So a tip I don't hear people talking about so I will mention it. You can do something I call Katacancel. By building a basic katakuri you can cancel out some of the slower animations. For example if I am setting a ki base on the ground I can build the fire katakuri before the animation is done and immediately active the fire buff canceling out the rest of the set ki base animation. I find it is most useful when setting a base directly on the ground, reabsorbing the bases mid battle and loading the red ki energy for the big laser.
A thing to note for the karakuri box move, is that it consumes your heat gauge. The more you have, the higher the damage. Its a good option when fighting extremely mobile kemono or if you cant find an opening to hit and generate a fortified base.
I still didn't get it... can't do it... i can't fukkin reload and she won't do the freaking mortar... she just standsc there like, My weapons on fire, how cool
Bloody hell... I kinda liked the look of the staff because I like SWAX and CB. But I also like to yell "SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!.... BEAM CANNON FIRE!!!!!!"
I have been really loving the cannon. I was told early on that the weapon was crap but did not buy into that and give it a fair shot. I am convinced that they people that think this is a bad weapon just don't understand it. It really is all about getting into the red and using the laser as much as possible.
It took some time and I started out avoiding it. It seemed like a weapon that would better used in the later part of the game once you've got the higher damage options in upgrades and better armor. That's what worked for me. It's what I did with the maul also and I intend to learn the staff next. The maul is a good time too
Combine thread thrift and speed charge for a very long laser shot. Sometimes too long as the recharge is faster than the drain. After about 7 or 8 seconds it will just fire the final shot since it would never end otherwise. Not a good build for solo hunting tho
I want this cannon so bad! But I gotta wait till I can buy the system and game. And this will be my main once I can finally access it. I'll probably stick with the katana or bow until then.
It's actually pretty strong I can solo hunt with it and the Bow solo usally 2-5 min hunts if I play correctly, 15 if I'm getting my but slapped because I'm dumb sometimes.
It should be fast charge skills. It will increase the rate that ki bases recharge your energy. Then firing from the ki base it lasts longer because of it.
Everyone that has reviewed the game that is known for covering the Hunter genre has been really happy with it... Arekkz, Rage, Darkside, Fightincowboy, Force etc... Sure it could be cheaper and I dont like spending $70 but I also don't like spending $8 on eggs.. Im just happy that I have a pc powerful enough to brute force through these performance issues. If they are true to their word should be fixed in a couple days.
@@Xanthira222 You don't have a powerful enough PC to brute force the issues, you're just ignoring them. More importantly, who gives a fuck about what any of these youtubers think? They all get paid for this shit, and this channel's tutorial videos are particularly bad. The Nodachi gameplay makes me cringe.
@@1wayroad935 People on consoles have also experienced performance problems. Perhaps not as prevalent on consoles but it seems to be a bit of a let down when it comes to performance across the board.
Not gonna lie, you lost me as soon as you said I have to know the monsters movesets. Thousands upon thousands of hours in world and I never learned any of the movesets. And if I have to keep track of all the weapon stuff then I'll skip this kind of weapon
I have a serious question. How do you guys rate this game soo highly when there are massive performance issues on every front? Textures that look 10 years old and gameplay mechanics that are soo unbalanced. How much is EA paying you? I'm interested as it would possibly be a new career for me.
@@bigchungus7227 ya so we have a confirmed date for the fix that's better then most developers. And do you know how much work goes into this stuff and how they were probably pushed by ea so you can't expect a game that will be coming out with regular content to be flawless especially with a cross platform system. That being said I can see your point for story driven one player games
Honestly I haven't had problems unless I'm connected with someone overseas. I run the game at 144 fps and sometimes go down to 60 and 30 on those occasions.
Its such a cool idea, but in practice its incredibly unfun. Same with the staff. The cannon doesn't take too long to charge, but its hard to aim the ki base to get the fortified ki base on console and it is super punishing if you miss. Its also so slow for anything other than base fire. I hate setting up a web of ki bases just to have the monster move out of the range of all of them or just leave the area... It just feels kinda bad. Ima do a bit more with the weapon, but so far its just slow and unwieldy.
Use the single crate RPG missile shot when near overheating, you don't get the beam but it does a huge single target shot that depletes heat and recharges your gauge
Setting up a web of ki bases is a trap. Don't bother with that and just use them as you shoot them while in overheat. Imo it's only important to place one at the start of a fight if you go with the laser opening.
Expectations: Explodier Toukiden Rifle
Reality: A literal Phantasy Star heavy weapon
now that you mention it, the new df uq Heavy Cannon are fun, sad it only for that particular uq

