I have the anamorphic lens but what app is compatible? I have the DJI OM5 gimbal and the DJI app to record but when I use the lens it looks wonky. The lens and case it came with are aligned correctly so I’m lost can anyone help?
@@craigkabrhel I think that might just be an issue with iPhone...? I have the 13mini and I don't have any Moment lenses or filters and there's weird lens flares and reflections when I point my camera at or near a light source at certain angles. @@Kshitijj, in the Moment app, there is a selection of which lens you want to use for the iP13 (on the lower right side in portrait mode and/or on upper right side in landscape mode) and then on the top right side in portrait mode and/or on top left side in landscape mode), you press on the lens icon of your choosing, in this case would be anamorphic. In the settings (3 lines icon), you want to click on “apply de-squeeze to saved file” and you should be good to go.

The 58mm on the new x3 tele it’s what I’m more excited about, Apple it’s a little bit behind with their tele lenses. People always talk about how it’s good for portraits but it’s basically fundamental in ANY kind of photography
Footage looks so spicy 💥 HDR is also rly impressive considering the harsh sun on one side vs dark shadows on the other. It would be rly difficult to get that same balanced look right out of the camera on a DSLR.
Im planning on buying the 58mm for the main wide camera. Could you please make a side by side comparison with only the main wide vs 58mm on main wide? On the outside under natural lights. I am really curious about the depth of field differences. Thanks in advance!

58 lens over 3x on my new iPhone 13 pro is something I was VERY interested in, however, it looks really soft and not sharp. I know this was a fast and dirty test. Is the final iteration going to be sharp?
Yeah same here:(. I hope it is sharp as well. If you could EDC the lens with the phone you would get the focal lengths of 13mm, 26mm, 58mm, 77mm and about 160mm. You arguably get a more versatile zoom range than the rx100vii (13mm vs 24mm at the widest), and more bokeh at 26mm. I never cared about zoom at all until I fell in love with compression and noticed that I live in an area where I could really use anything to make my photos more interesting lol.
How far away from the mirror are you? I love the bokeh but I wonder if it will work for a talking head shot at an arms length away. Do you need to be far away to get a usable shot? Is your 58mm over the regular iPhone lens or the wide lens in the mirror shot?
When am i gonna be able to use my iPhone 13 with the lenses i bought while Moment keep on pushing the drop in plastic lens mount on delay since December? Also people saying it’s quite easy to get this thing broke while you trying to mount the lens on it while some says it’s not fit perfectly sometimes. I was so happy when i was using iPhone 7 with the super durable case and the lens is awesome! Make a better case Moment!!! Your stuff ain’t cheap though!!!!

Unfortunately, I ordered the new moment case for the new iPhone 13 pro max just to be able to use my anamorphic lens, to discover that it doesn’t come with the adaptor and I have to order it separately which doesn’t come straight away, it will be shipped 5th of December. Now it makes me think, why did I make the purchase in the first place . I had to buy a case to protect the phone and to buy another phone rig to be able to use the moment lens I have. I feel I have just wasted money
I would really like if I could continue to use my Moment lens over the new Peak Design Mobile case - that will be the best of both worlds. These 2 companies have different business focus so I don’t suppose it will kill each other’s main stream revenue.
Really disappointed with the tele lens on the 3x iphone lens. Having that option with sharp video would add a very valuable angle for a variety of use cases. iPhone cinematography is really missing those high zoom ranges and personally would make me use an iphone exclusively over a dslr or mirrorless camera since I prefer convenience and lightweight gear. Edit: im curious if we will ever see another zoom lens that would be made specifically for the 3x iphone lens?

The 58 is the best lens you make, just a hair better than the anamorphic. That looked amazing on the 1.5.

I've been doing quality tests with my 13 pro max ever since I got it, it's amazing and I can't wait to get some Moment glass in front of it.

Moment 18mm on native Tele will give you an Anamorphic picture just without oval boke and flares.
