In this Tutorial i`ll show you how to make a DJ set over Facebook Live Video with a perfect sound (MONO - which is ok for Live Videos). Music recording with an external Soundcard.

great vid..i use the fentronix attenuator along with a rode sc4 adapter. i also have the iRig2 as well both work great.

in your experience, would using the booth for listening and the master for the live stream work? I don't want to have to get a splitter...I purchased one of those line our cables for my phone.

Note...you don't actually need the iRig or a "soundcard" for the phone. You just need a trs to trrs adaptor. If you notice the iRig in this video, the end that goes into the phone has 3 rings on it. This is the trrs end. The end with 2 rings is the trs end. As long as you have a cable with both trs and trrs ends, that cable will work fine in place of the iRig or "soundcard". Trs to trrs adaptors are about $15 USD on Amazon, best buy, etc.

it's not working. i've tried it with the rode sc4 adapter going to belkin rockstar audio to lightning adapter. the iphone doesn't recognize the audio input, still displays the headphone sign (output).
I appreciate you both for your good advice. The irig in this video is $6.99 on Amazon right now, even cheaper than the trs and trrs. I will try them both.
@@kaipflaume2148 I was told to buy an attenuator for this set up, pretty cheap. I'm trying to get this set up
that will be mono.. which can be alright sometimes.. but mine isnt working. My android just keeps using its internal mic, not the trrs.. at least it has 3 rings, not sure if its the right one ..

It's works great with my Pioneer SX2, you just need a RCA cable and Irig for it, no need for the splitter for the sx2!

What kind of divisor cable from your mixer you use? The cable with two entrances, one to the speaker and other for the irig, you use one normal divisor? Is it works good?
Thank you so much! I have been wanting to livestream music that I do here at home for a long time but have not been successful in my attempts to get decent sound. I have been relying on my webcam and the microphone built into my desktop, and the ambient noise makes it where I don't want to share it yet. The ideal would be to send video from my webcam and audio (if this works for me--haven't tried it yet) from my iPhone because the webcam video is much more forgiving on my appearance. Okay, enough of my blethering. I will try this and get back to you with how it worked for me and will definitely follow you on all the places. Thanks again!

The Transporter Du musst natürlich mit zwei Kabeln LR in den irig und dann nimm kurz was auf und Check mit dem Kopfhörer ob es Stereo ist und Bass aufgenommen hat;-) good luck Amigo

i don`t use a microphone, I use iRig which works like an external Soundcard/Microphone ;-)

UPDATE: the signal you`re getting out with iRig is Mono. If you wan`t to have a stereo signal, you need to buy a different gear which allows you to add stereo signal to your mobile Phone.
Hi guys, during some changes at Facebook, i use a Streaming software to get better results now. Facebook reduces the upload quality dramatic. The sound is clear but with almost no bass. If you wan`t a better sound, you can try a software called Switcher. i use it now and have some more cameras involved too. I wanted to know what Switcher Software you're using. I googled Switcher and I found a couple of options.
1) livestream.com/studio/software
2) recolive.com/en/
3) switcherstudio.com/
I also found this little gadget "Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Adaptor" I think will also work great with doing Live Djing Mixes.
I haven't bought it or used it but I think I'll be getting it soon. Any thoughts?

it`s switcher Studio ;-) And if you wan`t to habe true stereo sound you need to buy an iRig Pro or a similar Soundcard which provides a Stereo input;-)

Question & suggestion
If I use the iRig and a splitter I can use of the the outgoing splits, leaving the mixer from the master, for a recorder and the other for the phone. Then you can use the booth out for your monitor. This would allow you to use the video and audio files on iMovie or Final Cut as well. I appreciate you taking the time to make this. I'll check out that iRig!

Hi, thanks for the upload - I'm really struggling with sound quality - I've got the irig set up to my ddj sr, it's all working fine but when I'm live it sounds like someone keeps turning a tweeter on and off. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I'm streaming via periscope- thanks
Please list what I would need for my laptop: The video shows a chinch splutter (size?), a microphone (size) ?, an iRig HD. Is this correct? What kind of adapter to plug into my laptop and my iPhone? Thx
Good tutorial. Question. My phone has a lightning cable and not a jack input, will the set up still work if I have to plug in to a jack/lightning adaptor which plugs in to my phone?
Hi Dave, then you can try if your Lightning adapter works without the irig ;-) it depends on which iPhone you own. Try this first before buying an irig. You can also check my newer video for stereo sound. Just check my videos. Best Max

If your laptop sounds good on headphones, your setup should be fine without any other changes. As long as you don't need to connect a microphone or other instruments.
