I mentioned back in the Death Match video description that there were 2 forms for our Medley Song Madness event this year: a public one that was posted here and another Patreon exclusive form that had 2 extra categories for NES Medley(s) and all other medleys combined (ie. Genesis, Game Boy, GaMedley, etc). Death Match won the NES Medley vote, and Stardust Speedway (Bad Future JP) won the other/misc medley vote.
For this arrangements, I've combined elements from several versions of Stardust Speedway Bad Future JP including the original (CD), Mania, and Generations.

I loved how this wasn't *JUST* a cover of the original Bad Future track, but also the Mania variation. Along with a little hint of Good Future.
He did that with the Cannonball remix too! Sent chills up my spine!
This is such an earworm of a song. Stardust Speedway Bad Future is just an iconic track, one of my personal favorites. This is an amazing cover of it, and I enjoy the focus on the Mania version - such a good take on it.

Something I've always loved about your covers is the attention to detail, and respect you have with the song's original structure and stylistic flourishes. The fact that all the record scratches, drum snares, nearly identical sounding "hey!" samples, hell even the multiple motifs stardust speedway bad future has had over the years goes to show how much care you've put into these songs! It's pretty much the reason why you're my favorite metal cover artist on this platform!

Stardust Speedway is one of the best songs to ever come out of the Sonic series, and you absolutely did justice to it with this cover. The way you mixed all the different versions together is incredible

As another commenter pointed out, he didn't include the Sonic 4 version, but no one's really broken up about that.

This was the fastest that I've ever clicked on a RUclips thumbnail. And let me tell you: this is hands down the *_best_* version of Stardust Speedway that I've ever heard. Not just Stardust Speedway Bad Future, not just Stardust Speedway JP, but any version of Stardust Speedway, period.

This is how it felt fighting him for the first time in CD. It's also cool to see the other remixes of the theme all combined into one.
I also enjoyed the small cover of What I'm Made Of at the end. It's probably my favorite Crush 40 song.

Y'know, I always thought it was odd how little the original song fit the setting. Like you're in a dystopian future, racing your robotic doppelgänger to save a little girl from a mad genius... and it's a funky, piano-heavy song. This remix, though? The energy levels are through the ROOF and it's PERFECT
Such an iconic Sonic song and Jonny, as always, manages to make it an even more incredible banger.

It’s actually SO COOL seeing all the versions of the Japanese stardust speedway race mixed into one song, with their slight variations it’s amazing! Great composition and rockin song!

This has everything I want out of a Stardust Speedway remix. It even has the Present timeline sprinkled in which didn’t know I wanted until now.
I've been waiting so many years, but it's finally here. Listening to this was truly incredible, one of the best gametal covers out there.

When I was a kid, Sonic CD was the first Sonic game I ever had. Mine was a PC version, and our old Windows 98 PC didn’t run it at full speed. I was only used to Mario games, so I didn’t even notice. It just felt like a regular platformer with absolutely massive levels to explore.
Well, the furthest I ever managed to get was this level here. Because the game ran at a slowed-down speed, I didn’t realize it was supposed to be a race. I tried damaging Metal Sonic, didn’t work. I tried attacking Eggman, obviously that didn’t work. Metal Sonic attacked me if I got too far ahead, so I thought the challenge was to try and stay beneath the two and it was a survival challenge like in Quartz Quadrant. That only got me killed at the first big vertical slope because I didn’t have the momentum to go up it and I didn’t want to risk a Spin Dash or Peel Out and get killed by Metal Sonic anyways.
Took me until years later, playing the game on Sonic Gems Collection before my older self finally realized what the game wanted me to do.
(Plus, it was so weird to play a Sonic game at proper speed. My family’s ancient PC didn’t play Sonic CD full-speed, and also couldn’t do Sonic & Knuckles collection full-speed either. And before anybody asks, my childhood wall at those games were the Carnival Night barrel and the ghost level for Sandopolis.)

Huh, I would have thought that's gonna be What I'm Made of... Not that I'm complaining though, because this slaps!
I know a lot of people didn't like Sonic CD that much, but I love it! The race against Metal Sonic is also such a cool concept, way more fitting than a straight forward battle.
And the JP OST for this game is just sooo good! The US soundtrack isn't bad, but this is where it's really at!
And yeah, this remix is amazing! Love it!
