Thaaaaank youuuuuuuuuuuuu. My favorite PLL is the Jb perm and my least favorite is the Gd perm (even though I hate all G perms). edit: THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THE Ga PERM IN THE VIDEO (I like it now)
For so long I have completely avoided g perms and settled on only knowing the rest of pll. I was literally planning on starting to learn them today and found this video.
I'm learning G perms now (because I keep having them), I chose Gd as my first G perm because the start of the alg looked easy and it was actually easier than I expected and really fun
It’s preference, while the RUD is really good with the proper fingertricks, but RUUw is also good with the proper fingertricks again. Top cubers use both algs including feliks and probably a few others.
These were the last algs that I learned, because I legit thought it was difficult, but at the same time, one of the most easiest one to learn (memorized), but still one of my least efficient algs to execute (along with Nb, E, and maybe V)
Funny that my favourite to execute G-perm is your least favourite G-perm,while your favourite G-perm is my least favourite G-perm.Maybe it's cause we use different algs, mine goes like this Gb-perm Hold the headlights to the left, and do R' U' R U D' R2 U R' U R U' R U' R2 D Do the U and the D' at the start at the same time. While you need some good finger tricks to do this efficiently,it flows smoothly and it's fast if you practice it enough. It's basically the Gd-perm from behind.
Did you know that there are two Z Perms? Both algorithms are the technically same, but they are a little different. The first Z Permutation is where you swap the front edge with the *right* edge (ex. yellow center top; red center front; green center right) and the left edge with the back edge (ex. yellow top blue center left orange center back). The algorithm for that is M' U' M2 U' M2 U' M' U2 M2 U. The second Z Permutation is the opposite where you swap the front edge with the *left* edge (ex. yellow center top; red center front; blue center left). Basically this is the first Z Permutation but the front edge swapping with the left edge instead of the right edge. The algorithm for this is M' U M2 U M2 U M' U2 M2 U'.
how i remember them is different (same with labels) i point the Corner-Corner pair(Headlights) towards myself and look the the Corner-Edge pair(Bar) Left = Gc (G1) Left-Back = Gb (G2) Right-Back = Gd (G3) Right = Ga (G4) for G1/G4 move the Bar to the back and do a J-Perm and that side (i use Jb and a reflected version) then to a Z-Perm going the other direction for G2/G3 move the Bar to the side (ex: Right-Back -> Right) do the same J-Perm trick and finally an H-Perm
Idk why, but everytime i got a G perm, no Matter Which G Perm It Is, Start By Doing an H Perm. After Than You Are Left With Either Ja Or Jb, Or Ra Or Rb Perm. and i know all of those. its not very fast, but its better than not knowing what to do.
im glad i got g perms out of the way before finishing learning pll a couple of years ago i used to get those algs all the time when doing hand scrambles
I learned to recognize G-perms by looking at "block" and sticker color next to it. So I had 4 cases: Block on left + opposite color Block on left + adjacent color Block on right + opposite color Block on right + adjacent color
I didn’t realize people actually did g perms with wide moves and cube rotations that really sucks. Glad all the algs are really easy and similar now allowed me to learn them in two days
If you come across any G-perm, pay close attention to the headlights and the blocks (as they tell a very big difference on all 4, and just ignore the arrows), match the blocks in their respective color scheme and execute the algorithm. Like for instance the Ga perm has 2 blocks on the left side if your headlights is just behind. I execute the algorithm with the blocks in front of me matching in their color scheme and headlights to the left and then i ''R2 U (R' U R' U') (R U' R2) D U' (R' U R D') [U]'' my way into solving it. Gb-perm has headlights on the back and 2 blocks in front and then algorithm away and so on.. Just be careful you don't confuse your G perms with R perms. xD
a common problem in my head is that i am a sucker for R and U moves, seeing you do the normal g perms at the beginning makes me think they aren't bad but idk what i might be missing out on
To avoid the weird F’ stuff at the start of Gb I just align it with the headlights on the left and do R’ push dw’ with my left hand and do F with my right hand. This sets me up for regripless finger tricks other than a slight movement of my left thumb during the R2 right after the F.
There are 11-move Algorithms. Ga: Fw2 M2 U R2 U' R2 D R2 D' Rw2 Fw2 F2 M2 D R2 D' R2 U R2 U' Rw2 F2 R2 S2 Uw R2 D' R2 U R2 U' Rw2 F2 Gb: Fw2 Rw2 D R2 D' R2 U R2 U' M2 Fw2 F2 Rw2 U R2 U' R2 D R2 D' M2 F2 F2 Rw2 U R2 U' R2 D R2 Uw' S2 R2 Gc: F2 M2 D' Rw2 U Rw2 U' Rw2 D R2 F2 B2 M2 D' R2 D R2 U' R2 U Rw2 B2 B2 M2 D' R2 D R2 U' R2 U L2 F2 R2 S2 Uw' R2 D R2 U' R2 U L2 F2 R2 S2 Uw' R2 D R2 U' R2 U Rw2 B2 L2 S2 Uw' L2 D L2 U' L2 U Lw2 F2 Rw2 S2 Dw' Rw2 D Rw2 D' Rw2 U R2 F2 Gd: F2 R2 D' Rw2 U Rw2 U' Rw2 D M2 F2 B2 Rw2 U' R2 U R2 D' R2 D M2 B2 Fw2 L2 U' R2 U R2 D' R2 D M2 B2 B2 Rw2 U' R2 U R2 D' R2 Uw S2 R2 F2 Lw2 U' L2 U L2 D' L2 Uw S2 L2 F2 R2 U' Rw2 D Rw2 D' Rw2 Dw S2 Rw2 _(X-posted to most reply sections under this video)_
I wish they renamed the G perms so that the Ga and Gc are a different name than the Gb and Gd so that it makes more sense to new cubes. After I have already learned them it doesn’t matter, but hope this helps.
7:50 "The execution of the Gd perm isnt easy, but it isnt difficult either"
Illusion 100
I Guess your comment wasn’t easy to write ,but wasn’t too hard
Lol
I use different algs
@@navrajdhillon2419 I also use different algs which does not have wide layer turns.
gb perm on this list is the most akward for me on this list. Gd is dang easy..
Another reason G perms suck is because it feels like it's the only PLL I ever get
yes like seriously I got Ga twice in my two solves and then got a Gb after that
And on 4x4 once I got at least ten solves in a row with OLL parity. It was awful. One of them was a PB, though :)
I'm fairly certain that G-perms are the most common PLL to get (~1/3 chance). Stuff like H- and Z-perm are like a 5% chance.
Chase Szafnicki I think the n perms are the rarest PLL

