I consider the phantom Ruby to put Infinite in a state similar to that of Schrodinger's Cat: His cells are constantly dying and being reborn, making him dead and alive (and in agony) at the same time. He doesn't care about the pain. He just wants to be the Strongest being. He cannot be weak, he will no longer be weak. Eggman doesn't matter to him. His former teammates don't matter to him. Even the rookie doesn't matter to him. His goal alone is what matters. And he will commit xenocide on an OMNIVERSAL scale to ensure it. But the worst part is that it's uncertain if these thoughts are even his. The Phantom Ruby is flashing his mind through billions of possible mindsets, maddening and 'curing' him in milliseconds. This desire for power just seems to stick, due to his immense intergrity...such is the twisted mind of Infinite.
Very interesting. But why are his cells dying and regenerating? Do the cells die immediately after using their power, and then need to be replaced with regenerated cells?

honestly I was hoping Infinite would be the last boss... something that had multiple phases, but with only the Avatar fighting him. I almost wanted to see a fight where infinite lost control of the Phantom Ruby, and it actually became a destructive force that needed to be stopped. an almost world ending thing could have happened, it would have been a much better final boss :/
Wow,that could've been a great boss fight! Sadly,due to time constraints,it never became a reality. Hopefully the fan projects & mods will fix this in the future.
I think it would be better if in that type of battle, the Avatar is aided in the final battle against Infinite. Not just by Modern and Classic Sonic, but also by Sonic's friends and the rest of the Resistance.
Premise: Infinite is back, more powerful, and passionately pissed off. He summons the ultimate forms of previous bosses (Perfect Chaos, Metal Overlord, Super Shadow, etc.), and Sonic, Classic Sonic, and OC have to gather the Chaos Emeralds to fight them. Boss music: "Infinite (Orchestral Version)" Phase 1 (Classic Sonic): Perfect Chaos and an Egg-Carrier-wielding Zavok are up first. Chaos tries to hit you with his water tendril thingies (indicated by a marker that tracks his off-screen attacks) while Zavok fires the Egg Carrier's weapons from the background. Charge all the way through Chaos to get to Zavok, and take out the Egg Carrier. Phase 2 (OC): Metal Overlord and Super Shadow build there power. Metal uses attacks similar to the ones in Heroes, while Shadow plays defense similar to the Sonic and Diablon boss in "Shadow the Hedgehog". OC's attacks vary depending on the wispon equipped. Knock out Shadow to open up Metal to attack, then take them both out with a QTE homing attack. Phase 3 (Sonic): Infinite transports you all to Null Space for the final battle. A similar design to the Adventure 2 final boss, Infinite will employ attack from the previous bosses as well as warping around the screen and duplicating himself. Charge into him with your super homing attack until his health is depleted. Out of desperation, he once again summons a sun to throw at you, which you'll have to destroy with a full-power triple boost to deliver the final blow. With that, the Phantom Ruby shatters, and Infinite is no more.
Especially during the last minute and a half, I can really see this working for a fantastic final boss battle. One that would actually be difficult to beat. If only SEGA hadn't forgotten how to create fantastic gameplay. They need to meld Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Unleashed (or Generations, the most refined boost gameplay) in order to get the perfrct boost gameplay in my opinion. And it would be so simple to accomplish too.
Imagine what could've been...If we were to get an ENTIRE Ground-Up Sonic Forces remake, I would want it! I mean I would still want the whole "Eggman took over the world with the help of Infinite" story but retold in a better fashion.
I know everybody says Shadow = dark, and Sonic = upbeat/light, but I for one would love for Sonic himself to have a couple dozen dark secrets of his own. Infinite could dig up one or two of those secrets and make Sonic relive and confront them.
Sega can make a second version of Sonic Forces, like Sonic colors for Wii and DS(the DS version is better) Sonic generations for Xbox 360 and 3DS (the Xbox version is better) and Sonic lost world for Wii U and 3DS (i no see the two versions to know who is better)
This music is both epic and a bit sad at the same time. This song shows Infinite's rage and his goal to destroy Sonic and his friends. And it also shows his Sadness. The choice he made long ago. His Sadness resembles what he done. He joined Eggman but the cost for that was:letting his Jackal Squad die. His Squad was like friends. His Squad was like family.
I can imagine sonic talking to Infinite. This is what I believe he would say to infinite. Sonic: look at you. You're not even a person anymore. You're nothing but a soulless husk of your former self. Shadow was right. You are weak.

