I’m actually considering doing some more general piano lesson videos on different techniques, and how to improve sight reading and stuff, I believe these might be helpful. In my own imagination, I think people might be quite interested in how I process looking at the sheet music and play directly, like what goes through my mind and stuff. Should be cool.
@@Spydrco hmm… interesting. Let me do some digging (figuring out how I move my wrist). I’ll add this to the next lesson with difficult arpeggios. Never paid much attention to my wrist movement. I felt I have no choice. There are many notes, while playing them, the wrists move as required to get to the end result.
Yeah, my goal is to try to figure things out from scratch, then somehow transfer my knowledge to others based on what clicks for me, so my viewers can cut the learning time in half. To be honest, I really wish to watch videos like this during my own learning journey.
I had a feeling everyone watching this video is for this section. I had to figure this out myself. I started with a set of completely different fingering, took sometime to adjust to this final version of fingering I think works best.
Aayyeeee another amazing lesson 👏 . I can't wait to get good enough to be able to play and learn from this lesson 🔥. As always I appreciate you man ❤️. I will become a member soon(just waiting to get my new card in ❤️)
Quite honestly, I’m having more and more trouble with these piano lessons. As you see, Unravel is obviously extremely difficult, so there are lots of things to talk about. But other pieces, other than a few technical sections, I don’t really know how to talk through the easy section. So, a task for you, if you go through any of these, let me know what do you want to see more, for example, you want to see me play slowly as example, or I talk more about phrasing, or whatever. Or, I only focus on sections that I know people will have a problem with, instead of going note by note from beginning to end.
@RichardYangPiano i have one:Extra Voicing (three hand techniques). I have seen myself and others struggle pretty hard with these and animenz absolutely adores them 💀. So maybe I think you should do some of those really slowly. The main part I find is hard is when none of the notes in the voices are pressed down when other notes in other voices are pressed down. It's probably more of a thing were it gets confusing playing so many different notes . An example would be animenzs "my dearest". On the second verse I had to stop there because of the arpeggios in the right hand having no correlation with the melody (mostly) and cords on the left hand. Later, before I go to bed I (in just over 4 hrs:9pm) I will go through your whole video and jot some things down in my notes and try give feedback ❤️
Animenz has a fairly simple arrangement of Amazing Grace. I’m releasing this next week. Maybe you can let me know if you think people would be interested in a piano lesson on that one. I don’t usually do easy pieces.
Remember to let me know if this helps, or how I can explain certain things better. I rarely get feedback on my piano lesson videos, so I’m assuming people are okay with the content as is.
@@RichardYangPiano Your tutorial helps a lot, but I'm currently struggling on the "three hand technic" melody, my both hands cant move to the right note as it should be on C part of this song ( 8:45 ), I'm assuming this is muscle memories? I think you can talk more about how to move hands quickly and accurately rather than focusing on the phrasing that much. Either way, thank you for making these kinds of video to help!
The three-hand part, first, play the melody with RH only. You need to know the melody well. Once you’re familiar with playing the melody with one hand, then follow the RH/LH marking to play the melody only, forget about the other voicing. Once familiar, you add the other two voices. This is not a fast section, so it’s not quite muscle memory, which would be more applicable for fast “runs”. Cheers.
Thanks i was strugling on the G section to memorise the timming between both hands and your slow example helped me thanks ! (maybe this is just the only 2 h of training on this section that made me strugle a bit like not enought practice time lol )
Most people come here precisely because I don’t use synthesia. You can find those everywhere on RUclips. One doesn’t even need to know how to play piano to put together a synthesia video. With that said, my piano lesson videos are geared toward intermediate players or people who understand how to read music (being good at it is not necessary). Not to put you off, but if you can’t read music, you should at least be willing to learn to read. Otherwise this piece is way too difficult for you. People who can read music really well will still find this difficult!
@@RichardYangPiano I can play Clair de lune, Nuvole Bianche and a bunch of songs from the channel pianodeuss, I learned almost everything by watching his videos and trying to do it by myself, however, zi still didn't learn the theory part of the music in general, I know some scales and arpeggios but that's all, I still need to learn how to read sheet 😔
Srry if I bother u again, I'm not sure if my comments were deleted or something 😂. But anyways, ty for this, it really helps clarify some parts. As a side note, I saw another copy of animenz call of silence on 'musescore' it's transcription by ssee6724. Is it legit, like exactly the same as animenzs original? Otherwise it's copyright.. anyways thx for ur tutorial! ❤
Took a quick look, the transcription appears legit. Probably >90% accurate. Should be good enough to work with. But I always recommend the official sheet not only to support Animenz, but the way Animenz does music notation is more proper and some of the flow makes more sense just by having the music notation done properly.
@@RichardYangPianoalright then, ty for checking ❤. I might just try the arpeggios at the end to see if I can manage, then buy the sheets. Thanks so much Richard 👍
I really appreciate you making these lessons. I can't play pieces at Animenz's level quite yet, but once I am these videos will be super helpful.

That also seems super helpful to me. I’d definitely watch those
Maybe an arpeggio tutorial that includes wrist movement

Hmm… try your best to learn how to read. One note at a time. If you like piano enough, this is what will take you to the next level.
