Hi Brody! My friend just sent me link to your video. It's sooo cool to see and hear so many comlements about such old video. Yeah my technic isn't perfect, I'd say it's rather lame. Anyway I really appreciate it Bro! When I recorded it I was nearly 16y old. Unfortunatelly now I'm cubing very rarely. Best wishes to you and all your subscribers! Cheers!
What do you think of the original video, and what do you think of my modern version? Should I make a full video explanation of my solve? Also, I want to emphasize that any criticism I make in this video could only have been made with 10 years of experience and hindsight that Pitas96 didn't have when making his original video. He still deserves a ton of respect for making such an amazing video so long ago!
I wonder how I’ve never seen this video before! I can see how this video would have been revolutionary back in 2012, but I think it was more interesting to see how many new techniques we have found since then! Cubing has evolved so much since then; I can’t wait to see how much cubing evolves in the next few years! It also makes me feel very old to think that 2012 was 10 years ago!!
I completely agree with your point that a certain time back then was a whole lot more impressive than it is now. Especially the sub 10 barrier. Even today, I think sub-10 is like the holy grail of speedcubing. So many cubers dream of reaching sub-10. And unless a new, clearly-superior and dominant method of solving a 3x3 comes into play and puts CFOP in the grave, I think sub-10 will ALWAYS be an impressive milestone.
this was pretty much one of the first videos i ever watched and i've watched it more than once. Watched it again and really takes me back to when I was learning 2-look OLL.
I'm sure I'll say the same about my favorite cubing video by you when it's 10 years old. And I like shorts as a supplement. The more Brody videos the better.
Wassup randoms I’m the comments. I’m a new cuber that’s been cubing for around 3 months. I only partially know F2L and only two look oll but I wanna learn that now that I finished full PLL. I just wanted to say you helped me improve at a very fast rate as I had my First sub 1:00 solve 3 weeks ago and now I’m sub 25! Thanks for everything Brody!
I watched this video in March 2015 , 2 year old video then. I already had a local cube , then bought a cyclone boys 3x3 in April 2015. This is one of my favourite videos , a similar video was created by a cuber with hall of fame dong in the background, I think that video is deleted. Cubing was simple then haha
Great new video as always! I feel like he probably saw the skip cases but purposely went the standard route as to summarize a full step 3x3 solve, since he’s kinda doing a tutorial like breakdown.
maybe I have not enough knowledge in cubing, i am a beginner, but can you explain how to recognize the case of oll skip he missed and how to find the pll skip hidden ?
Hello Brody, I know this is an old video but u don't upload anymore so I have nowhere else to comment this. I recently started doing a strategy where I leave 2 of my edges switched during cross (so like M2 U2 M2), and I think it has a lot of potential because it is essentially a get out of jail free card (if u get a terrible f2l oll or even pll case u can just do M2 U2 M2 to get a different case).

In the scramble I think I probably would have done the OLL skip even though the solution would be better if you don’t and force the PLL skip.
Thanks for you videos, i would love to see more beginers videos from you, or a retake on your old ones.