This just sounds more a little more epic and with more sadness and hopelessness than the soundtrack of the battle against Solaris. A fight against an almighty and everlasting being with no chances of victory, like everything is already lost. Proves that if infinite would have been perfectly executed he could have been the best villain, he had everything to be the best, but his poor execution and his pathetic backstory ruined him
Well, Super Sonic DLC is out and my hopes to have a Super Sonic VS a Powered Up Infinite battle are gone, but hopefully, we still have awesome people like you that make us keep our hopes up.
It should go like this. After defeating the death egg robot. The clones of Zavok, Shadow, Metal Sonic, and Chaos will disappear. The Resistance think they won. But after a short second, Infinite shows up. The Phantom Ruby Eggman used was yet another prototype and everyone didn't notice that. Infinite turned the entire world into Null Space. Then trapped Sonic, Tails, Classic Sonic, and the avatar into a bubble, executing them by draining their energy and health. Infinite was overpowered than ever. So he brainwashed everyone, even E-123 Omega (because he was so powerful he can do anything he wants.) He made the resistance and Eggman's army bow before him. All hope is lost, the Phantom Ruby has the entire universe and beyond in his hands leaving Sonic, Classic Sonic, Tails, and the avatar who are about to die anytime soon. Until Tikal appears. Giving Sonic and Classic Sonic to sense the Chaos Emeralds. They got their energy back and turned super and gave your avatar a forcefield (like the one in Sonic Heroes) They break the bubble and take on Infinite one last time.

I can imagine eggman popping up like normally but then infinite smacks him away then infinite takes modern sonic without a fanish into the phantom ruby then the final boss happens between sonic and infinite inside the phantom ruby or we shall call it the phantom realm

i think this should've happened: its actually quite interesting despite being long and i added a plot twist in here. (in this story classic sonic isnt included) after metroplitan highway when infinite throws you into null space and sonic and the avatar get out you pass the level of Null Space and Fist Bump sounds (that level was very epic omg) and when you get to Infinte again he throws you into null space again and this track sounds but this time he comes with you with the purpose of defeating you there and letting you die there. i'd make it a very hard boss to beat. infinite makes the giant sun and the avatar makes it dissapear with the prototype at imperial tower just like what happened on the actual story. then when you have the final fight with infinite he doesnt use Null Space anymore because he knows it wont work and we have the normal fight we had. I would've called it something like "Infinite final boss phase 1". After that, Eggman gives more energy to the phantom Ruby so infinite makes more copies of some characters like we see on the actual game (metal sonic, zavok, shadow and chaos) and we have a sequence where Infinite defeats us badly after fighting him. (just like when we fought him on mystic jungle) After seeing the thousands of copies we have a scene where the characters show up without hope, then tails and knuckles come up with an idea, they say "lets use the chaos emeralds" but instead of using them to bring super sonic, sonic says he cant do it alone now that infinite is more powerful than ever. And he asks some characters to fight infinite with him and each one with the power of a chaos emerald would use the chaos control strategically to defeat infinite. the characters with a chaos emerald would be Sonic, Silver, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy, Rouge and the Avatar. Sonic tells Tails to stay on the battle of thousands of copies vs the resistance (just like he told him to stay behind when he got thrown into null space for the first time), Tails filled with fear agrees. And now that Knuckles and Amy are gone Vector and team chaotix lead the battle of the Resistance. Meanwhile Tails tries to find a way to cut the power of the phantom ruby so that the seven characters can be able to defeat infinite. So he goes to metropolis and tries to find the power source (like eggman had said in the original story, he hid a power source under metropolis) and discovers that eggman had been giving more energy to the Phantom Ruby and PLOT TWIST! it was a lie. The real power source was a false Master Emerald made by eggman. He stole the idea from Tails in SA2 where tails makes a false chaos emerald. Tails surprised feels like its his resposibility and decides to fight Eggman all alone without even telling sonic about it nor asking for help. Eggman detects and intruder inside the power source of Metroplis so he goes there to prevent tails from destroying the fake master emerald. For this new battle, Eggman would be using the Death Egg Robot powered by a Phantom Ruby Prototype. Tails would defeat him epically and destroy the fake master emerald. And with this, the seven characters would finally defeat Infinite. After Infinite being defeated Eggman takes away the phantom ruby from him and he dissapears as he is dragged to the Imperial tower. Just like it happened in the story. And Eggman takes out the Mega Death Egg Robot desperalety since infinite has lost. He uses the MDER using only the original power of the phantom ruby since its the only energy he has left. Sonic decides he can take him out with only the help of the avatar and we have the final phase we had on the actual game but we defeat him with a double boost, not a triple boost since classic sonic isnt here. PHEW THAT WAS A LOT! Its just that this song inspired me so much. I came up with all the ideas as I wrote this. I changed many stuff but tried to stick with a lot of things of the actual story because i actually liked the ending of forces. A better boss would be instead of the death egg robot, it could be the phantom ruby overclocking. this would give it sentience, giving it life. This could make a really creative boss and It could even merge with infinite creating a boss that morphs forms and has crazy attack patterns. This could also be a boss fight where sonic gets a new form! The rookie has the prototype phantom ruby, imagine when the phantom ruby gains sentience it causes a chain reaction among the remaining phantom ruby prototypes overclocking the rubies and giving them crazy power a user can harness. This could give Sonic, classic sonic and the rookie a new form. It would similar to infinities power because he uses the ruby as a power source. Similar to the chaos emeralds sonic and co, Use the positive energy instead of the negative energy. It would be an epic boss fight for sure!

