- We recently rescued this super solid 1935 Ford with the perfect patina. We found this survivor in Northern New Jersey in a barn where the previous owner had it store until his unfortunate passing. This is an original flathead V-8 car but it was pulled to rebuild. This is a true barn find survivor from the golden days. Thanks for watching! Be sure to like and subscribe to keep track of all of our builds and adventures.
the car has been sold at this time

What a great sweet little flat back
It's amazing how nice that old Ford looks!
Great that you are leaving it pretty much original 👍
seriously Awesome
5:54 OMG that looks sooo good! Those whitewalls really make it pop
The black wheels with the trim rings look pretty "KOOL"!!! Very nice piece!!!
What a great find, love those old Ford cars and trucks. 👍🏻
Thanks for watching Gee! -Matt/ITG
IronTrap Garage You're welcome. You need to have a tv show. Love your videos cause I'm a Navy veteran and you are a great example of what it means to live the American dream. I really like those old cars and how you fix and build them! 🇺🇸👍🏻
Awesome Find!☝️💥💥💥👍☝️
Wow super nice find, hopefully you get to enjoy it before it finds a new owner. A very unique body style, cool for the whole crew to pile into.
I had a 37 Slantback..they make great cruisers...room for 4 inside, but still cool looking!
What a great old Ford.
Thanks for watching!! -Mike/ITG
Great find Matt! Thanks for pointing out the neat little details.
Ryan.
My first car was this. Mine didn't have a chrome grill. It { what remains } is still on our farm. I took out the engine and rear window for custom work on my 41 4 door mercury Back then I didn't like the style. Now I love it.
It's an early 35 because of the smooth sided fire wall ,the cowl area on the side no X rib like the late 35 and 36 had
Very cool car!!! Love it!!
fantastic you have a good eye on vintage
Fantastic find; most barn finds are pretty rough.
Didn't watch long enough prior to my post, great lucky find!!
Thanks Mark, it went on to a new home in the Midwest. I hope he has it on the rode this spring! -Matt/ITG
great find wish I had the $$
can't wait to see it running and driving..
Can't wait to see the 35 Ford, I am putting one together and would like to take pictures of yours for ideas of whats missing from mine
This car sold a while back, we no longer have it. Sorry! Thanks for watching!! -Mike/ITG
Cool car
Love the look of that car.
I hope it doesn't get cut on, but to each their own.
No cutting up of this car. Most I'd do to it is a drop axle/springs and drive it!
The glass was made at ford , they made every part of that car!!
Thanks
You can't save them all. But I think I would save that one.
I love that one
So u found another 35, 36... this isn't the same car I saw on video last nite. WOW...
Built a sweet many door humpy ceedan way back in the mid 50's, full nut n bolt! business caused me to sell it, went to one fool, then onto one other b4 the CUSTODIAN who has it now fully appreciates it, still running all the same paint "BLK TINTER: and royal blue int which is now after over 40 years needing replacement but all in all still miss it but it has a good home
Wow, what a solid car! I agree with your sentiment, a nice drop in motor, reupholster, and ha e fun! They're only that original once. I'd probably ly go for a 38 or later v8 myself as well. Insert bearings are so much nicer than the babbit. Some offy heads, dual carbs, 3/4 race cam and high flowing manifolds, ooohyeah, awesome! 😀,
I caught that slight "Philadelphia-area 'twang'.." when he pronounced the word, "car", around the 3-min. mark. Personally, IF I was going to do much with it, I would keep the engine pure stock '35..... but "everybody slices a loaf of bread a little differently." Anyway, while it's in great shape, I wouldn't keep a two-door: I'm a four-door man, FWIW.
Matt is far enough West to pronounce "water" not " wooder" at 4:14
Very nice I love it. Ive got to many irons in the fire. Would love to keep the original look even the paint but a stealth modern drive train and suspension and drive it every day. Modern car styling just aint getting it.
vou precisar de uma moldura da grade ,belo carro o seu parabéns
The Assend Of The Car Has A Very Strong Resemblance To The Chrysler PT Cruiser
That is exactly what its design was based on and the Prowler was based off the 32 ford.
firewall colour matches the spray can you found.
Hi Matt, Just watched your video on 1935 slantback, just great. Have to ask how much would it be? Its perfect as is! Thanks.
Hi Bruce I'm asking 8k including the spare drivetrain I pulled out of my stash for it. Hard to find them this clean!
IronTrap Garage that seems way cheap!
Those can't be the same tires you found it on, right?
This motor was called the flatty
If I'm correct
the '35-48
Got a new crankshaft design
First put in the '32-'34 model known as the model 18 ford and put in the model 4o for '33'34
In 1935 took a compression drop to 6.3:1
But had HP BOOSTed to 85
This was an overhead valve engine -
Gangster bad ass
😃

