FILM DESCRIPTION:
In this final chapter, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) obtains a 70-year-old message from the time-traveling Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd), in which he informs Marty that he has retired to a small town in the Old West. Marty then finds out that the Doc was murdered shortly after sending the letter. In order to save his friend, Marty will have to travel back in time, disentangle a lovestruck Doc from a local schoolmarm, and repair the DeLorean -- all while avoiding a posse of gunslingers.

Doc having a family of his own is the best ending for his story

i always liked the way the doc and Clara look at Vern..like he is a real handful.

Don’t make a reboot.
Don’t make a reboot.
DO NOT. REBOOT. THIS FILM SERIES. EVER!!!!
The creator has said no to it and made sure of it.
Its unlikely to be in our life spans that they wouldn't make another
Bad reboot is already salivating
or sequel. God no
What made these films tick was the fact that nobody had done this sort of film before. And it's heavily inspired by H.G Wells The Time Machine, so Back to the Future is by no means an original concept. In fact, timetravelling has been done quite a few times.
"Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has! Your future is whatever you make it -- so make it a good one!"
Man, those really are words to live by.... :')
Unfortunately our future isn’t fully determined by the choices we make we can have some influence on it sure but a lot of it is unexpected for better or for worse.
@@thatoscarguy9965
That's not true.
It's, just a way of seen it.
In fact, time as we actually know it, isn't the thing we could actually call time.
It's all about intents and scenes.
You could influence in results, but as long as You know the script, You could know the scene's end.
Have You read it yet?
Of course is unspected to You.
But then again, is just a way of seen it.
Yes I agree
"Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has! Your future is whatever you make it -- so make it a good one or ill be back!"
God has lífe plan for each person and that is already wrriten from the moment we are born
That train whistle at the end always gives me goosebumps!
When Clara signals Doc Brown in the climax with it I get Goosebumps and my heart swoons when she declares her love.

@@dunndunn596 2:08 yeah man XD
And saying “The End” emotional and exciting
As great as was seeing Doc and Marty reunite, I love that another reason Doc built a Time Machine was so he could come back for his dog, Einstein.
You cannot leave a good dog behind.
Such a beautiful ending. I think Doc knows Marty’s future and is happy.
Love this scene in the film. As a railway enthusiast, that locomotive puts in a good performance.
True, but the locomotive in this form is rather unrealistic, wouldn't you say
@@HyperCat72 doesnt matter
The franchise ended with a iconic scene that no viewer can forget about
@@HyperCat72 You mean a steam-punk time-traveling train is unrealistic? You are saying a train with components salvaged and repurposed from a Hoverboard made in 2015 on a train from 1885 is unrealistic?

Sure it’s real, but then why did Doc leave so quickly? He couldn’t stick around for a day, a weekend, a picnic, or trip to the beach maybe?

Such an amazing franchise. Can't believe how old it is too. The effects look so amazing for a movie from 1990. It will always be such an amazing movie (along with the other 2)!
Because it's a trilogy not a franchise. They got out while the getting was good and didn't try to milk 5 billion sequels like Star Wars Disney and MCU.
Back to the future will always have a place in everyone's hearts.
Novel practical effects and fantastic period costume design was what made those movies so timeless.
The effects were material objects that's why it's awesome
The second one is my personal favorite.
All the crazy adventures through time were always just a backdrop to the friendship between Doc and Marty. That is the heart of these films.
Back To The Future is my childhood.

I love how the railroad tracks can kind of “feel” pressure from the past of the locomotive as it joining 1985. The pressure is causing the rail crossing measures to activate.

It is an electrical circuit connection that activated the crossing signals.

