First time streamers be sure to tweak your output settings (resolution, bitrate, etc.) so you have a stable stream with no dropped frames. OBS has a huge community of helpful people with lots of tutorials to make sure your viewers get to see and hear the best of your performance.
@@magikgee3066 little bit of trial and error. first I'd say check your upload speed and set the bitrate to about half that. 30 fps 720p is fine, 1080p60 would be the top end if you have the bandwidth. 320 kbps for audio. I'll dig into it! My question is how do you set up audio where you can speak into a mic without it picking up the music from your monitors? I know you can directly stream the music from mixer to computer, but when you speak into the mic, wouldn't it create an echo effect on the listener's side (hearing music pumped from mixer and then background music from monitors as you're talking)? Regarding today's topic for those who are using Windows and Android, I am using for connecting the Android phone as a webcam to the PC a software called Iriun Webcam, it works great only with the Wi Fi connection (no cables needed) and it supports up to 4k resolution, the software is basically free, they add a small logo on the right corner of the screen and if you want to remove the logo it will cost you around 5 Euro, the rest of the setup is the same, OBS for streaming and a external sound card for capturing the sound from my Denon DJ Prime 4

Aside from being a DJ and Music Producer, I'm also a game streamer and I wanna share some more few tips for my fellow DJs who are new to streaming: - The Facebook Live algorithm is pretty wonky and if detected a certain licensed/copyrighted song, it will stop your stream unlike other platforms like RUclips or Twitch. The best way to stream via Facebook Live is with your speakers (even though that's not highly recommended.) Your mileage may vary for some other countries. Otherwise, stream your sets on Twitch or RUclips. - You can also spice up your stream with some chatbox and alerts with Streamlabs (you can still use those widgets with your existing OBS setup without moving to Streamlabs OBS.) - And for Android users out there who are looking something similar to OBS Camera for iOS, you can use DroidCam (paid app, but supports both wired and wireless.) These tips might already be already given by somebody in this thread but it's still the thought that counts to help fellow DJs rocking at their houses! Kudos to LL for the great video on how to get started.

in Obs there's a plugin called win capture audio it will separate the audio tracks from cue to master (i.e master set to realtek speakers , cue set to line - *dj model*) the gist is you can transform your pc audio into a virtual soundcard for streaming and you can manage every audio outputting program in it i.e rekordbox - audio a discord - audio b etc..

You can even multi-stream to various platforms and there's a remote app! Thanks for the awesome content as always Luke! 🙌🏽
For those of us who use Android (Samsung, LG, Google, etc. ), you can stream audio using a USB TYPE C to USB TYPE A adapter to connect a audio interface via the USB cable. And it should work. Make sure your phone is fully charged before streaming. DO NOT use a TRRS to TRS adapter. They don't work anymore with newer phones.
Heres what I'm doing, (Im a musician and a DJ, drummer, guitarist, etc) so I have a separate mixer that all my microphones run into and then I run the output into the iRig setup thing. (You can also plug a mic into the mic port on your DJ mixer) Through my main mixer, I can still have monitor outputs for my headphones, and when I'm DJ'ing, I use the headphone output on my controller. You can also set levels with an external mixer that's why I recommend it, and EQ of course. Keep up the great work Luke!!!

I am curious as to why you chose to use the iRig Stream when the x1800, and assuming the x1850 have fairly robust interfaces with a standard USB cable. I always like to keep my signal chain as clean as possible. I generally use the USB interface out of the x1800 mixer to record and stream my sets, this way I am keeping the signal in the digital domain all the way to the audience. Other Pros include less cables, reduced RFI in the analog domain, and fewer places you need to mess with the gain throughout the signal chain. Great video!
With the shortage of soundcards etc, Mac users and denon x1800 can use the software loopback to get the sound directly from your mixer usb 1 or 2 straight into the computer, then route channel line 9 and 10 with the software loopback into channel 1 and 2. Hi @laidback Luke, how tall is the tripod you're using, I bought one but it's not tall enough. I love how yours looks, any chance you can check how many inches it is? :) Thank youuuu!
If someone using a DSLR, make sure someone is with the DSLR because the DSLR camera’s shutter gets turned off after 20-25 min, in order to avoid that, make sure to click the shutter button halfway so that it will focus a bit. Then the camera will know that it needs to be awake. I recommend to do this every 15min so that it won’t shut its shutter automatically. Reason that DSLR does this because OBS uses its “live view” and turns it as a webcam, DSLR won’t know that so it get shut down its own after the time limit. So yeah. Hope someone got any help from this. ❤️😋