You can roll out of those animations as well it's what I do when playing risky and I'm being attacked mid set up.
While being inspired by the Rifle from Toukiden, the Hand Cannon's laser beam is reminiscent of the Wyvernheart of the Heavy Bowgun.
Seeing this weapon makes me want a reboot of Freedom Wars even more
Toukiden's rifle had a giant Lazer special like this one makes me wanna play again.
Why u dont spesk about the EXTREAMLY bad quality of the Video? After watching it 10 timesand tryung for 3 hours still dont know how to do firedamage

I love how he explains the weapon and does a 2 min mighty hunt as part of the intro, like it's nothing
I can't get to the fukkin laser part... b wont shootvthe mortar so i can getcthecred aura and do the laser wtf!!!!!! So frustrating.

incredible guide and damn THE OUTRO
So im really curious, is it worth investing in elemental weakness matching with cannon, or just got for the highest base raw possible?
LOL nice sound effects at the beginning
i didnt notice this before but the spring attack also consumes no charge.
Can you update this guide to show the skill tree please?
The walking death star hahaha
Been waiting for this guide

How quickly do you get to chapter 2? as a heavy bowgun main in MH I’m dying to continue on my journey to turn every monster into a smoking crater.
It's very quick. We got there in like an hour or two with some goofing around in side missions and stuff
Bro, it fires Ultima...
You right. Sick as fuck.

I need that proton cannon
I was looking for this comment

I like it because has that feeling of monster hunter but price is shitty. I just have to wait go on sale
wrong the price is right
@@Tybear-qz4bx Absolutely not
I feel like this will be my main weapon but how long does it take to unlock it?
Wdym you pick your weapon at the start of the game
Simply complete chapter 1.
@Jonathan joestar not true 3 weapons are locked until you reach chapter 2 which does not take very long
Took me 5 hours to unlock just rushing the story.
@@Mrholysymbol oh ok so it's not just like mh where u pick at the start sorry mb
Imma need to save this video when I get further down the weapon tree lol I really wanna get into this weapon but it’s clunk af for me lol
It can be faster, but know that Ki bases can be quick canceled with Karakuri Building! ruclips.net/video/QJDYvH9oSMk/видео.html
I'm angry I was so excited to play today but it comes out 17th for console
could you make a build video for this?
yeah in theory it seems cool, but even in your demonstration verses the porcupine it looks like hell to make it useable

You can Quick cancel your green circles with Karakuri uses! And celestial anchor is beastly with cannon!
I whooped that porcupines ass no problem with the cannon. It's op, you just gotta be good at not getting hit. Souls games prepared me for this. 🤣
Where is the skill tree I can’t find high spirit anywhere
any idea what perks and percentage of perks you'd need to get the max time on your laser?
It should be fast charge skills. It will increase the rate that ki bases recharge your energy. Then firing from the ki base it lasts longer because of it.
So I ran out of them drop pod aura thing and can't get any more is this a bug???
I think so i had it too i was with 4 instead of 5,till someone came with a cannon and absorbed everything then i had it back to the 5 lol
+1 I've got this bug too
IM A FIRING MY LASER!!!!!
how does you Ki thing heal you
Took 4 mins just to get to the point. Killing me.
How unlock the cannon?
At the end of chapter 1/start of chapter 2, its a good bit of time in actually