That is an unexpected, but lucid way of looking at it! Thanks, this puts things in perspective again...
What becomes of Jules and Vern? Do they invent Starbucks or Microsoft as adults?
According to Jennifer's wiki page, her 18th birthday was two days after this movie ended. Going on a short time travel trip was heck of a way to spend her final days as a 17 year old.
This was a very strong ending of back to the future because as show the future you can make it a good thing
“Destroy the machine Marty!”
“nah jk look at this kickass time train”
Sounds like something doc would do
Even if i was born in 2000 i still consider this movie as my childhood
Your childhood pay attention to the little boy next to the dog and what he did
I wanna time travel back to my childhood and see Back to the future in the 80s again. Because I grew up watching this movie millions of times when I was a kid.
Saw the first one in Theaters recently. I wasn't even born yet to see it in theaters. It was one of the most memorable movie going experiences I've had in a long time!
just watched all three of the series again one of my favorites from my childhood and got tears rolling I just love it and will show this to my future kids 😅🙌🏻🙌🏻
Just seen this trilogy and it has a lot of heart put into it from the very first film to the end, I went to a roller coaster of emotions. Can't believe it was made years before I was born but I imediately forgot the old vfx and found myself smiling a lot of times because of great performance, screenwriting, direction and wholesome story.
To this day, this train time machine is still one of the coolest things I've seen from my childhood.
It is such an awesome thing to end the movie with.
I hope I get to see that train again in the upcoming Back to the Future DLC in Powerwash Simulator.
This is one of few trilogies done right. Favorite one of them all.
With Clara in his arms and flying off on a Hoverboard I felt was nothing short of epic.
In one moment Clara felt immortal love, clear proof of time travel (everything Dr. Brown said was true), and an amazing life ahead.
Took Doc 30 years to build the first time machine (ok Flux Capacitor mostly). Built a train time machine in 1800s in less than 10.
The first one was most likely 30 years of trial and error, the train one was probably relatively (because of the century) easier. Not to mention that he did have the hoverboard with him, so he might've reversed engineer it for it.
@@amm019 thats awesome, never thought of that
Well also isn't the woman he ends up with really smart? So not only does he have the concept down well, but he's got someone that with a few years of education can be a competent lab partner.
My issue is more with the parts needed, the reason this movie happened was because the replacement part for the Delorean wasn't available through manufacturing for over 60 years from 1885, just having one more person working towards is wouldn't change that. Though I can kind of hand-wave that away given in the timeline where he lives longer than just the few months until September, he'd now have had several years to figure out how to replace certain manufactured parts, especially given that circuits in the 1940's would have been difficult to make independently, but not impossible as if it were a more modern circuit with much smaller scale manufacturing techniques required to etch.
One thing that works in their favor probably is that since many parts being custom made would make them bigger and bulkier, a train would be a more suitable vehicle for increased component size, although a truck could work too. Not to mention with two smart people and combustion engines becoming available, they could have reasonably designed a fast enough car, though that would have been more work than retrofitting a train.
The other commenter pointing out hoverboard tech is also making a good point, whatever powers that would probably be something worth studying to create more reliable propulsion for the train. And you only need to time travel once, they hover-converted the train so they definitely went to the future, if all you do is make that first journey then suddenly you have all the tools you need in that time-period to upgrade and that solves the problem too.
Ended up writing a lot more than I intended but hopefully that provides some useful things to consider, hope you're having a great day both of you.
@@merclb56 Yes, he was able to recover components from a device from 2015 which could make people levitate. That kind of tech surely helped.
@@amm019 I always thought that too.
I’ve always loved the quote from Doc Brown “You’re future hasn’t been written it. No one’s has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one, both of you”. I actually said this for a rehearsal dinner for my cousin and people loved it.
Uh....Me thinks it's "Your future hasn't been written YET!"
" Your Future is Whatever You Make It" the greatest qoute in this trilogy that shows you that no future is set in stone

Doc your telling me you built a Time Machine!… Out of a steam locomotive?!?!?! God I love this scene when I seen it as a kid not in theaters unfortunately but my love for trains back then was crazy and this popped up my eyes lit up a flying time traveling train I wanted one so bad lmao recently thought about this scene again randomly and it still does not disappoint
You’re telling us all the great joys I share.
Back to the future is one of the most amazing movies, and this is the best ending ever!
I must be weird, but I couldn't help myself with a happy tear after Doc last words, "oh, no. Already been there" and the music 🥹🥲 I remembered waving myself when I was a kid. Massive applause to all those who work with BTTF 👏🏼
The Back To The Future Trilogy (1985-1990) is one of the FEW franchises that ends in a high note and NOT overstay its welcome, unlike others (e.g. Star Wars, Toy Story, Michael Bay's Transformers, Star Trek, etc.). I just saw all 3 films in one day and they were great. 👍
A flying time machine steam locomotive...
Oh,my!This is just badass!
Even now I am deeply moved!
Every time that train lifts off I get chills.
The Time Train, along with a newly rebuilt Delorean time vehicle, would later appear in "Back to the Future: The Animated Series"!
Speaking about the time train, what kind of disappointed me about the 2010 back to the future the videogame from telltales is that it didn't feature the time train at all.
Fortunately it did feature the iconic Delorean time machine that was fully restored to its natural glory but I still wanted to see the time train as well.
To those who are wondering where the Brown family time traveled to after this, the comics say that they went to September 1939 to visit the New York's World Fair. While there, two German spies believe Doc is Albert Einstein who simply shaved off his mustache.
This scene still makes me misty-eyed 34 years later.
What an incredibly well-written and produced series.
This movie cannot be remade. Nobody can capture the sheer magic of the franchise.
I can never watch this scene without getting all misty eyed. Still trying to get my 13-year-old son to watch the trilogy with me. Just movie Magic.

