  • A very brief prior visit yielded a big nickel spill in the surf. So, this time I arrived at Ocean Beach with high hopes. But I ended with only enough finds for a ½ length video. Sparse & scenic! Oh well. Sometimes it's like that...

After a few quick coins including what looked like a Chuck E. Cheese token (turned out to be a 2005 Costa Rica 25 Colones) & avoiding canine land mines in the doggie section, I went to the people side.
In the 1/2 mile stretch of wet to the pier, I found only 1 penny. There weren't even trash signals.
The way back on dry sand was only slightly better, including 5 coins found in 1 spill. At least I "hit the cycle" twice! The find of the day was an unusual combo tool found in a picnic area with concrete tables where camp stoves are used. Maybe it's for adjusting stoves, their stands and fuel canisters.
