That Thai motorcycle taxi drivers said, “When my face goes dark and I’m about to faint I go to the petrol station and drench myself in water.” DW translated it as something about not having a choice about what job he could get? Wtf
It was probably something he said at another time in the interview and they didn't know Thai so they put the wrong clip
This is the power of the comments section.

You're the champ bro, thanks for helping common publics.
Climate change is the fruit of Petrodollar. In 1970 there were only 600 million cars. Now there are 1.4 billion cars. The funny thing is the EV that is climate friendly cars are taxed in many USA allies. Thus there will be more rooms for petrodollars to grow and USD is getting more expensive.
Bangladesh, the Philippines and Thailand aren't even the biggest carbon emitters in the world, but we are the most affected by the global warming.
these rich countries always saying "we need to cut down carbon emissions and use green energy asap" aren't even doing anything because they are all in the comfort of their homes with air conditioning powered by fossil fuels. All this renewable energy thing is ALL TALK!!!!
expect that next year will be hotter than this year.
It’s more about geography than economics.
We demand these rich countries to take responsibilty. Millions of people suffers from your carbon emissions
as you await and keep close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which the heavens will be destroyed in flames and the elements will melt in the intense heat. 2Peter 3:12
Well, that's actually not true. Those countries Are cutting down on carbon emissions and Are using more and more green energy.
I'm from Western Europe. I'm wearing 4 layers of clothes to keep me warm. Then I use 2 blankets on top of me to also keep me warm. Next to me is a warm-water bottle to really keep me warm. We only heat the living room anyway. Which basically means it's cold inside.
I buy as little as possible, donate to charity shops what I don't need, don't follow fashion trends (my coat is 15 years old). I don't have AC. There are many like me.
This is the reason why indonesia never listen to EU "useless talk and law"
They forcing anti deforestation, but at the same time releasing billions of tons of green house gas every year
Governments: Avoid direct sunlight and outdoor activities.
Also governments: Give permission to cut down more trees.
Saving trees should be priority but they're doing everything apposite and we people also don't oppose this.
Climate change is mostly contributed by China and bigger countries
Very true. People complain about warm weather when in fact the cause of getting global warming is the losing of trees while releasing too much fossil fuel in the athmosphere. When you looked in the sattelite, you can see how many trees have been lost.
Government : tap water unsafe? Just get your water from our dear friend Nestlé.
they don't care about the majority as long as them rich get good roads and enjoy air-conditioner at home, they will keep their eyes shut for average citizens who can't afford ac or high energy cost

It's not only the heat temperature itself. It's also a humidity. If the temperature is high and the humidity is also high than the body try to sweat more but can't cool itself down and this is /can be a danger to the health and body.
In the face of global warming, it's crucial to consider new methods to mitigate the health risks caused by rising temperatures. Enter the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT), a measure of heat stress that takes into account not only temperature but also humidity, wind speed, and solar radiation.
By communicating WBGT, meteorological agencies can provide a comprehensive understanding of heat stress conditions. This empowers the public to make informed decisions to protect their health, especially for outdoor workers, athletes, and vulnerable populations.
With climate change causing more extreme weather events, incorporating WBGT into forecasts is an important step toward safeguarding communities from heat-related illnesses. Greetings from Germany

Humidity is key, it makes it feel hotter as our sweat take longer to evaporate so we trap more heat on our skin
I'm on PH and my ac is almost running non-stop for 24 hrs. Once you get out of the room that doesn't have an ac, the heat will slap your whole body and immediately feel the sticky air enveloping you. I'm used to very hot weather but man, this time it's unbearable.

Been to South east asia recently and i can tell you one time ive been there right and its like a horrendous 46 degrees but it felt like 55 to be honest. The humidity is the killer.
malaysia had also experienced a heatwave a few months earlier since January. both January and February are the hottest months in the northern region of peninsular Malaysia due to the rain shadow effect shielded by the titiwangsa mountain range throughout the winter north-east monsoon. a small town called Chuping in the northern Malaysian state of Perlis had recorded the highest temperature of 40.1 celsius in 1998 and sometimes the main road cut off by a local water reservoir reappeared because of the prolonged drought. in another northern state of Penang, the local water reservoirs experienced a drastic drop in water levels right after a few pipe burst incidents and repairs happened in January.
It's the same here in Cambodia. Yesterday it was 41 degrees and 40 today. Right now it's 01.45 am and it's 30°
But aren't those high prices a sign of inadequate infrastructure? If there was more energy available then prices would (should) be lower, right?
