Great video and beautiful chickens! The views! I really like the editing, sense of humor and quality of this movie. I can't wait for the next episode of this adventure.
Nice one mate. I know and appreciate how much work and time you have to put to film and ending something like this. Can't wait for the second part. Ride safe, regards from Croatia.
Damn this was impressive as always Arvids. Absolutely love your storytelling style and impressive footage. 🙏🏻 you should adjust your duckin of the music, it is a little bit to fast and harsh compared to the VoiceOver and nice smooth speed of the story and footage. 🙌🏻 Damn this route is high up on my to do list for the upcoming years. Holy crap I miss the alps! Keep up the great work mate. This is absolutely highest level of motorcycle roadtrips and storytelling. 🎥
Thanks man! Make sure to do the Alps before you do other mountains for a greater effect. But then again you’re already spoiled by Norway! I’ll talk with my ducks about the chicken issue, it’s their 1st time using Resolve’s automatic 🦆
My friend, awesome. As someone who travels solo a lot I was truly inspired with your video. The last two summers I’ve done 5 weeks travel Europe. I’d love to know your route and the off-road bits that I’d avoid given I do mine on a Ducati Diavel, which is hardly a touring bike but you know that phrase, Mad Englishmen…. Awesome video.
Thanks! We did the TET route which switches between off-road parts and tarmac quite often, so I’d say it’s only doable on some sort of gravel friendly bike.
Amazing quality video!! Great effort overall and amating narration and amazing text edits. Maybe I used amazing more, let me find another word - Fabulous haha 🤩
Amazing production level! Also you are probably among the very few people who actually do ADV with adv bikes. I ve only used mine on the road. I would like to try some gravel roads one day, but im afraid to drop the bike.
Dropping the bike is inevitable. As soon as you come to terms with it (the 1st time might hurt though), you’re never going back. Road biking is so limiting and I’d say even boring!
@@EaglewoodADV you're right, but I have a guzzi v85, and I would be very very very sad to drop and damage a bike like that. If I had a tenerè I would be less worried, but with a guzzi it's different. You buy because of the look and feel. However, I believe that i could do some easy gravel roads without worrying too much about damaging it.
@ccclll987 then it’s a street bike. An adv bike by definition has to be dropable. Even just riding on gravel you’ll get chips on paint, exhaust etc. from flying rocks and there goes your precious design piece. I’d say get a dedicated bike that you’ll not be afraid to drop. That’s the only way to enjoy beyond tarmac. Even if you don’t drop the stress will ruin it.
@@EaglewoodADV that's the point, the bike itself would be able to handle offroad, but because I dont want to damage it, i d rather not use it offroad. On YT there is a video of a guy that goes offroad with it and also goes quite fast. In any case, for the future the best solution would be to do what you suggest, maybe get a second, smaller bike to just do offroad. My guzzi has a heavy retro styled air cooled 850cc engine and the bike weights about 230kg. if I really wanted to do offroad it would probably be better to buy something smaller and with a more modern engine. Guzzi are technically capable of going offroad, but even the guys making them hope you dont actually take them offroad XD
Really beautiful use of the drone shots in the beginning, the Dolomites are pretty damn awesome, I did slightly dizzy from the 360 camera though 🤣 Nicely done, damn a lot of those roads would have been epic if not for all that tarmac, damn the taxes that paid for it 😅 Looking forward to the next one. Oh and by the way, that scooter, WOW 😝
If you want you can ride in Himalayas of India, Nepal and Bhutan. Bike rental is also pretty cheap. Amazing video and an amazing place, and the background music makes it even more better. A lot to learn about video editing 😀
Himalayas are on the list already for some time. Before they even became a popular motorcycling destination (I have trekked in Nepal several times). I’m kinda leaving them for later, because after riding there I might loose interest riding anywhere else.
Arvids, I love this so much. No idea why I didn't find your channel sooner. Absolutely stunning cinematography. I particularly love how intentional your drone shots are, none of that "just have it follow you around" overused bs. May I please be forgiven for asking a nasty question: are you using commercially available luts or something custom?
Thank you for the kind words! Warms my heart each time people notice the filmmaking intentions. I use camera-specific color transforms (in Resolve) to get from log to rec709 and then add a bit of built-in Kodak 2382 at something like 30% But still need to do some custom work, not only to fix exposures, but because all these cameras have so different colors, even two different model GoPros have different colors. I'm looking forward to the day when I'll be able to have all my cameras shoot in usable log.
Amazing. Thank you very much for that detailed reply. The hard work really shows. This was a fantastic video content-wise too by the way. Really enjoyed it. Kudos all around!
Thanks! I use way to many cameras, they throw the whole ultralight travel discussion out of the window haha. But to answer your question - in order of appearance: DJI Mini 4 Pro, Sony A7sIII, GoPro 9, GoPro 11, Insta 360 X3.
Loved every single bits of this video! the shots, the VO, the music and the views! Wow that camera clipped on your chest makes me feel uncomfortable watching this!
We rode TET and one should only download the latest GPX from their website as there are frequent updates due to road closures and restrictions. Please do so too.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
I have the Tenere, so obviously no issues there. My friend is riding the 890r. As far as I know he hasn’t had any issues, but then again his bike has a much less mileage than mine. It’s brand new.
@elionh4532 not sure I understand the question. You mean sitting in the hammock? Sure, you can do that, but for a comunal sit together with mates chairs are better.
Yup, me too and I said in the video, I just had to. You know - new gadgets make you play with them too much sometimes. Will dial it back in the future for sure :)
The video’s great but the voiceover sounds like you were doing it as a punishment. Show some enthusiasm, enjoyment. I swear I got sleepy 5 minutes in. Other than that, It’s a nice watch 😊
Superior quality motorcycling adventure video!

Great story and visuals! 👊🏻👍🏻🙌🏻
Loving this video. Me and my brother are hoping to do this in 2025. Really well filmed, great editing and I love the commentary ❤
Ultra spectacular material guys. Just amazing views , vistas and everything! keep it up.

Dude, all I can say - you should only use unleaded in a bike ☝️
What app do you use for route animation on the map?
Just Keynote. I believe @nomadsweden has a video about how to do it.
How long have you owned the 890, any reliability issues?
I have the Tenere, so obviously no issues there. My friend is riding the 890r. As far as I know he hasn’t had any issues, but then again his bike has a much less mileage than mine. It’s brand new.
How important is bringing an ultralight camping chair vs. having less stuff to manage every day?
Camping chair is a lifechanger. Once you sit down, you’re never gonna stand! ✊
@ whats the difference from going in the hammock to lay vs. sitting outside?
@elionh4532 not sure I understand the question. You mean sitting in the hammock? Sure, you can do that, but for a comunal sit together with mates chairs are better.
@ since i mostly ride alone im trying to figure out if i need it or not. Thanks
@ I’d say just try it. RUclips won’t answer that question for you.
