Really appreciate this brother, if you don't mind me asking just one question... do they tighten to a certain point, or is there a torque value/specific tightness according to how far the bushing compresses after making complete contact in their respective positions? I guess what I'm asking in simple terms is, is it possible to over tightened them and crush the bushings? If so what advice would you give as a good rule of thumb for tightening them? Thank you in advance. May humanity protect you for your contributions in a world where we are more and more becoming our own last line of defense.
@@OGRH Not sure if you know what torque to yield is, but generally I final tighten them by hand To get the feel of how tight it is, it’s a learned skill 👴. You could also Google it to see if someone has the specs on bolt torque values.
@ that sounds good! I appreciate the reply! I did the same thing with the bushings on my shocks recently... so I do understand.... The Loctite is doing the work. Duly noted.
@@SKBodytechnics thanks again, brother! I cannot express how much it means to me that you posted this for the world! Everything seems to be a rip off these days. 🙏
@@SKBodytechnicsBy the way I did look up torque to yield and the "stretch" involved. Just an update, I got er done and it was surprisingly easy. I had expected since FoMoCo dealerships would have told me that I needed the whole electronic steering rack replaced, that this job would be a real pain into the ass... I almost couldn't believe how easy it was. Maybe it was relative to my expectations, but regardless, any mechanically inclined individual thinking of passing on this one would be doing their wallets a great disservice. Thanks again! Yours is the only video on YT that addresses this with the unit still installed on the vehicle! 🙏
You sir, are a national treasure!!!
You've got a sub from me! Just the fact that you took time to share this with others is a testament to how unselfish you are!!!
@@OGRH Thank you sir. Happy Trails!
Awesome
