For that "image of God", accused and judge in the panopticum, there is also a choir dramatically singing "gloria" in a place that sometimes grows as a very modern, industrialized, without saints or idols, cathedral. The imaginery related to the Lie and Black Swan choreos add one more sense of closure to the inner maze. I looove your video, thank you very much, thank you for the screenshots and links in the exact moment. I was overwhelmed when the video came out, so many layers, such a great start! Yes, I thought of the choreography when they surround him in a circle as a metaphor for Panopticon but the set resembles a cupola like in Pantheon, a hall with a hole on the top so that you can look up to the sky while praying. My mind wasn't so acute enough to deduce the set is Panopticon too, thus couldn't realize Jimin is the supervising center and you know, which makes the symbolism hella deep and strong. Thank you so much for enlightening me, though I'm still looking for someone who deciphers the choreography. Stanning BTS helps me practice thinking in symbolism, though I haven't hit where I should yet lol =))))

Thanks! I noticed a few other things. Curious if you or others have thoughts or noticed. 1-The dancers are in deep green. You can see the green in the beginning scene the most. 2-Before Jimin was shirtless he was wearing a shirt that had side cutouts and there was a flash of his Nevermind tattoo. 3- The Poem- where it says “I still don’t know- Am I a falcon, a storm, or a great song?” To me this ties into the last graphic after the song ends. The 3 circles overlapping each other like a Venn Diagram with Set Me Free Pt 2 across the circles. I am thinking one of the circles represents “the storm” and Set Me Free Pt 2 is the fight/storm with the shadow. The other two circles would be “the falcon” when Jimin is soaring and the other is “a great song.” Maybe the Storm would be the middle circle because no matter where you are in life you are fighting your shadow self? 5-I was wondering when Jimin sings with the very obvious autotune -could it be the shadow part of himself? 6- Speaking of autotune. The very last part, when Jimin is lifted up the “set me free” lyric sounds like he is trapped inside a tin house or in the middle of a long corridor. Not sure how to describe but it’s different.
I agree that the autotune, the distortion of his voice at the beginning, sounds like he's trapped in something. His voice becomes clearer and less distorted at the end.

BTS has used biblical references and terms multiple times, the MV and his concept have biblical refrences which I find interesting as a fan with faith. Even the idea of light in the darkness is such a common message in the Bible. In my class, we learned about the map of the soul, it comes from the Bible but it is worded differently for those who are not sure of their faith or don't believe at all. Self = God (made in God's image). Conscious = soul and unconscious = spirit. Darkness = Devil/Evil and Light = Godliness or Jesus and angels (BS&T literally showed that with the dark and light statues/wings). Also the MV for ON had a scene that mirrors Noah's Ark with the large boat etc. I just wanted to share this observation for ARMYs that have faith because I think they would appreciate it. I am not trying to explain what Jimin was going for in his MV at all. Just random observation.

There is so much symbolism and philosophy in their songs and the over-arching themes that tie together each album.
