The best Infinite boss theme I EVER heard. And FINALLY, the ultimate challenge. This theme is epic, outstanding, dark and gives the battle much epic and dynamic. Too bad Infinite is not the final boss. It was my dream and wish in this game.
It's a bit of a shame this was basically a recycled fight vs Metal Sonic, but as the sonic levels continue into the story, you get the sensation that the developers were facing crunch time and so things had to be shortened and re-used.
@@sweetoil2952 It's developing wise true, too - Infinite was originally the boss who had that battle, but because of some development rush, they reused this battle in Metal Sonic's battle
@Casswury The last "real" stage with any heart in it is the Rookie's final stage where they climb the tower. Using the electric whispon is my personal favorite "canon" way to do that mission.
I learned these helpful tips. 1. Use the drill wisp and drill into him when he is standing there and not doing anything. 2. You can drill into him while he does his drill attack if you avoid the blast he sends out. That's the only way you're going to beat stage 27 in 135 seconds.

I am bloody hooked on this thing It's so many levels of great and I don't even associate it with "Infinite" at all really Like, what's the logical conclusion from the first two tracks? An even more intense banger? Nope, it's this. Rewatched the fight after getting hooked and...it sucked. Like it was a tech demo and someone decided to play this over it because they had to publish it soon. It's almost as if they had this lying around and just decided to shove it into Infinite's battle because honestly, the first time I heard it, it sounded so irrelevant and dare-I-say generic that I just didn't really appreciate it. I hope to make music of this calibre at some point in the future EDIT: found ONE leitmotif, it's the bassline in the first half which is the guitar thing you can hear in the first two
Every boss level has attained the S rank on hard difficulty above 2.3 million points! Infinite is truly defeated, episode shadow 100% completed. It's over Eggman.
With all the music, the tension and plot Infinite bring. His final fight is... Dissapointing. Not even the final boss, and down pretty easily. I think that's the first time Sonic doesn't even need his super form to resolve the plot of a main game ?
Just when I thought that guy's music couldn't get anymore intimidating.

It would have been cool if the Infinite final boss fight had 2 phases, with this playing in the first phase and Fist Bump in the second.
2:28 best part
Agreed. Too bad it's basically the ending of the theme
Infinite seemed like a metal sonic reskin the third time we fought him, he just isn't final boss material.

Close enough

Legion Beast Yeah. It’s pretty sad that it’s that noticeable. The further you get into the game, the worse it gets.