I had a thought after beating the game that I'd like to share in terms of a Phantom Infinite boss, so here it is. After being defeated by Sonic and his friends, Infinite questions how and why he lost to those loathsome pests, and it suddenly dawns on him why. Zero, his weaker self. Calling upon the full power of the Phantom Ruby, Infinite expels Zero from him and collapses. Zero looks at Infinite who begins laughing maniacally as the entire world starts to become engulfed in the Phantom Ruby's power. The Resistance now has to contend with evil versions of themselves as reality itself begins to warp, twist and crumble around them, as Infinite, no longer held back by Zero uses the full power of the Phantom Ruby to begin what could only be described as the end of all things, Armageddon. Sonic and company try to fight off Infinite, but are completely at his mercy as he sends Modern Sonic into a wall, and sends Classic back to his dimension. With only you standing against him, you give your all to stop this monster, but it isn't enough. Infinite beats you down, taunts you, and destroys your Wispon. He then grabs you by the throat and looks you in the eyes. "Don't worry." He says. "Your friends will join you soon enough..." Infinite is suddenly tackled by Zero, who screams for you and your friends to run. Shadow appears using Chaos Control and grabs you before vanishing as the Resistance flees from the fortress. As the Resistance regroups, they form a plan on how to defeat Infinite now. Only one answer comes to mind for everyone present. The Chaos Emeralds. However, there are some who doubt that the Emeralds will be enough to beat Infinite. And that's my idea.
This should’ve been the final infinite fight. All both sonics and your custom hero, fighting infinite at his full strength while the phantom ruby tries to manipulate reality to his will. Am I right?
Love how the beginning was a bit of null space or so i assume and this theme is way better then what we got in the game plus it was a shitty boss fight a copy and paste boss with a bit more challenge

