of Ages was probably their most popular and should get the most views. I think both of you will like it.
The drummer for Def Leppard always said that he was a better drummer after he lost his arm than before. He said that it forced him to be more exact with every stroke of the stick. That was always so fascinating to me how he used the accident to improve his performance.
It wasn't full house. This song was in an episode of Family Guy,Coyote Ugly,Rock of Ages, trailer for blades of glory and a video game guitar hero:warriors of Rock. PSSOM was in the 80's
THE DRUMMER FROM DEF LEPPARDS ONLY GOT ONE ARM! THE DRUMMER FROM DEF LEPARDS ONLY GOT ONE ARM! Don't know if they reacted to it yet but that'd be a good one to see.
They still are fantastic live. Just saw them in the stadium tour a week ago. An excellent live show. If you guys check these comments, look for a video of this song love on their current tour.
Did you notice their AMAZING one armed drummer?? When he lost it in an accident the band didn't do what most bands would do and replace him. No. They waited for him to heal and teach himself how to play one handed and with his feet then continued on as a group. And it paid off✌💕🤘😍
Saw them on this tour (‘88) and they KILLED! “I feel like that moment in time was forever…” Oh, Lex…. it is when I listen to this…. but, depending on how things in our lives have gone, these past moments bring joy, mixed with a deep sadness…. because those were the best days of our lives and so many heartaches/breaks/mistakes lay ahead. Treasure your youth….❤️
I SCROLLED, I SAW, I HEARD, ((I SUBSCRIBED!!!)).....😎😎😎✌️✌️✌️🎶🎶🎶 Hope to hear more Rock from you two...I was checking out some of your other REACTIONS, and I love what I'm seeing & hearing!! 🙂🙂🙂❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤 Thanks for sharing with us your genuine reactions, you guys are the BOMB!!! I totally get what Lex is saying. I grew up in the 90's and I never left. I'll always be a 90's kid at heart till the day I die. 💯🎼🎶😝🤘🏼
I grew up in the 80s the best era for music hair bands.
I was born in 79, so the 80's are my childhood, with a large wack of 70's in there, the 90's where my teens.... I grew up with with some of the most iconic music.
Yes, that was an era in rock that I thought and wished would never end. I worked backstage with them on one concert
This was a live version on his 1978 "Running on Empty" album that was
amazing and deserves the credibility to be right up there with other
greats like McCartney's - Maybe I'm Amazed, Bob Seger's - Turn the Page,
and Don McLean's - American Pie.
They started in the 70s, but made it big in the 80's Brandi Modrak XOXO.
A favorite of pole dancers everywhere! (And mine). Their concert energy was off the scale.
After loosing his arm in a car accident, Rick Allen created an electronic pedal system for his drum set, the majority of his drumming is done with his feet
Let’s see them react to Stealheart. The song “I will never let you go” love to see Lex reaction.
Killer ballad.
AND other Steelheart songs !
How about Firehouse Don’t Treat Me Bad? No?
I DO love this video ! Brings back so many memories from partying as a kid in the 80's fer sure, but also from the 2000's in my career in AV... flying trusses in the air, building stages, flying stacks and lights and projectors for 10... 12 hours of gruelling hard work... but then... it's all up there on stage in the end... F*CKING MAGIC !
Lex, that is very perceptive. Yes, as you get older that feeling of the music you grew up to never leaves and it is a part of you. And when you hear it, it brings out that emotion you once had. It never goes away. And that's a good thing.
Yep she's hot...I am hopn' by2023 she'll jam to Bluegrass....
This song was the soundtrack to one of the best things I ever experienced. Holy hell, 1988.
This is actually a really great album, mostly, unironically.
Amazing
It’s a round stage and the drummer is on his own round and he spins. I seen this tour and it was probably the best concert I ever went too

Rick Allen
Saw them at the Tacoma Dome. You're right - best concert ever.
color me jealous.
@@vinniedixon1140 dang. Fricking phone changed it. LOL
@@grobinson7507 It's always the phone ain't it lol
Dr. Brian May of Queen inducted Def Leppard into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. They played this song that night and sounded so great!
Lex is a rocker at heart. I can see it in your face. Love you guys.❤❤
Makes me think my daughter and I could take Lex, and you, to any rock concert we go to and she'd go wild, too, and really have fun!
Man my favourite def leopard song is too late for love, definitely worth checking out. Love the reactions brad & lex keep em coming!
