You guys and that trucker - it was like a remake of Duel! 😂. Another fantastic video of a gorgeous village and that church was really impressive! Thanks guys!
It's tough to be dealing with the pressure of that lorry, like the Duel movie glued to the back. Thankfully, it went to the other side. Medieval villages are truly fantastic, and indeed, when using firewood for heating the houses, the smell of wood permeates the environment, making it something special. The drone images showing the village nestled in the valley are superb, yet another magnificent episode, thank you so much guys.
Thank you so much for your channel. We got our Ami today, because of you. My 14 year old daughter drove me to up to Castellar earlier this evening (she's had a few hours practice in Zoe from CER). What a blast the AMI is. Loved the Not the Nine O'clock News reference BTW. PS: you need to come to Menton soon and go to this new patisserie that's opened called Ave - it's incredible (this is not a paid promotion). Preservation orders!! Can't agree more (an old Neville Brody fan here).
The drone shots are epic and stunning. It’s quite nice seeing blue skies in the South of France as opposed to the rain and grey gloomy skies we have been having in the UK this week.
Another Sunday adventure thanks you . That church was amazing and it’s organ….lunch was great value again and an interesting village with lady roadsweepers and feral husbands ( who knew ) 😂😂Love to Twigs. 💕
Love your vids on Sunday I sit waiting for my daughter in the car to pick her up go early just so I can watch u guys .cheers me up after loosing my dad and brother thank u guys for giving me some hope x
Me encanta viajar con ustedes todos los domingos, que bonitos lugares y que buen gusto tenéis con la música al editar, saludos desde el sur de España 🇪🇸.
I'm in Antibes at the moment with my boyfriend Joe and we keep going 'ooo!! that's where Me and mon ami went' when we drive to places around the cote d'azur 😂 its so fun to finally be here. Going sea swimming tomorrow in Antibes on our lunch break, cant believe its still sunny!
Woodburnng stoves and cosy firesides 😊...quite a few smoking away here in the UK...lovely. ❤ ...beautiful village ,drone footage ,great humour ,really do enjoy your vlogs Thank you for taking us on a virtual trip with you every week ❗🎄
Another splendid show. Liking the church and the sub teranium town. Overtaking is the norm over here, it's true what Mr Boo said, they should use the time to take in the sights and sounds around them. We all can be in a hurry but at the end of the day it's not worth worrying about. Once again well done to you and looking forward to another delightful and enriching episode. Best Regards. Sean.
Yes. Had the same on the Yamaha Tricity three wheeled scooter. Gave my new one to my brother to help him out during these testing times. They're not bad as I have purchased two over the years. I would rather give than receive. Again all the best and thanks for replying. Sean.
Most beautiful village in ages , was super lovely and so warm . Here in Scotland its been 9 degrees for the last few days. Thankyou for sharing your lovely weekend
Just checked the Fiat website. The new Topolino AMI has been available to order in Italy for a while with 19 week delivery time but this week it is now available to order in France with a 16 week delivery time. Maybe it will reach Britain for next summer.
Of all the villages you have visited that was different. Even more nooks and crannies. The bell ringer was probably told to ring for longer or he would have been “ tolled “ off ? Great stuff.
Ding Dong Avon calling! A typical insult thrown around in Belfast:- " Hey boy, yer Da sells Avon"! And he wears your Ma's mules when he delivers it! 😂 Ok chaps. Keep up the good work, always get a laugh and get to forget all the bad 💩 going on for half an hour. And the scran looks amazing, can almost taste it👌
Another really enjoyable video, (well, apart from the raw egg being mixed into raw meat!) and another lovely little town. Look forward each week to the new videos. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into making these videos.
That video was truly fascinating. All those little rustic alleyways and great scenery. Mr Boo's dish was so mouthwatering. Afraid steak tartare not for me but great value that place and huge portions.
❤ in the early 1980s my car died on the bridge going over to the Bowery in New York City. A big yellow taxi had that bumper that could push me over the bridge and out of the way. That huge truck in your rear view reminded me of how large that taxi was pushing my car.
Really enjoyed that episode, what a lovely old village - Town Whatever it turned out to be. My wife and I missed Mr Boo's property prices, as we lived down there for 11 years and hanker to return. Probably never will at our age but nice to dream and those prices keep the old hopes alive. Maybe one property in each range. Low - Middle - And, Bloody hell! Not a lot of effort and may bring positive results.
Not an angry trucker, just a " rapport de force" , feeling of impunity, very common in south of France... From another small car owner who drives many times of year to French Riviera. Just go on and try to forget it 😁
You show us so many beautiful places and your comments are very entertaining. It's in great contrast to your modern style of life which makes it more exciting. And all these great churches, you don't have to be religious to enjoy the architecture and history. "Thank you!"
One more good video adventure...You have told us that you have not driven a car, you have no driver's licence, so you should know that under certain conditions, it can be harmful to drive a car at lower RPM and very high load. When a car’s engine is working properly, the fuel and oxygen from the air combine by combustion, but if the engine is under high load and wide open throttle, and it’s turning slowly, the fuel/air mixture can reach a state of temperature and pressure where it will spontaneously detonate, and that will create extremely high temperatures and pressures than can melt parts of the engine. So, now you know how the truck driver felt. That is the reason Ami is called a city car. Thank you for your great videos. Take care.
