it's not that they specifically disallowed "stickerless cubes", sitckerless cubes did not exist back then and they required using Rubik's brand cubes, which was a problem for people used to the Japanese color scheme (white-opposite-blue)

Almost 32 years old and after about a day of memorizing algorithms I just solved a GAN Cube with no instructions for my first time yesterday morning. I don't remember how many times I solved it since then.
Was I the only one to realize that the dad was wearing a scoops ahoy shirt? Or that the 2 cubers were named STEVE and JONATHAN? Like, from Stranger Things?