Here’s how it would go if I made a final infinite boss fight for this theme Phase 1: (player’s character: classic sonic) infinite would begin the fight by floating to the platform you battle him on this phase on with the phantom ruby being over locked and his power being so much that Eggman can’t control it. As for infinites attacks he would start things off simply by just summoning those phantom ruby lines from his second battle and after a while of these he would fly into the air and dive down to strike you and after hitting the ground your able to land 2-3 blows on infinite before he returns to his original position. When he gets to half health on this phase he would start to grow more angrier then before and also creat those spinning phantom ruby things in the final bout but the cycle still repeats even with this new attack. Phase 2: (player’s character: the avatar) when the last blow is hit he would fall down to what appears to be the platform the custom hero reached to stop the sun from hitting the resistance. Infinite would be more furious then before and he would say something like “I’m getting sick and tired of this child’s play!” Or something similar along with his health resetting back to full.Though he has the same attacks as in the last phase, he would add some phantom ruby saw blades that appear on the platform your on, charge up, aim, and then charge at you to attack. I when he gets to half health here the phantom ruby would be starting to go out of control and create the even more illusions such as phantom ruby egg pawns which fire ammo of phantom ruby bullets so those still cause illusions. Along with the egg pawn spawning, he would also strike the ground more then once along with shockwaves appearing after each strike he lands on the platform and he is only able to be hit after he does the final strike of that attack. Phase 3: (player’s character: sonic) once infinite’s health hits zero against the custom hero, he will appear to no longer be able to control the phantom ruby and he would warp continuously until he teleports into mortar canyon. Sonic would then jump down from the sky and land in front of infinite with infinite scolding sonic before the phase begins. Same attacks as usual for infinite but this phase will play out like his final showdown fight in mortar canyon but he would now be able to dash at sonic with the Ruby’s power making him stronger and faster. Once at half health he will instantly change the area to a mixture of mortar canyon and null space and be able to create blockades using the particles of null space to block sonic and slow him down a bit that way he can reach the end of the stage and fly away leaving sonic to drown in the illusion wave. But we know sonic will be able to beat infinite in this phase either way. Phase 4: (player’s character: sonic, classic sonic, avatar) After the final blow in mortar canyon the phantom ruby shall be fully out of control and start to corrupt infinite. Once he is corrupted he would appear as 1 of those infinite creations from metropolis but with more phantom ruby particles like more arms and heads. Tails would communicate to you that the phantom ruby has grown way to powerful and they must retreat, but like we know they stay and fight. As they fight they get transported to a place that’s a huge mixture of null spaces and all the world, showing that when infinite defeats them, everything shall be devoured by null space. In this phase infinite gets all new attacks such as that laser attack the death egg robot had in his final phase. Corrupted infinite would also have phantom ruby homing rockets that can sense what lane your in until it is launched then you can move lanes to dodge it. Infinite would also have a rare chance of having one of his hands slam down onto the platform your running on which his hand covers 2 lanes b it these lands include the left or right lane along with the middle leaving the opposite lane to be a safe zone to dodge the attack. When it comes to the final blow the gang would at first lose gravity with infinites power, but then tails and the gang would be on a close enough mountain in a cutscene that will play in the fight. The resistance will Throw the group the seven chaos emeralds (won’t ask where they got them) and the gane would then use the power there given to then turn into there super forms along with the avatar. They would then dash at the Corrupted infinite and burst right through his main head with the corrupted monstrosity falling apart and being destroyed, ending the boss fight. Hopefully you all like this

I really wanted to see the Phantom Ruby and Chaos Emeralds collide. I just wanted to play a full 3D sonic game that was kinda open world, was super dark and had long levels and super amazing gameplay

I consider the phantom Ruby to put Infinite in a state similar to that of Schrodinger's Cat: His cells are constantly dying and being reborn, making him dead and alive (and in agony) at the same time. He doesn't care about the pain. He just wants to be the Strongest being. He cannot be weak, he will no longer be weak. Eggman doesn't matter to him. His former teammates don't matter to him. Even the rookie doesn't matter to him. His goal alone is what matters. And he will commit xenocide on an OMNIVERSAL scale to ensure it.
But the worst part is that it's uncertain if these thoughts are even his. The Phantom Ruby is flashing his mind through billions of possible mindsets, maddening and 'curing' him in milliseconds. This desire for power just seems to stick, due to his immense intergrity...such is the twisted mind of Infinite.
I strongly like this analysis, hypothesis, and proposition.

honestly I was hoping Infinite would be the last boss... something that had multiple phases, but with only the Avatar fighting him. I almost wanted to see a fight where infinite lost control of the Phantom Ruby, and it actually became a destructive force that needed to be stopped. an almost world ending thing could have happened, it would have been a much better final boss :/

I think it would be better if in that type of battle, the Avatar is aided in the final battle against Infinite. Not just by Modern and Classic Sonic, but also by Sonic's friends and the rest of the Resistance.

