- This is something I never wanted to film because I hate talking about this part of my life and I hate for people to feel sorry for me. I felt really uncomfortable filming this and pouring my heart out to you guys and being so serious because I HATE being serious I love being how I am online, being rebellious, loud mouthed, fun, happy to be around sortve vibe, and sharing this really took alot out of me to do, only my very near and dear know this stuff about me. Mia doesn't even understand it tbh... She knows I am unwell but she doesn't know the depth of what I have etc. It's only really my mum and boyfriend that know the ins and outs of what I have.
I think one important thing I forgot to share in this video is that this disease that I have DOES NOT define me!! I don't want to be that sick kid on the internet with a kidney disease... I NEVER want to be refered to as that because I am SO much more than that!!! I hate glorifying what I have but I really thought about this for a long time and I hope this finally gives you guys closure and that you now know what to expect from me from the distant future with the changes i'm going to be going through.
News and media outlets please do not bother messaging me and asking for an interview about this, i decline all of them. it's not that i dont want to help its just that i dont want to be the face of something im not fully invested in because i spend every minute of my life trying not to think about what i have and feeding into the disease and thinking about it only just glorifies it and it will make me extremely unhappy to be a poster face kid using me and my disease to make money out of it. its just wrong. that's just my opinion anyway.

This is such a raw video and it's a shame that you have to make it because of how others may react but you're so brave for speaking out about it in the manner that you do (I know you don't want to hear that and sound like a charity case but it takes balls to talk about it so openly). I’m 25 years old and I’ve just been diagnosed with something similar to this, autoimmune disease and kidney disease, I’m currently on prednisone and immunosuppressants, so even though you didn’t want to make this video it helps me to understand my disease a whole lot more so thank you, x

You did so well with the video! Autoimmune is a bit rubbish. I’m on pres for autoimmune and also immune suppressing injection / hospital treatment every 4 weeks - totally sucks. Your health needs to come first, as well as your family. You take care of yourself. I have an autoimmune disease and take low dose chemo drugs to suppress my immune system, and prednisone is like the devil’s crazy stepsister. You do what you need to do!

Man I have watched you for years and always admired you for being one tough cookie. I have a chronic liver disease. Im scared out of my mind to start treatment. I go in two weeks and seeing a video like this make me feel like I can make it through this. I truly have hit a depression with this disease and have no idea why im commenting something so private on a video. I just want you to know that you have made me feel not so alone at 4 am when everyone is asleep. Thank you.

It's really brave of you for sharing something so personal. Living with a chronic illness is something that we need to talk about more because it affects so many people, and people need to realise certain diseases exist to be able to understand why someone is looking or behaving the way it is. Keep in mind you are only gaining weight based on meds . and no matter what you weigh/look like we are still going to be clicking and watching your groovy makeup looks . I know I'm not happy until I'm told to 'GETWRECKED' At least once a day ahaha

My younger sister has psioratic arthritis (another autoimmune disease) and a bunch of other fun things and you described the immune depression, the medication reliance, the reluctance to tell people due to not wanting to sound attention seeking, medication related weight gain, changing medication complications, BASICALLY EVERYTHING YOU DISCUSSED was done amazingly and so genuinely. Thank you so much. Thank you so much for giving an accurate voice for my sister and I’m sure lots of other people with autoimmune diseases

I'm 29 and on dialysis girl, trust me my life isn't over yet! You're strong for sharing your struggle and I know it's scary, but kidney disease doesn't have to control your life! I work at a maximum security prison as an officer and go to dialysis after work. We have the same kind of kidney disease btw, I feel your pain girl.

Caito. You’ve provided me with so many lolz these past few years and cheered me up after a crap day but now, opening up about your illness has given me so much respect for you. I am a nurse in the UK that works on a nephrology ward so I see lots of people in your position with the same illness that just roll over and let their Illness become them, but I really do admire you so much for always being so positive in your videos when you’ve got so much other stuff to deal with in your personal life. Keep doing you, you are amazing and yes.. prednisolone is a real bugger but this is a temporary bump and you will get there! And your moonface well still look great with those eyebrows!

I’m so sorry you have to go through this, I know the struggle, I’ve been sick for about a year and a half now, one day my gallbladder crapped out on me, and even with getting it removed I’m still going through lots of pain and it’s taken a big toll on my mental health as well, this may sound weird but thank you for making this video because it gives me hope, that even though we go through these terrible things it is still possible to survive and come back from it 💗
Caito I have watched you for YEARS and I watch every single one of your videos. Every. Single. One. I've always heard you mention days where you dont feel well, I've heard you apologise if you don't seem right and I've heard you vaguely explain your "weight gain", yellow teeth and shaky hands probably over 100 times and if you have taught me ANYTHING its that I shouldn't be feeling sorry for you. You are still living your life despite everything that's thrown at you and from the very beginning I have admired your attitude. You taught me that I shouldn't care what others think, I used to shy away from buying clothes I like and dying my hair the colours I want but I saw you with your amazing colourful makeup, your gorgeous clothes and your hilariously down to earth personality and you inspired me to be the person i am today.

cairo you do not need to worry about consistently posting. your health is the most important thing. we all understand the circumstances and we care more about your well being than a couple videos a week! you do what you need to do and if you upload, great! if you don’t, that’s all good too.
The postive attitude you have even through something like this is something you should be so proud of. Never feel like you're letting anyone down, especially us, because we subscribed and love YOU and so whatever YOU want to put out there is exactly what we're here to see. I'm so thankful you filmed this! I've been diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency a year ago and it kind of reminds me of what you're going through. Obviously these are two different illnesses and situations but mine is really unheard of too and there's not much information on it. I've been taking steroids to keep me alive and I've put a lot of weight really quickly (especially on my face which i hate) alongside tons of different side effects. I'm so glad you made this video as it just made me feel a bit less lonely. I hope the treatment works out for the best in the end and I'm proud of you for being such a strong potatoe! xx
I know that those of us on prednisone usually have to stay on it because every human body produces about 7 percent of it or so, but people on the drug stop producing it completely and can't live without any in their system. Getting off of it takes so much time uggh. I have been on the stuff for over ten years too, and this video just taught me a couple of things..never knew about those possible mood swings, dark thoughts, and insomnia..so much makes sense now!

I’m so proud of you for speaking out! And especially when there is others out here that are going through the same thing as you! I too have been on the same steroid for another illness and I can completely Relate to how they makes you feel physically and mentally! I was having 25mg a day and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.

My daughter had a blood disorder ,where her blood wouldn't clot,and they had to put her on predisone, she hated it,I hated it ,it's such a strong drug but the good thing it helped her get better,but when she was on it ,it was super hard but it ended up helping her. Caito, i understand what you’re going through. Ive been diagnosed with Lupus since i was 14, i’m 24 now...we all have stories to tell. All you need to do is find the right medicine, take care of yourself & try not to think about dying so much. You’re very young. Chances are you will live a long beautiful life. 🙂🌍😘 Chin up!

I’m so thankful for you deciding to do this video. I was on prednisone an uncountable amount of times over 3 years to treat “hives” since it wasn’t officially diagnosed as anything and I experienced the same things. Although it’s horrible to hear, I’m glad that someone who went through this was willing to speak up. I thought I was the only one who had such an adverse reaction because that is what I was told.
