I would have killed to have a panhead rebuild video to follow along when I did mine, your breaking ground with this series on here. Great work with the attention to detail!!
Phil, I say it to young blokes all the time.."Your hands are not hammers, so don't hit spanners with them". Of course, nobody listens but I'm 69 and still doing 38 hours a week as a mechanic and my hands hurt because I did it too haha! Love this vid, think it's going to be another excellent series!!

They don’t call me hammer hands for nothing!
This video is great . Where are the other parts of the series ?
Yeah bottom end turn out to be toast so it never got rebuilt. I might do a video showing that
Wished I had a panhead so I could follow along, but this looks like it is going to be a real good series to watch.
Maybe it will put you off getting one? 😂
@@PhilsWorks LOL!! Nah.. I am too old to need speed... looking forward to following along.
Dr. Phil, takin us to skool! Great video man! 🤘
Thank you!
Brilliant!
Good man mate appreciate these.
Will be a good series this!
yeah much appreciation , i love the video and learning about how everything works . thank you
Glad to hear it! Cheers!
I missed you taking the inlet manifold off. Can be tricky if baked solid. Nice Pan btw. 👍
Hahaha yeah I used a hammer and a chisel. Didn’t want to show that 😂
How much is a Panhead running in Australia? Same engine here would be minimum $10=15k. I imagine its ever more expensive there.
Engine here by itself would be the 12-15k mark too. Whole bike about 35k
I would have to win lotto to own a pan or shovel [to have the $ and time to stuff with them ] Evos until then ..............
I have a video series coming up of a pan on the cheap I'm doing for myself!
NEVER use a impact during disassembly on an old. motor or for that any aluminum motor parts!!!!! already have sketchy threads.
Each to their own!
why are these so junk haha. forever on the tools with these things lol
Because some of them are almost 80 years old!
@@PhilsWorks yeah man fair enough, once someone like you goes through em they'll last another life time!
Nice work hammerhands 👊🏻 When’s the Ironhead series coming ?
No ironheads here sorry mate