Premise: Infinite is back, more powerful, and passionately pissed off. He summons the ultimate forms of previous bosses (Perfect Chaos, Metal Overlord, Super Shadow, etc.), and Sonic, Classic Sonic, and OC have to gather the Chaos Emeralds to fight them.
Boss music: "Infinite (Orchestral Version)"
Phase 1 (Classic Sonic): Perfect Chaos and an Egg-Carrier-wielding Zavok are up first. Chaos tries to hit you with his water tendril thingies (indicated by a marker that tracks his off-screen attacks) while Zavok fires the Egg Carrier's weapons from the background. Charge all the way through Chaos to get to Zavok, and take out the Egg Carrier.
Phase 2 (OC): Metal Overlord and Super Shadow build there power. Metal uses attacks similar to the ones in Heroes, while Shadow plays defense similar to the Sonic and Diablon boss in "Shadow the Hedgehog". OC's attacks vary depending on the wispon equipped. Knock out Shadow to open up Metal to attack, then take them both out with a QTE homing attack.
Phase 3 (Sonic): Infinite transports you all to Null Space for the final battle. A similar design to the Adventure 2 final boss, Infinite will employ attack from the previous bosses as well as warping around the screen and duplicating himself. Charge into him with your super homing attack until his health is depleted. Out of desperation, he once again summons a sun to throw at you, which you'll have to destroy with a full-power triple boost to deliver the final blow. With that, the Phantom Ruby shatters, and Infinite is no more.

Especially during the last minute and a half, I can really see this working for a fantastic final boss battle. One that would actually be difficult to beat.
If only SEGA hadn't forgotten how to create fantastic gameplay. They need to meld Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Unleashed (or Generations, the most refined boost gameplay) in order to get the perfrct boost gameplay in my opinion. And it would be so simple to accomplish too.
Imagine what could've been...If we were to get an ENTIRE Ground-Up Sonic Forces remake, I would want it!

This music is both epic and a bit sad at the same time. This song shows Infinite's rage and his goal to destroy Sonic and his friends. And it also shows his Sadness. The choice he made long ago. His Sadness resembles what he done. He joined Eggman but the cost for that was:letting his Jackal Squad die. His Squad was like friends. His Squad was like family.

This just sounds more a little more epic and with more sadness and hopelessness than the soundtrack of the battle against Solaris. A fight against an almighty and everlasting being with no chances of victory, like everything is already lost. Proves that if infinite would have been perfectly executed he could have been the best villain, he had everything to be the best, but his poor execution and his pathetic backstory ruined him
Infinite is so much like the original DBZ Broly, He is so badass but his backstory makes him look like a little baby.
While Infinite may be weak, this track is definitely powerful.

It should go like this.
After defeating the death egg robot. The clones of Zavok, Shadow, Metal Sonic, and Chaos will disappear. The Resistance think they won. But after a short second, Infinite shows up. The Phantom Ruby Eggman used was yet another prototype and everyone didn't notice that. Infinite turned the entire world into Null Space. Then trapped Sonic, Tails, Classic Sonic, and the avatar into a bubble, executing them by draining their energy and health. Infinite was overpowered than ever. So he brainwashed everyone, even E-123 Omega (because he was so powerful he can do anything he wants.) He made the resistance and Eggman's army bow before him. All hope is lost, the Phantom Ruby has the entire universe and beyond in his hands leaving Sonic, Classic Sonic, Tails, and the avatar who are about to die anytime soon. Until Tikal appears. Giving Sonic and Classic Sonic to sense the Chaos Emeralds. They got their energy back and turned super and gave your avatar a forcefield (like the one in Sonic Heroes) They break the bubble and take on Infinite one last time.
Final Boss quotes:
Infinite: Everyone will yield to the Phantom Ruby. All will submit to ME!!
Sonic: You took away all of our freedom. Now to take it back!
Tails: You've done enough damage, Infinite! We will win and that is final!!

