Excellent tutorial! I watched the entire thing. It great to see how others approach a piece and what differences we have in playing. We use different fingering for 14:25. I will try yours and see which is easier even though I can already play it.
It's good you mentioned the differences in staccato between the official recording and sheet music. It gives us a choice to decide what to play. I don't think I ever had to play a gliss like that that requires backhand, so that was really helpful. Much easier than the front. And 42:40 good advice on avoiding the large jump by using the left hand.
I will revisit the video in the near future after I learn more of the song. Doing so will allow me to compare what I could have done better or to check over what I already know.
Thank you for making a great tutorial. I'm sure it will be helpful to many.

Having tried the piece yourself and then watch this will really give you insight of how my inner musical thinking works eh. I think you can probably appreciate more on how I try to put these thoughts and inner-thinking into words eh.

At 16:15 is there a specific reason you don't use your second finger on that C sharp ?
Also, thank you for these lessons they are really helpful

Good question, now that I look at it again, that would’ve made sense. I don’t always have the best fingering. Much is based on intuition. Only when I find some spot that’s extra weird would I study the music more to find better fingering alternatives.

@@RichardYangPiano thank you for the quick answer ! Fingering is not straightforward at all on this part of the piece this will be a pain to play at full speed for me for at least a few weeks/months

damn, im so far behind, ive been learning piano for idk 7months? maybe a year?, but actively max 3 months, the fastest piece I know is "Rush E", but I love this song so much, it lits up a fire inside me, I really wanna learn this, what do you think is possible for me? I have 2-5hours time everyday for this, time I am willing to spend, I think the pedal on my piano dont work, its not a problem ill get it fixed in a month or so, but realistically, I thought about learning 5 seconds of this piece everyday at least. What do you think? Please give me advise and tips you have, I am not intermediate or something, the only reason I can even play a piece like rush e is because I practiced my ass off back then, I will 100% get back to your video though when I learn this :0

Most pieces, if you’re willing to go slow, you can usually tough it out eventually. But I need to be clear, in order to play well, you must be willing to go SLOW. Just by reading what you wrote, I don’t think that’s gonna happen. But I’ll give you my advice anyway. SLOW!

@@RichardYangPiano my friend you underestimate me here, I am a very patient person, I can't give silly examples of that here. But I am super patient, I will give it time of course, I know very well about how this works. But if there is one thing Naruto as a whole and this song teach its to never give up, and again this song lits up a strong fire inside me, I'll learn it. Uhm I have the midi here and I have the quest 3, so basically I am able to do live synthesia, that will definitely help. But I will let you know how it goes, thank you very much my friend.

@@RichardYangPiano hey my friend, short little update XD, I can play the first 10 seconds almost on 90% speed, very surprising, you are very right about going slow, though I might ask if you have any other tips or techniques which could be helpful here, eg: finger/hand technique, i definitely need to work on hand independence here, any tips for that too? Thanks :0, I'm on a good way I think

Are you using a Preset in your Garritan CFX? I'm confused between the Full and Compact preset don't which one to choose

“Full” is supposed to be better than “compact”. For me personally, I can’t really tell the difference.
