But on my end immediately after you said "using" the theme song to O'Reilly's Auto parts started to play. I swear it was a seamless transition and i legitimately thought I was getting punked

The paddle shifters add fun factor, but I’d imagine letting the car shift itself will give better times than shifting yourself.

@Modern Muscle - learned some things however, coming from a professional advertising photographer, waaay too much dead air as we call it. Just watching you continue driving around with no talk isn't the best use of our time. Also, tweak the camera angle. Too much roof. The picture in picture was the best part of the video. With these improvements, in my opinion, your videos will be MUCH better! Thanks for the lesson.

  • @motorgearhead

Too technical... that 8 speed is a great tool for keeping the engine in its peak horsepower and torque bands. From a couple of stock dyno results posted I’d suggest you play with shifting at peak HP RPM and not at redline. The reason i suggest this is it appears the 5.7 makes peak HP right where the engine torque drops off. If you shift at that rpm the upshift will be in the fat part of the torque curve. If you shift at redline your engine HP has dropped and torque has taken a dive as well. Depending on your gearing your engine rpm may not drop back into the sweat spot to take full advantage of available torque or HP. Of course this is all dependent on your trans ratios. Look at a dyno graph. Fuel cut off come 700-900 rpm past your peak numbers. If your trans ratios are close there may not be any benefit in winding out to redline or bumping the rev limiter.

Put the car in sport mode without using manual take off hard.... Look at the rpms to tell where the car itself will do it. Usually the car is correct in where it gets it's power. So mimic the cpu when you have it in Manual sport mode.

You shouldn’t be downshifting to first when you are going over 25 mph you will blow your engine going to your red line in your rpm it’s risky and most likely going to blow your engine one of these days if you continue to do that, you just need you get your 1st to 2nd gear at about 4000-5000 rpm for a good take of and you will feel that speed the same if you hit every gear shift perfect

Exactly that’s why Manuel mode used the cars hp more because you get to control the rpm’s pushing to a higher number causing more torque compared to the automatic which shifts to keep the rpm lower