If this became an actual boss, it should be the true final boss, and both Sonics and the rookie would go into super form
i think this should've happened: its actually quite interesting despite being long and i added a plot twist in here. (in this story classic sonic isnt included)
after metroplitan highway when infinite throws you into null space and sonic and the avatar get out you pass the level of Null Space and Fist Bump sounds (that level was very epic omg) and when you get to Infinte again he throws you into null space again and this track sounds but this time he comes with you with the purpose of defeating you there and letting you die there. i'd make it a very hard boss to beat.
infinite makes the giant sun and the avatar makes it dissapear with the prototype at imperial tower just like what happened on the actual story.
then when you have the final fight with infinite he doesnt use Null Space anymore because he knows it wont work and we have the normal fight we had. I would've called it something like "Infinite final boss phase 1".
After that, Eggman gives more energy to the phantom Ruby so infinite makes more copies of some characters like we see on the actual game (metal sonic, zavok, shadow and chaos) and we have a sequence where Infinite defeats us badly after fighting him. (just like when we fought him on mystic jungle)
After seeing the thousands of copies we have a scene where the characters show up without hope, then tails and knuckles come up with an idea, they say "lets use the chaos emeralds" but instead of using them to bring super sonic, sonic says he cant do it alone now that infinite is more powerful than ever. And he asks some characters to fight infinite with him and each one with the power of a chaos emerald would use the chaos control strategically to defeat infinite. the characters with a chaos emerald would be Sonic, Silver, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy, Rouge and the Avatar.
Sonic tells Tails to stay on the battle of thousands of copies vs the resistance (just like he told him to stay behind when he got thrown into null space for the first time), Tails filled with fear agrees. And now that Knuckles and Amy are gone Vector and team chaotix lead the battle of the Resistance.
Meanwhile Tails tries to find a way to cut the power of the phantom ruby so that the seven characters can be able to defeat infinite. So he goes to metropolis and tries to find the power source (like eggman had said in the original story, he hid a power source under metropolis) and discovers that eggman had been giving more energy to the Phantom Ruby and PLOT TWIST! it was a lie. The real power source was a false Master Emerald made by eggman. He stole the idea from Tails in SA2 where tails makes a false chaos emerald.
Tails surprised feels like its his resposibility and decides to fight Eggman all alone without even telling sonic about it nor asking for help. Eggman detects and intruder inside the power source of Metroplis so he goes there to prevent tails from destroying the fake master emerald. For this new battle, Eggman would be using the Death Egg Robot powered by a Phantom Ruby Prototype. Tails would defeat him epically and destroy the fake master emerald. And with this, the seven characters would finally defeat Infinite.
After Infinite being defeated Eggman takes away the phantom ruby from him and he dissapears as he is dragged to the Imperial tower. Just like it happened in the story. And Eggman takes out the Mega Death Egg Robot desperalety since infinite has lost. He uses the MDER using only the original power of the phantom ruby since its the only energy he has left. Sonic decides he can take him out with only the help of the avatar and we have the final phase we had on the actual game but we defeat him with a double boost, not a triple boost since classic sonic isnt here.
PHEW THAT WAS A LOT! Its just that this song inspired me so much. I came up with all the ideas as I wrote this. I changed many stuff but tried to stick with a lot of things of the actual story because i actually liked the ending of forces.

A better boss would be instead of the death egg robot, it could be the phantom ruby overclocking. this would give it sentience, giving it life. This could make a really creative boss and It could even merge with infinite creating a boss that morphs forms and has crazy attack patterns. This could also be a boss fight where sonic gets a new form! The rookie has the prototype phantom ruby, imagine when the phantom ruby gains sentience it causes a chain reaction among the remaining phantom ruby prototypes overclocking the rubies and giving them crazy power a user can harness. This could give Sonic, classic sonic and the rookie a new form. It would similar to infinities power because he uses the ruby as a power source. Similar to the chaos emeralds sonic and co, Use the positive energy instead of the negative energy. It would be an epic boss fight for sure!

Infinite: CALL ME WEAK AGAIN, I DARE YOU!
I had a thought after beating the game that I'd like to share in terms of a Phantom Infinite boss, so here it is.
After being defeated by Sonic and his friends, Infinite questions how and why he lost to those loathsome pests, and it suddenly dawns on him why. Zero, his weaker self. Calling upon the full power of the Phantom Ruby, Infinite expels Zero from him and collapses. Zero looks at Infinite who begins laughing maniacally as the entire world starts to become engulfed in the Phantom Ruby's power.
The Resistance now has to contend with evil versions of themselves as reality itself begins to warp, twist and crumble around them, as Infinite, no longer held back by Zero uses the full power of the Phantom Ruby to begin what could only be described as the end of all things, Armageddon.
Sonic and company try to fight off Infinite, but are completely at his mercy as he sends Modern Sonic into a wall, and sends Classic back to his dimension.
With only you standing against him, you give your all to stop this monster, but it isn't enough. Infinite beats you down, taunts you, and destroys your Wispon. He then grabs you by the throat and looks you in the eyes. "Don't worry." He says. "Your friends will join you soon enough..."
Infinite is suddenly tackled by Zero, who screams for you and your friends to run.
Shadow appears using Chaos Control and grabs you before vanishing as the Resistance flees from the fortress.
As the Resistance regroups, they form a plan on how to defeat Infinite now. Only one answer comes to mind for everyone present. The Chaos Emeralds.
However, there are some who doubt that the Emeralds will be enough to beat Infinite.
And that's my idea.

