- I’ve been collecting zoanthids and palys for years, here are my FAVORITES!
Whether you like zoas or not, you cannot argue that the color variations that this coral possesses are limitless. Just when you think you’ve seen them all another morph comes in on a wild rock and becomes all the rage. Like Pokemon, you feel like you “gotta catch’em all!” lol. I feel like every mixed reef tank should have a solid zoa garden!

Nice collection of zoas Remy. That unknown zoa looks like a Darth Maul to me. Just getting into more upper end zoas now. I have some white zombies and little shop of horrors which are growing out nicely. 👍

Glad I found this channel awhile back. Love the content and you tell it how it is when it comes to corals and products. How about a video on your lighting and schedule? Also a 6ft mix reef would look awesome in the new room on the wall. Have a bio cube in the little cutout and your frag tank in the closet if it would fit. Then have your desk next to the main tank so its always in the videos when your recording, whether it be fragging or anything else.
Great suggestions! I didn't even think about the frag tank in the closet. It would totally fit too. Just need a new stand.

My favorite zoas that I have are Mary Jane, an indo frag plate zoa, and spell binder. I want to find krakens!

Those are awesome Z and P's. I just picked up a beautiful 14 polyp or so Utter Chaos for a bargain and this thing is beautiful. I like the thought of a huge 6ft display tank and then you have room for a couple smaller ones and a filter room sounds awesome as well. Until the kids decide to come back down and commandeer their location again Haha Great video! Thanks for sharing!

think how much time save, say z & p. Save time. I think you have the right idea's for the room. I'd say use the closet to hold the sump, few holes in the wall will be easy to cover when it's time to move. I'm a fan of plumbing all the tanks into the one sump for easier maintenance, dosing, etc. You could probably fit a 120g in there and diy some baffles in. For the main display I'd say just make sure you go deeper on the dimensions, at least 30 inches IMO. I know a cool guy who has a 72x30x25 planet aquarium peninsula... 🦉🍻
For sure on the depth! Ideally I don't want anything taller than 16 inches. Lagoon style display for sure.
I'd have to say my dream zoa is the gold maul. Not because it's too expensive, but because I can't ever find them. My all time favorite, and one that I own, is the illuminati zoa

I really want some hallucination zoa. But my favorite that I have now are the daisy cutters and rainbow incinerator zoas.
Halls are some of my favorites too but they like to melt on me.
Put down a lifeproof floor. Nice and easy DIY install. Put some sort of barrier between the tank and drywall bc the saltwater destroys drywall and less repairs when u move.

You just gotta know your limits. If you can toss out $1500 per polyp and not blink twice, go for it! If not, wait...it will come down in price...unless its a stratosphere. I don't think those have ever come down in price, lol.

Favorite zoa I have is not unnamed one use as my RUclips picture but it hard to decided if it’s my favorite I have really a toss up between this one and my blue agave or salted agave my dream zoas would be gmk or little shop of horrors

Concerning the new room and the closet. You have to Deal with a lot more vaporation to get no mould in your walls. Dont risk your and your families health. It also can make rooms uninhabitable if once inside.

Yes, we'd definitely have to vent the space. This is something I am looking into for sure. Thankfully that room is on an exterior wall...the question is, do I want to start making holes...
Dude I got a booster pump for my 4stage rodi and I never looked back it took 2 1/2 hours to make 5gallons of water now it's an hour exactly! I like cube tanks but that's just me more viewing windows! Awesome video as always Remy keep it up dude!!

My favourite Zoanthid from my tank is my LA Lakers(I’m a huge Lakers fan after MJ Bulls era), but they were really slow growers.. And I really wanted to have a decent size rock covered with Lakers, Rastas, Utter chaos, scrambled eggs, and fire&ice Zoanthids 👍🏼

GodBeast ZOAs are my absolute favorite and would love to have those. And the best one I have right now is WWC purple monsters and everlasting gobstoppers

I’m not sure of a bunch of variables like budget, diy or hiring a contractor but that looks like a lot of work. First do you have 20 amp electrical already in the walls? Do you have plumbing and a drain you can connect to somewhere in that room or the walls? Are you capable of doing this work yourself that will save you a bunch of money. Also the odd angles of the room is going to be another challenge. But all of it is possible it just depends on how much money you’re willing to spend. If you’re only going to be there a couple more years, chances are you’ll never get the money back that you put in to that room. It sounds like you want everything reef related moved into that room, I just not sure if it’s worth the time money and effort if it’s only for a couple years.
Just for some context I’m struggling with my own setup and possibly adding a fish room in my garage for QT and frag tank plus mixing station. It gets expensive quick and I can do all the work myself.
I need real comments like this. Honestly, it all sounds great when just talking it out but it's a lot of work to change the whole room around. These are all good things to think about. Thanks for the feedback James!
Totally know what you mean regarding something having a name and your version looking slightly different. My Sunny D's have a thin yellow circle vs the bigger one i see most people have. But i agree buy what you like, I can stare at any coral for ages.
It's mesmerizing. I think that's why we keep it. They are such unique animals!
Favorite would be frozen eagle eyes. Wish list would be cb Bowsers. Acro spawning would be crazy awesome! You would probably need an apex and a whole bunch of planning. Looks like the kids haven't been down there in months(or ever). You should come up with your own name for the ????? Zoanthids. Bahama Llama Rama or something like that.