This car was sold to another enthusiast.

They are dated in the video details it tells you when the video was posted originally.

Later referred to as the victorian drop trunk- i need not tell you the horrors which ensued as it showed its last WARPED vestiges IN THE horrific light in the ass CADILLAC SEVILLE and LINCOLN continental (rarely referred to as yet sometimes badged as the MKII)which made it even more shocking because of the LINCOLNS conservative background- historically superior bearing over the cadillac-
LINCOLN- the first if which was built by Henry Leland/ who was fired from the FOMOCO under Henry himself over disagreements regarding efficiency and standardization of parts (standard parts competition england 1903-3 Cadillac a models put disassembled in three BINS- objects mixed and matched amongst the 3'autos which showed the parts were STANDARDIZED (by making them 3 complete cars of mixed PARTS - obviously lol perfectly fitting w/0 the help of old "forearms"HENRY the blacksmith-LOL ("standard of the world" MOTTO came from this) THEY received their fame when it won the 1903 -o4 DEWARS cup TROPHY AS WELL as various British motorcar society medals)
He was ALSO FIRED BY THE DODGE brothers- why you ask? SAME BASIC REASONS- you see you had to goto a blacksmith to get new or old parts fit an early car -And there WERE DOZENS of upstart companies then- he later founded his own company and made his own car CADILLAC named after the discoverer OF DETROIT- WAIT HOW did i get this far out from the original point of slant back "victorian drop" trunks" etc?!
forgive me guys I am 🥜 's about certain cars as you can see, mainly dodge cadillac and lincoln- I also firmly believe you should thoroughly know the company HISTORY- or you are DOOMED to NOT TRULY Know a thing about the auto

Um a SUBSCRIBER and a big thumbs up
I don't get it why people need to make up bogus names for shit like slantback, notchback, etc., for vintage shit. It's bullshit. Ford didn't produce a slantback. It' a 1935 Ford Model 48 Tudor Sedan.
Don’t yell at us yell at the people that decided to call it that probably 70 years ago and we just used the common term. Same as getting mad at someone call tissues Kleenex.. common slang that’s been adopted by the rest of the world.
PLEASE Don't chop this up? IF I am NOT to late. Overhaul the Original motor and transmission and put them back in there.. How many of these ole FERDS can be left out there in this kinda condition! 11/20/19 5.31 am cst USA TRUMP 2020..
I have been building cars for more than 50 years, and maybe, maybe, found a "BARN FIND", and you seem to find them almost weekly???I am calling you out as Bullshit, as to your "BARN FINDS", just sayin'
Sucks to suck.
I didn't see the motor so what's something like that worth facts like these are what people would like to know. If you thought price was going to be to high I would not be interested any way but I would like to know what you thought it was worth. So exactly what happened to the motor why was it setting in the barn all that time you are to generic more history on the car would be nice if you didn't ask,say so but may be next time you should. The car had 38.000 someone surely someone new something about the car. Very boring. Will probably come back to see it running but expect a little more history or won't bother coming back again.will probably unsubscibe