I run 2 HD webcams and l on my laptop. I addies disco type lights but they don't last throughout the show so I may get one that does. I sue a mic with a desk mic stand. The important thing is to use a separate desktop/laptop for DJing and live stream (if you using a controller w/DJ software). Good video.
Thank you, have a great day
Props for this nice video and being a good human!
I really loved this thanks
Hey, My Cue Button is broken, more or less... sometimes it works, sometimes it does not :/ can I fix/ replace it ?? (DENON MC7000)
You should be able to though you might have to take the unit apart yourself if you're not willing to send it into them
Raise a support case with Denon. It its still in warranty they will fix it for you. Or, you can buy the buttons from Denon and swap them over. The MCX8000 , MC7000 and SC5000 all have the same button pack.. Its just the plastic button you need.
Ok thx mates 😀
After three years of studying you with I’m my mind and live events....my alter Ego is you hahahahha figures student will be like the master. Sufu Luke thank you for 3 awesome years and counting
Great vlog, did you use any techniques to move your fan base from other socials to twitch?
Thank you so much for making this!! Appreciate you!
Is there a lag between OBS and the streaming platform? Say you want to interact with your audience (Tell them to take a shot, have a contest)will you have to wait between your actions and their interactions?
THANK YOU LAIDBACK LUKE, U R OG
Thank you for your video. I have a 2010 Mac book pro and it’s too old for OBS. Is there a way to live stream with good audio without OBS?
Good to know stuff. Thank you:)

Draai/luister je nog weleens techno?
thank you for the great 411 on live streaming
Do you know if you can set up a live stream with dj's playing back to back from different locations, mixing into each others tracks ?
Which Irig Stream are you using? I'm looking for it but I can't find it.
Hi Luke. I hope your keeping well. Thank you for this video I did learn everything i wanted to know. I've always wanted to live stream but I had no clue what to do.. so thank you. One question. Will this all still work on a Chromebook.?
Who did your amazing visuals?
You don't even need a soundcard to stream. If you go check out Crossfader's channel (huge shoutout to them), they have a video specifically for Rekordbox users on how to stream with just software! Go check it out! Although I must reiterate it only works with Rekordbox!
Hi luke, from Portugal, i have 2 questions.
When you mixing and setting your gains in the mixer, you re based on the picks levels on mixer or listening to audio output?
When you worked with Cdj have you used rekordbox?
Good recommendation list .... I'm a big fan of OBS too. I can't believe it's free!
Thanks for the 'Starter Streamer Tips!' Sincerely a DJ never too old . . . to learn something NEW. ~ Portland DJ Dan Weisman
Thanks dude, hopefully I can having a pro show like you on stream one day, please show more details of finals about interfaces.
Leuk zo'n video Luke! Maar als men echt goedkoop wil streamen, kun je beter een RC4 kabeltje gebruiken van e10 ipv een iRig van e100. Werkt perfect! Groetjes!
You are the man to talk to
Cool vlog as always
Great Pointers Kuya Laidback Luke!! I have also recently started doing Live DJ Streams on Twitch. Thank God that we have streaming platforms like Twitch where we can showcase our love for music or whatever it is that we do to entertain people.
Can you explain how you connect your phone to the OBS Desktop application if your phone is already connected to the iRig ? I've heard the iRig doesn't work with multiport adapter and has to be plugged directly into the iPhone..
Which brand is you adaptor to conect all to the macbook?
Hi Luke, How can you get that RADIOSOUND in a radioshow? is there any plugin? how Can you create that atmosphere? Greetings
