This man single-handedly shaped my drumming vibe. I’m now 44 years old started listening to Nirvana when I was 12. Many other drummers helped fine-tune me, but this man gave me rhythm.
I totally feel Dave here. Almost everything I play and listen to nowadays has double bass. I've been playing drums for 20+ years since I was like 12 but have yet to attempt playing a double bass pedal. It trained me to be able to pull off some crazy stuff with a single pedal but I really want to try it out. Having 18 screws in my left foot is really whats kept me away from it honestly but I still want to give it a shot.

Only took him a couple of trys to shake the rust, and that is amazing for a song he may not have played since 1994
They played it at the Cal Jam show in 2018 for the Nirvana reunion, but still, was satisfying to see it click after the first tries.
@@CarlsWheezing yeah but 2018 was six years ago as of Nov 23, Dave's probably got it burned into muscle memory from all the In Utero shows.
Dave said in an interview that they get together and play all the time so he's playing those songs as often as they can

Yes, there's a flam on the 16th note just before beat 3. A very Dave thing to do.