“Heard it at the grocery store”
Ha ha nice try Brad 😉🤣
You are absolutely right Lex. We are growing older but we will hold on dearly to those times.😉💕😎🤘
This is, by far, the best reaction channel! Thank you so much. You are both angels in my eyes, and Lex.. this is exactly how I feel 34 years down the line! Love to both of you ❤
I saw them in concert twice in Tacoma, Washington for this tour. Stage was in the middle of the arena. Everyone had a great view.
Brad you've probably heard this song in a strip club. They used to play this song like crazy.
I saw them in concert about 4-5 years ago in Houston (Cynthia Woods Pavilion). They sound ALMOST the same live as on the album. They put on an incredible show.
That's because Joe Elliott sings to tracks. It's like lip syncing.
This is the 80’s❤️ I am 54 and I still feel like I am in my 20’s lol! I saw Def Leppard in concert in 1983. I was 16 and it was my first concert ❤️. It was the Pyromania tour and it was amazing!!❤️
Same. I’m 55 but mentally I’ll forever be in my 20’s. Physically, not so much😂
'80's seemed to be more of a vibe, than an era. Music was incredible.
Lex it nail it on the head! 63 yo guy and it makes me smile like you do Lex. Peace and Love everyone!
When Brad almost reveals he remembers this song from the strip club...
or the film coyote ugly
The lead singer is Joe Elliott. He sang the soundtrack of the movie, Rock Star, starring Mark Wahlberg. Great movie!.
80’s hair band, I listened to them all though my high school days
Nope. Not a hair band. They weren’t from Los Angeles or the 80s. They’re from the 70s England.
Love your reactions guys.
Also, I've deep dived into reactors watching Def Leppard for the first time. And all of them were astounded by how Rick Allen can drum so well. Such a very interesting topic, yet tragic as well
.
it’s timeless, I grew up in the ‘80’s and the feeling never leaves you . The music was the best , videos the best
Can’t forget the best movies, clothes,
This song and Animal which you already reacted to are from the late 80s. Def Leppard's earlier stuff has a harder rock sound to it. Rock of Ages was probably their most popular and should get the most views. I think both of you will like it.
Rick Allen is a drumming legend. Coming back from that car accident and staying with the band even after that.
The drummer for Def Leppard always said that he was a better drummer after he lost his arm than before. He said that it forced him to be more exact with every stroke of the stick. That was always so fascinating to me how he used the accident to improve his performance.
One of the most iconic songs of the late 1980's.
Graduated high school in 86 but this song was epic
It wasn't full house. This song was in an episode of Family Guy,Coyote Ugly,Rock of Ages, trailer for blades of glory and a video game guitar hero:warriors of Rock. PSSOM was in the 80's
Def Leppard - Love Bites next 🔥🔥🔥
Ooooh! Yes!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lex is so cute. Love how excited she gets listening to this music.
I’m 46 and let me tell you. The 80s were amazing! If you know you know. It still lives in us. Better times guys. Much better times.
This song was #1 on the local radio top 8 at 8 for about 30 weeks in a row when first released.
Rick Allen jamming with only one arm. Truly stunning and so much love and respect
THE DRUMMER FROM DEF LEPPARDS ONLY GOT ONE ARM! THE DRUMMER FROM DEF LEPARDS ONLY GOT ONE ARM! Don't know if they reacted to it yet but that'd be a good one to see.
"That era lives within". Very true. I'm still 30 in my mind, even though I'm older. I don't dress in 80's clothes though, LOL.
80's baby
"Heard this before"
Said every guy thats ever been to a strip club!!!😜😜
This song has never played in a grocery store unless the bananas are peeling themselves muwahaha
This ABSOLUTELY was an era. For teens in the 80’s, they were SO good. Still good!
They still are fantastic live. Just saw them in the stadium tour a week ago. An excellent live show. If you guys check these comments, look for a video of this song love on their current tour.
Meant live
Love the energy they bring to the crowd!
Saw them like 4 years ago still great...
This was their first album and tour after Rick lost his arm. They refused to get another drummer! I saw them on this tour!
“I feel like that moment in time was forever…”
Oh, Lex…. it is when I listen to this…. but, depending on how things in our lives have gone, these past moments bring joy, mixed with a deep sadness…. because those were the best days of our lives and so many heartaches/breaks/mistakes lay ahead.
