I was never really a broccoli fan until I started air frying it and I love the crispy way it turns out,I'm a big fan of air fried sprouts, halved and seasoned with onion salt,so tasty,I tried frozen veg but it seamed as if it was steamed and fried and it didn't taste the same as fresh veg so I never bothered using it again, another good one Kerry Xx
Hi Kerry, I'm wondering if it would be better cooking for a few minutes without oil or seasoning. Then empty the pan of water, add oil and seasoning and continue cooking.
I have a very basic non digital air fryer but it works for me. I love your videos and hope some day you will do a cookbook. Thank you so much for sharing.
Evening Kerry, Oh, broccoli & corn are Harrisons favourite, I don't know why I've never thought of doing this as I used to "fry" broccoli with garlic quite a lot. I've never done it yet in the A/F. I am definitely going to try this, or should I say, I will get Harrison to try it. I think I will use fresh broccoli rather than frozen to save having the excess liquid. Thank you for trying it for us. Have a lovely evening xxxx Jac 💚♥️
I do think the frozen veg are at the moment a better option than the fresh, been really unhappy with fresh veg at the mo, the only good veg has been in marks and Spencer’s, but I only go there once a week. I wrap my frozen veg in some foil by screwing the top of the foil so moisture still gets out. That is nice , it’s not roasted of course,, if you like roasted maybe no good. I liked the corsori better in looks., forgot to say you could pop holes in the bottom of the foil to allow the water to escape. As well. Thinking about it, I have just done fresh broc, but frozen in pressure cooker.
Hi Kerry. I must tell you that ..as you suggested..I removed basket from my Corsori to cook roast veg...potatoes..parsnips.. carrots...Suz sez best roasted potatoes I've ever made!!! Thank you !!! Xxxxxxxx
Hi Kerry I've been doing my veg in micro even faster than airfryer and use the water towards making gravy delish try anything to save a bit on them there energy bills good one Kerry .Hugs from Shropshire flipping cold here😊
I've always used the microwave to reheat food, but never thought to use it to cook veg. Do you stick say frozen peas into a bowl of hot water, how many mins do you cook it for? I'm intrigued Anna and will def give it a go😀👍💕sooo cold here too🥶🥶
Well I've never roasted Broccoli I'll have to try doing that in my oven and see how it goes, then If I invest and get an Air Fryer I shall feel all modern lol 😂
Me too Sandra😀👍💕 next time, will keep a better eye on it and move them about more frequently, hopefully lessen those black bits lol. Love roasting veg and thought it worth a try
Hi Kerry, i'm not a fan of frozen veg and i'm not really keen on broccoli either. I don't mind the stalks but don't like the flower part. I did think about trying the tenderstems variety.
Hi Kerry, never tried roasting frozen veg but am going to give it a go. I like that they were a bit crunchy. I think if you do them to mush, all the goodness has gone out of them. The water could be used for the gravy😋😋 See you on the next one, byee 👋Jen 💕😘xx
Hi Kerry, I never thought of roasting veg like broccoli in them, I’ve done potatoes 🥔 and parsnips and carrots 🥕 in them , so might try the broccoli 🥦, thank you for a lovely vlog . From Linda C ❤😊
Hi Kerry... What is it with brocoli.... My body hates it... 😮😮😮😮So I now don't eat it... But I much prefer frozen spinach these days.... ❤❤❤ This looks intriguing not sure it's for me though kerry 😮😮😮 I'd be concerned about the steam etc in my AF... Not least if I ate all that brocoli I'd have to go for a very long walk!!!!! Have to say I was crindging at the taste test 😂😂😂😂
Personally i think the Ninja seems to be more powerful and needs a lower heat in most things, Maybe it’s just mine as its and old version. Thank you for comparing the Cosori and Ninja together. Does the Cosori have an element in the bottom as well as the top? I may have to invest in a new one. Thanks for another brilliant vlog 🤗🏴
Hi Pat, yes the cosori dual blaze has an element in the bottom as well as top, plus there is a fan in the top so majority heat comes from there, but the bottom element makes a real difference with food that you cook with crisper plate out, toad in the hole, lasagna, cottage pie, traybake, omelette/frittata etc plus I can do a full English (or scottish🏴💕) and even fry the eggs in a corner at the end for 4 people - food does have to be moved on top of each other when cooked to allow room for eggs but it works as I turn it off after 1 min from adding the egg and close the drawer, the egg carries on cooking in the residual heat - perfect fried egg😋
Frozen broccoli has never been a success with me cooking in the conventional way in a saucepan, I end up with just storks and almost no heads and I am not boiling them to death, is I just thought I wouldn't bother with frozen broccoli again and Ia adore broccoli! but now I had not thought to air fry sooooo going to give that a go, lets hope Kerry fingers crossed!🤞
@@budgetcookinguk Yes I shall use your experience to try to get good results, its all trial and error and that is how we learn, no pain no gain! Thank you Kerry, so enjoy your videos and two friends are now hooked on them! keep it up. Ray.
Hey Kerry. I have the 11 in 1 machine. If you place your vegetables in the pot and cover with water then Slide the lever to the middle setting. Turn it to Steam Air fry and set for 9 minutes This is enough to steam your vegetables. I like it for leafy less dense vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower. It works for all vegetables though. 😀@@budgetcookinguk
They looked different but tasty?Kerry leave the drawers slightly ajar to let the steam out when you've finished cooking? they wasn't burnt?they was rustic😂from BIGMICK IN HULL
Hey Kerry - Be careful the edges burn really easily, as I found out. I guess experiment at 180 for 18 minutes, but keeping an eye on them The Airfryer has heat spots, as in it dosnt cook 100% equally If you want to make it scientific, cut out some baking paper and place it in an empty clean drawer to see where seems hottest
@@budgetcookinguk Good Point, maybe weigh it down. I guess it's just to see the heat spots. Dont ask me how I did with the sweet Potato chips the first time I tried 😀

I like to use the steam airfry setting for frozen veg. Especially the leafy ones. Stops it charring x
What machine is that on Beth? not sure I have steam bake, def have steam airfry which I've only used with cooking meat 😋😋

Very rustic in some cases Mick😅👍💕 but tasty, not sure if it's a winner due to the overly rustic bits but worth a try
We do t like soggy veggies and these soggy
