I came up with the idea for this video two years ago and I've always known this day would come. I'm super glad on how it turned out and I hope you'll feel the same.
I broke some barriers with this one, especially cause this was my first time programming drums. I recently learned it and saw the opportunity to finally make this video happen. I've never played real drums, so I'm not sure I did an AMAZING job on them, but again, I'm really proud on how they turned out.
This vídeo is my own interpretation of how metal guitars evolved and changed as a genre. I composed the songs in this video based on some of my influences in metal music as a whole, so any similarities between any of the songs you’ll listen to in this video, and already existing songs from influential bands are NOT mere coincidence! They’re TOTTALY on purpose!

The riffs you presented in metal from the 70's are totally reminiscent Black Sabbath \m/
Yeah also the 2nd and 3rd riff of that period are kind of a gap bridging between Sabbath and early Judas Priest.
1970 for Heavy Metal Classic
1980 for Glam Metal, Power Metal, NWOBHM, Speed Metal, and Thrash Metal
1990 for Extreme Metal, Black Metal, and Death Metal, and Symphonic Metal
2000 for Melodic Death Metal, Metalcore, and many more of Modern Heavy Metal

The 1980s also did have some extreme/death/black metal stuff at the later end, and the 90s were also particularly known for alternative and nu metal. And where is the doom??

The 70s part you did reminded me a lot of black sabbath.
And then the slower riffs from the 90s was back to the 70s. That's what I remember in the early 90s. I was like, what are they doing? They're going all simplistic again.

Dissection, Sabbath, Motörhead, Kiss, Maiden/Priest, Kreator/Destruction, Death, Emperor/Immortal, Suffocation/SOAD

I think I've saw very few people here with the same idea as this. Totally like the concept behind it, though the last riff is too much reminiscing of Toxicity to be generic as I think it was your goal for these riff to sound.

I definitely lean towards 90s era of metal as I find that to be a pretty versatile decade for metal but I love all eras tbh.

For a modern take on 70s style heavy metal like Black Sabbath I recommend checking out some modern Doom bands like Electric Wizard, Sleep, Earthless, Witch, etc... I consider it the perfect music for any ageing metal head with discerning taste. It captures the original heavy metal spirit of drugs, sex and satan without the pretentiousness or macho dick measuring of some modern metal.
Though, as a pretentious man with a large penis, I enjoy the latter as well.

I always felt that Judas Priest did better Heavy Metal of all the British Bands, especially better than Black Sabbath even though they're a year apart.

OK. I could definitely hear Black Sabbath in your 70s, and Iron Maiden in your 80s, but (being a guy who first picked up a guitar and went through HS in the 90s), I'm a little surprised I didn't hear anything that resembled Nu Metal/Rap Metal (Korn, Snot, Coal Chamber, Slipknot, etc).
