Oh heck yeah! You guys are cool as hell! I hope you do have kids, and make them all motorheads!
Looks like something made from a Popular Mechanics set of plans from the early 60’s!😊
I agree! It very well may have been built from some of those plans! Thanks for watching. -Matt/ITG
Looks like Crosley trans and rear end to me. Very cool
Thanks for the info! Its an odd ball combo! -Mike/ITG
Awesome Save!!!
Very cool. I have older he go-karts the kids don’t ride them no more still cool. Ty Steve
That is now one of the most awesome things you own! And that's NOT a slight to all the other awesome things you own. Some real care went into building it so some kid could ride around in style and have fun. Twenty bucks says you're tempted to find an old motorcycle engine and get it moving again. I know I would be.
Matt and I may have had a few conversations since picking it about about making it run. Unfortunately neither of us fit. -Mike/ITG
Everyone should have one of these honestly
Aaahhh the life of a picker.... good pull guys!
Always searching and hunting!!! -Mike/ITG
That fit perfect under the shelves. Can't wait to see it get worked on.
We have been talking about messing with it here and there to possibly get it running again. We shall see -Mike/ITG
That would make a cool speed shop sign.
Wassup watching this cause I seen a comment on your new video
Cool old piece!!!👍👍
It’s killer, looks a lot better in the shop then rotting away!!! -Mike/ITG
So many of these neat little treasure of the past have died with those who kept them. Its promising to see someone picking up their torches.
That little thing is screaming for an old running 2 or 4 cylinder lawn tractor motor or a 50's-60's Harley engine and dirt track midget racing paint job.
Wide tires on the rear.
I'm sure there's plenty of teens that'd have a blast driving it.
We all know you've got the talent to make that happen Matt.
That thing is awesome great video new toy and i get to see the pagoda city coupe again haha
We have some plans for future videos featuring the Pagoda City Coupe, Thanks for watching. -Mike/ITG
That's pretty stinkin cool!
Super rad!! -Mike/ITG
Your wright it went to a good home! It will enjoy its new life right there were it belongs!
It's always a better home then rotting away, long forgotten! -Mike/ITG
That go-kart the size of it would be absolutely fantastic to find an old Saab V4 engine to put behind it, also Wisconsin built a few V force that would have been ideal also for the period.😎💣
We are tossing around ideas on what to do with this. Matt actually picked something super cool from this place over the weekend. There should be a video and a build coming soon. Thanks for watching!! -Mike/ITG
Scene one with a 1960's triumph motorcycle motor , very cool.
Slick cool music enjoy your videos MATT &MIKE
Thanks for watching -Mike/ITG
Definitely a Nash Metropolitan rear end
Rather see it go on antique shop at least somebody come by and put it together and do something with it
Killer pic Matt!!
He was like a little kid on Christmas! -Mike/ITG
Cool as hell!!!!
Coolest thing Matt has purchased in a while. How long till he tops it? -Mike/ITG
This is a fun video 🙂
I now can't live without it. I want it now! FYI I live in Spokane washington
I made something similar to that and it goes 50 mph . I haven't taken it out due to covid . I cant wait till the car shows come back .
I'd say add a four-cylinder Wisconsin engine and that would really give a radical look and they have a great sounding motor when it's idling . Some of the coolest stuff I've bought was just a mile or two from my shop and sometimes they just stop and give me parts and other cool stuff . Love that mini roadster ......
Its crazy what you can find locally right in the same town. We will keep the Wisconsin engine in mind! -Mike/ITG
Flathead sounds cool
Do you have a nice pretty great addition to the garage you and your child can decide on what to do with it when it's time congratulations on the pic
Should have brought it in the house! And good garage music !
Next stop Iron Trap Cycle Carts!!!
May or not be in the works, I can not comment! Thanks for watching!! -Mike/ITG
With would put a ford v8 flathead 60 in it , kind of like shades of the 40’s fifties midget sprint cars !
