Super in-depth and helpful video, I didn't know about this channel b4 wild hearts and now I'm subbed. Only thing I sort of disagree with is the emphasis on how air combat doesn't matter much, personally I feel the opposite. II'm not saying your video is wrong or anything, its super well made and absolutely incredibly helpful, I'm just making a case for why Maul players can absolutely be in the air as much as Clawblade users and still do about the same amount of damage. I'm going to go in depth so read below for a BIG wall of text: -The spinning attack 2 combo in the air reaches so much farther than it should, basically giving you a mid-range option at all times. -Not only that, but because the player regains a bit of stamina during the recovery frames of their ground animations, they can actually do the attack 2 extension combo into attack 1 spinning finisher, extend at the flash, and then jump right back into another attack 2 extension to repeat this leapfrog salvo of attacks without running out of stamina really...ever (only do 1 spin in air though). -The spinning Attack 2 combo also makes it very easy to target specific body parts, even if the damage isn't incredibly high. For example, it makes breaking the arms on the Lavaback while its enraged a lot more doable. -Maul users are going to be relying on the Spring Karakuri a lot, so might as well make use of all the jumping around, right? -Plus, the sheer amount of attacks that have passed through me while I'm spinning mid air or have gone just under me is absurd. AND, if you're high enough in the air while spinning, you can actually wait til the end of an attack 2 spin and then build the Glider Karakuri mid-air for a quick escape if the Kemono was about to interrupt you. Basically I just think the air combat with the Maul is so incredibly useful and a core part of the kit, so I'm hoping players aren't spending all their time on the ground doing the same Attack 1 Extension combo over and over again until they fall asleep.
Okay, I'm glad this video was made. I was on the fence about getting Wild Hearts since the Maul looked so simple but those alternate combos look so radical. I may not care what the meta combo is, I just want to mix it up and then use the meta for a punish on a knocked over kimono
Also while in the air with the extended maul you can do the spinning hold move when it flashes instead of flipping again and u will beyblade in the air and land with a crater atk Fucking loving the hammer in this game as a hammer main from world they did it justice!
I've honestly been doing a mixed aerial/grounded playstyle and found a ton of success with it. Using the aerial moves lends well to catching kemono that move away from you and combining with the aerial attack one into ground combo keeps up pressure. It's so shocking to me the amount of times I've landed aerial hits on kemono that are so far away from my character. Obviously, it's risky since stamina management is a lot tougher, but I've notice that the long combo time of the ground combo leads well to stamina recovery. Love seeing the Wild Hearts content ❤
The maul is nice and simple with some fun timing skill. I really kinda want them to give the wagasa a bigger parry timing and maybe nerf the damage slightly? It feels just a little too hard to pull off. But I guess the reward is worth it.
You might already know this but I just learned you don’t actually have to party with the wagasa. Just press parry and the square or whatever that would translate to for you, and it builds faster than regular attacks by a lot. That and you can jump from crates and dive down and if all the attacks hit you get the first bar full. It was my main but I wanna be a hammer bro now
Does anybody know the monetization plan for this game? I’m avoiding it until I know that it won’t be grossly monetized. Since it’s ea though, that might be a long time.

Wildhearts be amazing and not often is a 100$ title worth the price, especially one financed by E.a. Didn't even know about skill transference on weapon upgrades till watching you. REMEMBER that all the weapons have additional attack combos/moves launch off of all basic kakuri it seems.
I still be finding new combo's that the game doesn't really show you. Katanna off of the spike if can land is a very devastating attack to topside of monster while being "safe"
it’s interesting that the way the damage types seem to work are almost EXACTLY the same as a proposed idea video that you [cotton] made ages ago talking about how in MH some blunt weapons had sharp bits yet they always did blunt dmg, and vice versa. (and then there is the maybe-kinda-doesn’t-make-sense as a different dmg type with “shot” dmg. does piercing ammo do some kind of pierce or thrust dmg? nah. shot dmg. normal ammo and spread? also shot.). seriously, it’s like the devs saw your vid and went, “you know, that’s not a bad idea.” if it LOOK sharp, it should act sharp, etc. etc. weapon type be damned. edit: as gunner in MH, i hope post release they give us a more traditional gun weapon, like a flintlock rifle or something. it would fit with the time period aesthetic they’re going for, and it’s always nice to have more ranged options. the bow and cannon look cool, but it does seem odd that there’s no in-between….
Once I got to that fire monkey 😱 that was extremely rough, it attacks way too fast & I attack way too slow. I barely won with no lives or potions remaining…
Everyone is going to opt for the Karakuri staff over the GS unless the damage on the GS is buffed. The Staff does INSANE damage when it turns into a GS.
im not saying its practical and i havent prefected it but i manage to unlimited power spin and rocked out a in one combo over 54k cuz i didnt realize what had just happened you could easily kill all on map with 1 attack XD glitch by random so mainly a joke unless someone learns how i got unlimited stam XP cuz i sure as hell dont have a clue
Yeah I love the game so far but optimisation is awful. With graphics like that, it can’t even hit stable 60fps at 1080p on a series x or stable 30fps at 4k
From what I've seen, yes the umbrella is as defensive as you'll get That or the cannon that's "defensive" by just being further away than other weapons. I've not seen anything with a shield yet and to my knowledge only the umbrella has a counter
Im at the point in the trial where I have beaten king tusk, but it says I need the full game to enter the village. I already have the game pre-ordered though, so does the trial just not let us into the village or is it an issue on my end?
Skip this game. The end game is ungodly bad. I did over 159k damage for the first kemono out of the 4 end game. Lost due to time. I had to go back and it watch the recorded video just to count my damage I was so pissed. Skip the game go to monster hunter It's 10 times better

I think this was the only move he missed, one of my favs actually, and you can even combo into it from the infinite aerial frontflip at any point