To avoid the weird F’ stuff at the start of Gb I just align it with the headlights on the left and do R’ push dw’ with my left hand and do F with my right hand. This sets me up for regripless finger tricks other than a slight movement of my left thumb during the R2 right after the F.

Before learning g perm I thought it is pretty hard when I saw your your video all my thoughts about g perm were changed

''Most people are afraid of G perms''
Me: Has the R perms and the G perms to learn
Also me: *Oh No*
R perm is easy
ik but they hard in my opinion
@@ua-perm5167 I also have my N-perms. Hopefully you've learned them by now.
I wish they renamed the G perms so that the Ga and Gc are a different name than the Gb and Gd so that it makes more sense to new cubes. After I have already learned them it doesn’t matter, but hope this helps.
Bro thanks a lot easy g perm algorithms than the usual once found it easy to learn and execute.
Helped me so much thanks I left n perm as the last one to learn so I won't learn g perm last lol thanks rly good tutorial and algs lol
For G A perm there is a better alg hold with headlights at the back and RUR'F'RUR'U'R'FRU'R'FR2U'R'U'RUR'F'
Finally learned all the plls
Brody ur the best ! ❤️ My fav PLL is U Perm whereas my worst were G Perm until this tutorial was released ❤️❤️👌🏻✌🏻️🙏🏻
I hate Ua Perm cause i cant execute it fast enough
Thank you I have been trying to learn g perks for over a year 😩
Ga 2:25
Gb 4:06
Gc 5:40
Gd 7:09
After a year of cubing i finally learned the g perms
And it made my times better B)
I feel like finger drags are slow nd inconvenient when compared to the U push with your left finger, I use that and I think you should too.
Wdym finger drags are fast af
These are great algs!! Thanks for sharing and making it so clear!!
Video: *exists*
V perm: *cries in a dark corner*
My favorite PLL is T and Y perm, least favorite is the Na/Nb perm
