    Wow man looking good down there Great place to explore, it’s also amazing the rubbish that people put in the water, one day they will think before they pollute our beautiful ocean, we got to look after her for our kids and there’s .... love your videos keep up the good work buddy

      Thanks man, I didn't know what I was going to find when I set off but lots of busy ports are littered with rubbish, so I wasn't too surprised.

    In a previous video were you using Cressi Gara plastic fins? If so, how do they compare to the carbon fins you are using here? Do you feel like you need to protect the carbon fins more when you are foraging around the rocks? Also, do you do any apnea training to keep yourself dive ready?

    • @ryane8881
      @ryane8881  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! Yea I was using cressi plastic fins when I lost//broke my previous carbons. Carbon fins are much easier on the body you can swim faster but have less strain on the legs. You can still get out there and catch dinner and have a fun time with plastic though. I am probably slightly more careful with the carbon fins but not especially precious about them.
      Yeah I used to do a lot of training for spearfishing and that made me a better diver. I was doing dives over 2 mins. Over winter/early spring is great time to do it. I did cardio, apnea training and flexibility work.

      @@SRHartley that’s great. Have a look at “apnea walks”. Simple but can really help 👍

    Those dead crabs arnt dead it is where they grow and shed there shels

    • @ryane8881
      @ryane8881  3 года назад

      Crabs will shed their shells when they grow but this was a collection of dead crabs. Lots of crabs die in the commercial process and have to be thrown out. This was 100% the discard of dead crabs

    The block/ stone walled area looked very much like crabbers wharf.
    The pipe gave it away.
    If you find any lures stuck in the bottom- they're probably mine heh heh
    Hope you're staying sane admist this maddness chap

      Thanks for the comment Karl! I haven’t been down to the sea in a long time but I found a few decent sidewinder last year. Can’t vouch for sanity to begin with but definitely looking forward to this lockdown ending! 👍

    Do you know how to lure lobsters out of a hole Worked for me every time If lobster is under a ledge or rock Get above and behind Swirl up the muck in front of his den Then flash shiny object Knife a couple of times in front of the den in the cloud of muck They cant help walking straight out If they bolt it'll be in a strait line and never more than 20 30 feet Its never failed for me They must feel safe in the muck cloud Try if you like It will work If you don't already no All the best matey Pete
