    My husband likes to help in the design process of quilting but doesn’t want to sew anything either. I should show him this video. He just might want to try painting one. Thanks for the idea and great job on the barn quilt.

    Fun idea, I'll try this, maybe even weather proof it to hang on the side garage. Thank y'all - and it was a treat to see happy Milo. We have a Boston, and I made a silhouette of her that I applique as my label in the lower back corner of my quilts. Feel better Michelle!

    This was cool. I had never heard of a barn quilt. Takes some patience doing all that taping, but it seems to be key to getting those lovely crisp edges! Thanks, Wes, I might have a go at this👍😊

    I have never seen it done this way. I like that you start by covering everything with the tape first and draw the design on the tape. I will definitely be trying it your way. Thanks for the ideas. I watched another video where she went around the edges with a slightly dry brush before filling in. It seems to make for very crisp lines.

    Try using yellow frog tape. It's made to use on freshly painted surfaces and it's easier to see through.

    Awesome! Love your videos! Two questions: What do you use to seal the paint for indoor/outdoor use? What material do you use for outdoor barn quilts?

      I just used a spray varnish/sealer from Ace. I use the same stuff indoor and outdoor.

    Didn't you say you got the barn quilt wood shape already to paint from Home Depot? What is the proper name for that product? I asked at our local and thy could not find it even via their internet store.

      It was ready to go and it was from Walmart.

      I don’t know what they’re called but they are back in the craft section where the little canvas squares and all that are located.
