Love that you don't get tired of talking about the Beatles --- I don't get tired of listening. My first album was "help" which my parents bought me for my 9th birthday. They then bought me Herb Alperts and the Tijuana Brass Greatest Hits. I had a friend with older brothers and one of them gave me a copy of Led Zeppelins first album. My first album prchase was also "Let It Be" and then I bought McCartneys first solo. My daughter (she is 23 and now is collecting Beatles Vinyl and has just about all of Elton's albums) just spent a few hours walking around Beverly Hills and Hollywood and of course visited the Beatles star on the walk of fame.

What a blessing to have a daughter, who loves great music! I loved hearing your story. Thanks for sharing. I love hearing stuff from other people. It’s so interesting how we all came to music in different but very similar ways. Thank you for watching!

Only a true lover re-uploads two chunks of a single video. This is great.

Thanks for noticing! I receive some comments that my videos are too long! I decided to try putting out some short clips. But you’re correct; I’m a true lover! I’m also doing some reuploads to upgrade some older episodes in HD. I shot some beautiful footage at a Ringo concert that deserves an HD upgrade!

I feel the same way about John. He was such a huge influence on my life when I was coming of age. I think you’ll appreciate this episode: The Day John Lennon Died

@OnlyKidWithCamera it's just such a horrible shame. I was recently with my uncle ( who looks just like John in his white album picture) and asked him what it was like on December 8th, 1980. He said a lot of his friends were crying and some student trying to be edgy said it wasn't a big deal and the teacher responded "you don't know how much this man meant to a lot of people ".
It's kinda hard for me cause john is my hero, but I like to think that he's still with us. Like George said, his human form isn't with us but spiritual he still is.

Your thumbnail reminds me of a trip to London in 1983. I made a pilgrimage to Abbey Road and when I arrived there I noticed that people were at the front door getting inside. There happened to be a show called "The Beatles at Abbey Road". I think it was one of the first times they organized those public events. So I thought why not buy a ticket (straight away at the door - remember those good old days?) and soon I found myself sitting in Studio 2 waiting for the show to begin!

I’ve heard about those shows; how cool you got to see that! When I was there, I just took a thing called “Beatles walking tour”. It was fun, but I would’ve rather done it on my own. Didn’t have enough time! Thanks for watching!

For a Jr. High art class project, my brother shot and edited a Super 8 film, perfectly timed to Abbey Road medley. I was the star actor (6th grade). I remember it as a masterpiece, but I can't seem to motivate him to dig it up and digitize it with music (and not simo-playing the LP). White Album is burned into my consciousness. I'd lay on the basement couch and listen to it every night after school. I had every American released LP of theirs, but a renter decided he wanted them, after going through my storage. I still have a few 45's -- :You Know My Name...Look Up the Number."