Do you the think Doc ever came back to check in on Marty? Maybe send him another Western Union package?
@@dylancooper3690 I would like to think they stayed in touch. No Western Union necessary with the Time Train.

Doc brown is a true role model!
Always putting people in the right direction!
what a legend!
A family travelling thru time and space together on adventures. Sounds cool!
best scene of all times
This is what life's all about.
That feeling you just felt as the train went on
Doc’s train was Steampunk before Steampunk became popular.
"It runs on steam" is the general definition of most electricity production. Doc Brown needed two more sentences of description for the electricity generation process.
After plutonium, lightning strike and Mr. Fusion, it now "runs on steam"
I guess the only thing that a time machine can't run on, is consistency.
The time travel train is so cool!
I like this time train Is my favorite train ever
Was there a better ending to a trilogy than this?

Freaking scene blew my mind when I saw it first. I wish I could see it for the first time again😢
0:26 what the hell 😂 huge time train appears
The way Marty and Jennifer get blown off their feet. It's exactly the same way Marty gets blown off his feet in the guitar scene at the very beginning of the series.
Never noticed that, but you’re totally right - this franchise is loaded with so many amazing callbacks and self-references!
Well....a steam locomotive suddenly appearing displaces a lot of air....that air has to go somewhere!
Good old Sierra Railway #3. Quite possibly THE movie star locomotive. Her whistle was sampled for use on the Polar Express which, coincidentally, also has a flux capacitor as an easter egg.
My mother loves how the time train’s doors open and close…a little nod to the Delorean.
The was/is absolutely awesome.
Still remember watching the first two on tv on a movie marathon thing that lasted 3 weeks. By the third, I missed it because we went camping. I was gutted, but it turned out my aunt had it on VHS. I still remember her unwrapping the boxset from the plastic and I was like, "No! That's gotta be a collector." I was about 10 at the time as well, and this was probably early 2000s, because I saw it at the video store as a dvd before she unwrapped it on video. Still, would like to know how much a mint vhs boxset of Back to the Future would go for now.
Best train ever

I love that the dividers actually came down for this train. Either it took centuries of planning, or they had a mind of their own.

I wish Jennifer was in Parts 2 and 3 more. We barley saw her and Marty interact with one another to know what their relationship is like. If Jennifer was in the movies more, we could've seen their relationship build up so we can like their pairing in such a special way. In addition, we could've seen Jennifer find out in 2015 how their marriage was falling apart and going through marriage counseling. With that, Jennifer would take this opportunity to try to fix that by having her and Marty go through certain changes to make their relationship improved. Plus, I think Jennifer could've been really helpful on the adventure Marty and Doc went through in these movies. Would've been interesting to see what she could've done in 1955 and 1885. I think it would've been fun to see her and Marty square dance in this movie as Doc danced with Clara.
I would never forget the day I saw the first two “Back to the Future” movies for the first time: December 21, 2012.
I was 9 years old at the time.
This is the ending all steampunk enthusiasts wanted
The best of the series for Mr brown he now has a family
The end doesn't wrap it up as much as the movie thinks but a great sequel
*STAND BACK*
Literally takes one half step back
Here is something to think about:
Comparing Back to the Future II and III to Karate Kid:
Both Marty McFly and Daniel Larusso had an old man as a mentor.
Both Marty McFly and Daniel Larusso had an enemy they had to beat up in order to win.
But Marty McFly and Daniel Larusso both had two other things in common. Both lived in California and both had Elisabeth Shue playing their girlfriend.
Scary, isn't it?
I love how Doc uses his knowledge of the future to create steampunk in late 19th century, lol.
Doc Brown extracted components from the Hoverboard to help create the Time 🚂
Proof the railroad crossings are magic. They can detect a train coming through time.
Rails? Where we're going, we don't need rails.

At around 2:12 the boy on the right does this weird thing with his hand. I think it was a blooper that they never took out of the movie, but it's definitely strange lol.
