She delivered and ate the girls up week after week!! She was CLEARLY the one to beat overall and the only two people who could stand toe to toe with Carly, vocally, were David Cook and Syesha!!! That would’ve been a final three to see ESPECIALLY if they were given songs that showed off the greatest vocal abilities!! They sang everybody under a table and back that season, and the fact that Carly was eliminated during the top 6 week without ever being in the bottom 3 or 2 was insane and absolutely incorrect!
Paula Abdul is so right in her post performance comments about the "tenderness" of Carly's voice, her tone is just so good even without the glory notes. Amazing!
There is always that moment in the competition when all the other contestants think "oh shit, I'm in big trouble here" .... this was one of those moments for at least 15 of them.
you can see she is sick, coughing on the stage, but she is still givin simon the business LOL :D

i didn't watch AI that season... can someone tell me why she DIDN'T win? sounds to me like one of the best talents AI has ever had..
her face at 5:11 is like: I dont care what u think randy....u like everybody. I wanted simon to like it.

Simon's only ability in music is to profit off of people who actually HAVE talent. Record companies no longer invest in developing artists because of people like him.

I love Carly, but the song has stupid lyrics. Smiles do not leave shadows. I'd take
Smokey Robinson's "Tracks of my tears" any day....
