Man, seeing her makes me so angry lmao. It just reminds me of just how bad her betrayal was. Ruyi was so kind to her, much kinder than I'm sure the other women were with their maids for the most part. Like she even made sure they had special outfits to change into. Worst Ruyi did to that girl was tell her to humble herself and not be so open about certain things, and that's not even bad of Ruyi to tell her lol.

It's just me or my eyes weren't lying. I saw similarities of Consort Hua and Empress Yixiu from Zhen Huan in this empress. Consort Hua was always jealous and acted like an empress. She schemed and put many concubines by her side. She always checked record books to see who was pampered concubine frequenly visited by the emperor.
Yea but the difference is consort hua had the whole harem scared of her.. I like hua more too even though she was evil the actress had a swagger to let everyone know she was in charge.. this empress doesn’t have that kind of confidence plus she whines a lot
In my mind, I pretend that when Ruyi becomes empress and qianlong doesn't grow that awful mustache and lust after others, the series ends. I want to slap him into oblivion..

Wallace Huo. He’s also an admirable person in the world of actors. No romantic scandals and he held a burning torch for 10 years for his wife (who was dating someone else) but she finally fell for him and married him. They’re happily married, with a daughter. His character is such that while filming this series, he’d burst into tears at the end of some scenes where he was mean to Ruyi. It affected him so much even though he knew it’s make believe.

I think Ruyi pulls people in too, but less cuz of her looks (shes pretty, dont get me wrong), and more so because of her personality and how she speaks. I find her voice very soothing, she could be a narrator for books and stuff. 🤗 and Ruyi's love for the Emperor was so strong, her love for him, made him more desirable I think, even to the other concubines. They were quick to be jealous over Ruyi, because they knew Ruyi is the only one who TRULY held the Emperors heart. That's a powerful leading woman right there