Richard Ross is a very good and entertaining speaker! Also Jamie Cragg from the UK is very interesting to listen to as well. It would be so cool to experiment with cross breeding acros and millis!

I could but there prefab dimensions aren't super ideal. Might have to get a couple custom tanks.

Good question. I really only feed the corals once a week with a combo of Reef Roids, Coral Max & Aminos.
I don't know how I would tell other reefers what zoas I had if the different colors and patterns didn't have different names. It's fun to try, you'll sound crazy though 🤣
There are a ton of things in this hobby that would make us sound crazy to normal people, lol!
I would say my favorite that I have are tasers and my white whale that I’m looking for would be night fury zoas. From what it seems they aren’t really around anymore

If there’s yellow around the center it’s probably a Queen stratosphere not a white walker

My dream zoa is definitely the Master Krak. The one im most proud of that I own is the WWC AOI zoas
I don't have the AOI's yet but that's a definite must have in the collection!
@@BahamaLlamaCoral I would say even though it was a colossal pain I got mine during the last live sale. Killer deal and took almost to the end of the second day but well worth it. 6 polyps for 96 plus shipping.

My favorite Zoanthid that I own right now is the OG Rasta zoa from Chaos Aquaculture. My current dream Zoa is the Oompa Loompa.
Oompas are very attainable. I predict you'll have some by the end of the year!
Lsoh is so bright but mine has tiny polyps. is that normal? Can you believe my GMK came back to life and one poly is now 4! Either that or I am losing my mind but thought I had lost the 2nd one I bought because the first melted very quickly. I cant think of any other zoa I had thatit could possibly be and it looks like a gmk! i am fixing to buy some spellbinders(thats how I ran across this video) for 34 bucks! Just a single polyp though! Pretty good eal am I right? No shipping either since I am picking up some others! i am currently collecing high end zoas and my biggest score was a 2 polyp bozo for 35 bucks! I also got a 4 polyp frankies acid trip super cheap(cant remember price) and 4 polyp lsoh for 100 or something like that! SCORE! It was supposed to be a single but calikids hooked me up on a ebay auction because my order was so big! They even threw in freebies and some shroom boxes! They did claim I had to pay 2 seperate shipping fees though because they couldnt fit in one box but they easily could!
I don't know if I have a dream zoo, I kind of buy what ever looks nice then learn the name after lol, did that and got some hawiian pe and magician pe for only £10. my favourite zoo I own rn probably has to be goblin fire or the magician pe

Scarface zoas are my favorite, but unfortunately I sold them when I sold my last tank when I broke my arm. So I need them back. Those white walkers are pretty sick though.

My all time favorite right now is probably the rastas or tazer zoas. I know their cheap but I love the color of them and I have rastas that have not opened and now all my coral look pissed so idk 😐 I left to drop my gf off this morning. 20 minutes and things look pissed. Idk why
First off, very nice touch with rules suck coral shopping spree woooooooooooooo! I love all 40 zoas I have so please don't make me choose but id love to have that un named #1. Here's my suggestion. Save money and move what you got. You don't have to buy new tanks until you know you're somewhere your going to stay at long term. Maybe upgrade the light situation because your better than the pvc 😆
That PVC though....it's like my calling card now. Does that reference still land? lol. It's really just holding the two t5's...which are doing virtually nothing anyway. Great suggestions on the move.
@@BahamaLlamaCoral the system is gorgeous and I wouldn't change a thing. Even the pvc but you asked for suggestions and thats all I got. For what it's worth, you could probably ditch the pvc and add them to the ai mounts in the back

As an owner of 6 full line pet store and 1 dedicated fish stores, I find youtube extremely important. I just wish I could find more time time to shoot videos but something always seems to come up. I didn't get my dedicated fish room till the kids moved out. The airline thing does really suck. We are having to tack on an additional 30 to 40% for shipping were as we used to only have to add 10%. Please check out the channel. Remy keep up the good work. Stay fishy my friend.
I feel like RUclips is so essential for all legit shops online or otherwise. I get that the standard LFS isn't rolling in extra cash to hire someone dedicated to social media/video but it's something that should be thought about. OSA and Galleria Aquatica do a great job with this. There are even some added revenue streams with RUclips ads and such.

They'd make my top 20 just because they are one of the OG zoas in my tank. Had them forever. Tried and true.