Love how the beginning was a bit of null space or so i assume and this theme is way better then what we got in the game plus it was a shitty boss fight a copy and paste boss with a bit more challenge
I'd argue that even colours rendition of the Nega Wisp Armor was harder than Forces, because it actually required minimal input

Here’s how it would go if I made a final infinite boss fight for this theme
Phase 1: (player’s character: classic sonic)
infinite would begin the fight by floating to the platform you battle him on this phase on with the phantom ruby being over locked and his power being so much that Eggman can’t control it. As for infinites attacks he would start things off simply by just summoning those phantom ruby lines from his second battle and after a while of these he would fly into the air and dive down to strike you and after hitting the ground your able to land 2-3 blows on infinite before he returns to his original position. When he gets to half health on this phase he would start to grow more angrier then before and also creat those spinning phantom ruby things in the final bout but the cycle still repeats even with this new attack.
Phase 2: (player’s character: the avatar)
when the last blow is hit he would fall down to what appears to be the platform the custom hero reached to stop the sun from hitting the resistance. Infinite would be more furious then before and he would say something like “I’m getting sick and tired of this child’s play!” Or something similar along with his health resetting back to full.Though he has the same attacks as in the last phase, he would add some phantom ruby saw blades that appear on the platform your on, charge up, aim, and then charge at you to attack. I when he gets to half health here the phantom ruby would be starting to go out of control and create the even more illusions such as phantom ruby egg pawns which fire ammo of phantom ruby bullets so those still cause illusions. Along with the egg pawn spawning, he would also strike the ground more then once along with shockwaves appearing after each strike he lands on the platform and he is only able to be hit after he does the final strike of that attack.
Phase 3: (player’s character: sonic)
once infinite’s health hits zero against the custom hero, he will appear to no longer be able to control the phantom ruby and he would warp continuously until he teleports into mortar canyon. Sonic would then jump down from the sky and land in front of infinite with infinite scolding sonic before the phase begins. Same attacks as usual for infinite but this phase will play out like his final showdown fight in mortar canyon but he would now be able to dash at sonic with the Ruby’s power making him stronger and faster. Once at half health he will instantly change the area to a mixture of mortar canyon and null space and be able to create blockades using the particles of null space to block sonic and slow him down a bit that way he can reach the end of the stage and fly away leaving sonic to drown in the illusion wave. But we know sonic will be able to beat infinite in this phase either way.
Phase 4: (player’s character: sonic, classic sonic, avatar)
After the final blow in mortar canyon the phantom ruby shall be fully out of control and start to corrupt infinite. Once he is corrupted he would appear as 1 of those infinite creations from metropolis but with more phantom ruby particles like more arms and heads. Tails would communicate to you that the phantom ruby has grown way to powerful and they must retreat, but like we know they stay and fight. As they fight they get transported to a place that’s a huge mixture of null spaces and all the world, showing that when infinite defeats them, everything shall be devoured by null space. In this phase infinite gets all new attacks such as that laser attack the death egg robot had in his final phase. Corrupted infinite would also have phantom ruby homing rockets that can sense what lane your in until it is launched then you can move lanes to dodge it. Infinite would also have a rare chance of having one of his hands slam down onto the platform your running on which his hand covers 2 lanes b it these lands include the left or right lane along with the middle leaving the opposite lane to be a safe zone to dodge the attack. When it comes to the final blow the gang would at first lose gravity with infinites power, but then tails and the gang would be on a close enough mountain in a cutscene that will play in the fight. The resistance will Throw the group the seven chaos emeralds (won’t ask where they got them) and the gane would then use the power there given to then turn into there super forms along with the avatar. They would then dash at the Corrupted infinite and burst right through his main head with the corrupted monstrosity falling apart and being destroyed, ending the boss fight.

I really wanted to see the Phantom Ruby and Chaos Emeralds collide. I just wanted to play a full 3D sonic game that was kinda open world, was super dark and had long levels and super amazing gameplay
I would’ve loved to see a “Super Sonic VS Phantom Infinite” Final Boss instead of a phantom ruby boosted death egg robot.