Anything happening with this little car yet
I think the pedals are from a VW bug. Also, could it have been built in Europe? It is right hand drive. Or perhaps they used a front mount steering rack and turned it upside down to get the proper motion?!
We agree on the VW bug pedals. The rest we are not really sure on. For now its stashed under the shelving unit in the shop. Maybe one day we will dive into it a little more and put an engine in it and such. Thanks for watching!! -Mike/ITG
i have a rear end out of a morris minor that looks like that ,but then again leland motors were making rears for both the minor and the metro ,very kool anyway
Very cool! Yea we never looked for part numbers to find out what it was out of, so you could be correct too! Thanks for watching. -Matt/ITG
I can tell it's speaking to you, you might get a stealy 💺 in make up a rumble seat opening to place the seat so you could drive it around without running it which could easily be closed back for a 9-11 year old very cool 😎
The RHD kinda points it toward something English-based.
You should make it run and drive
work on it, don't let it sit
Mike and Matt- what is the purpose of the tractor tire ? was it supposed to somehow contact a flywheel on some sort of small engine and transmit the power to the trans?? And what era do you date this to? it looks pretty old school other than the steering rack. LOVE IT !
Hi Roger, we think they either had a belt running around the tire and the crankshaft of the engine and when you pushed the clutch pedal in it raised the tire and let the belt slip on the tire. When you released the pedal the belt tension was brought back and it would spin the driveshaft/transmission. I'm not quite sure they ever fully finished the car the more I look at it as there are a few things that don't look full done. Hard to say. I'd love to find a little hopped up Crosley engine to put in it even just for display!
Might be a Crosley trans & rear...
What ? Sticking it in a shelf ? I thought you might work on it
Was it a bust on the Studebaker parts? I love the Studebaker trucks.
There are a bunch of parts but majority of the Stude stuff is going for roughly the current prices. At places that specialize in a certain brand/make you gotta look for items outside of that knowledge. Thanks for watching!! -Mike/ITG
You should have gotten that tin grill rollback. Any idea if this is still available?
That was already spoken for when we got there. Thanks for watching. -Matt/ITG
60s International school bus!
Gulf cart rear axle!!
where is it now?
Like to made a deal on the first generation Dodge flatbed tow truck that would come in handy and make you some money.
What parents did for their kids before x box and play station
Just for kicks and giggles you should have tried to air the tires up before you moved it into the garage. Super cool find though!!
We talked about it after and we would have had to air them down anyway. It barely fits under the rack in Matt's shop. We also originally thought the wheels were seized but we got them free as well. Thanks for watching!! -Mike/ITG
IronTrap Garage I would have liked to have seen you show it and describe it in more detail like how it motor would have mounted up to it how the Driveline works stuff like that. I'm jealous it's way cool : D
Thanks Todd, if I find the time and the right parts show up I may make this a driver someday. Once Mike's little one shows up we might have a good excuse in a few years to build it! Thanks for watching! -Matt/ITG
Es como la que estoy armando.
Is that motor going in the cart
Could also be an English Bantam
how much are you willing to sell that thing?
That’s what you’re gonna do with it it’s just stored away
You should have left the Vise Grip steering :)
It displays much better with a real steering wheel! -Mike/ITG
Austin Bantam rearend maybe???
Rearend (stupid autocorrect)
How much do you want for it I live in Maryland and I'm 12 so I'll fit in it
There’s only one motor for that.
The Suzuki Hyabusa.
Idk if anything on this would hold up. Matt doesn’t even fit!! -Mike/ITG
You mean dwarf racer?
Put a v4 wisconsin in it
Get a 2 cilinder in it

What ever it is, its super cool and an awesome conversation piece!! -Mike/ITG
What the hell!?
put a 4 cylinder motor in it
fix the mechanicals and leave it be.
so you are not hiding it so your wife can't ask questions??
LMMFAO!
Waste of effort, what a fool