Well? Was there an IKEA? 😂 Every time I'm surprised, people living everywhere... Who would have thought to find such a delightful place to eat in a small pittoreske place like that?! Wonderful editing, that drone video! Keep them coming guys ❤️
Hi Guys. Another great video. We were watching the drone shots and got to wondering. In these villages the houses were originally built for people who didn't have cars. Maybe some had horses and or wagons. How do the villages fit with today when everyone in the houses would have at least 1 car if not two?
I would say most people in these villages have cars. Some places have underground car parks in the village, some multi storey, some just a simple old car park by the Marie and amazingly some people manage to park very near to their house. They certainly get by.
Truly wonderful……. Are there enough beautiful villages around you to keep us entertained on a Sunday for another year / 2 years / 3 years (delete, as appropriate!) 💕
Chapeau. Having a truck behind me like that in my sans permis van, would definitley be a brown trouser job. I have no rear window. Nice to see some lovely Plus Belle La Vie set dressing again. Makes me think of my late MIL who was born and bred in Herault. Dans les montagnes noires. Bonne continuation à tous les deux ! 👍
Ha ha, you should watch the movie Duel from 1971. It will make you paranoid about semi trucks :P It's like the first Spielberg film, although it was a TV film.
L’Escarene is ons of those mountain towns that disappears into its surroundings! Well worth the trip there and apart from the truck road rage incident, the journey there was uneventful. The L’Union Cafe dishes looked homemade and reasonably priced given the generous portions served. I would think Elton made it home on regenerative charging and it’s too bad the only charger in town was inaccessible. What a pity! No mountain village challenge is complete without knowing if an Ami’s autonomy is capable of being sufficiently recovered, so we’ll have to see how it turned out. Thanks for another spectacular November Sunday outing and see you guys again next weekend! 😊
You did make it back with 8 km of range to spare and could recharge Elton in the city. Sometimes you do need to make it back on what you’ve got! Mountain driving can offer that safety margin with an EV.
Well, yet another great video. A beautiful village and food to die for. shame about the truck driver, if he was going to violate your bum at the very least dinner and a movie before! The beast! Shocking! 🚚
Wonderful video, beautiful village. Elton needs one of those levers that is found in the cab of the Bat Mobile,... Which when actuated, releases the substance that the French Farmers most frequently use to decorate any seat of regional government that incurs their displeasure. Alternatively, you could contract with someone that suffers from regular bouts of a gastro-intestinal COVID variant and have him perched on the roof rack. Then, three knocks on the cabin roof and viola you immediately acquire 100 metres of unoccupied space between Elton and his followers. A touch of Jim Carey? Tailgating, still seems to be a thing in France.. Whereas it doesn't seem to be so prevalent in contemporary UK. In France, it always seems to be the firms and public bodies vehicles (Especillay small lorries) that do it, not private cars. Something to do with differences in liability?
- A bit of truth in your prediction for the hapless Porsche owner Tim. Of the three Bargain Basement Porsches I had, I eventually regretted buying every one. I never bought a three-legged dog, but that might have been a more reliable acquisition. - As for the Bum-Trucker, if you installed a large rubber bumper to Elton's rear frame and and a sign "Impatient? Give a Push", that might be a way to save on some charge and time? - 20:15, When it came to Mr' Boo's Roast Duck lunch, "Wow" came to mind. And as for your Steak Tarter Tim, no doubt a good fridge makes the meal, but is that 'Mad Cow' thing still a thing? - L’Escarène, looks a great place to hang out for a weekend. I saw a few Gîtes that looked and one by the river you passed by one that was 380€ per week. If you had time It would be interesting to meet some local Gîte owner and get a quick look at what's available, and if some owner might provide you a stay for sharing their locale would be interesting to get your take on what it's like to stay in fairy-tale villages. I really enjoined loved the low-level flight past the chapel and over the roof tops Not sure if there's restrictions on how low you can drone in France but it's a perspective I don't see other drone vloggers doing. Looking down into the village from low-level, was unique and fun, and for a moment reminded me of a ride I took over L.A. with a Sheriff's Deputy in a police Helicopter. After being shot-down twice, he kept just above rooftops to present less of a target that provided an epic and at times voyeuristic glimpses into people's lives and backyards, like a glimpse of man and wife having an argument and the husband knocking the wife off her feet just as we passed overhead. Thanks again for the magical moments, Bon Bourage! - Restez chargé!
Thanks Jack. We are hoping that next year we can get a few more stays so we can do some longer trips without breaking the bank or drone. We have a new sticker for the back of the car coming but its taking a while!
Now….dearest Tim, Richard & Twigs…..you know I love you but you also know of everyone, I am the one to tell you off!!! That beautiful Porsche 356 was not broken down, it had its LUGGAGE compartment up! It’s rear engined 🙄 and then you tease about going to the beautiful village of Shelf near to Bradford and we end up going to some Italian theme park 🙄😘, and then you took us up your back passage! At least we didn’t have to suffer the log drop again from last week!😳🤨. Love you all, look forward to seeing you in January! Love team ‘Udders
I love your work, because of you, i bought an Ami buggy, and the great thing is that there’s no need of air conditioning due to the lack of side doors. In quite a few of your videos you do not show the details on how and where you charge, if you use a type2 adaptor and so on… It would be great if you included this info in your videos. Also, how come you haven’t taken off the 45km limiter? I did that, and now can get easily to 60+ km/hr and can go anywhere, even on the highway’s right lane, without causing problems with traffic jamming up behind me. Keep up the great work!👍
Thanks. Hope you enjoy your buggy. We didn’t fancy voiding the warranty or insurance by de restricting it. We always use the standard two prong unless not available but almost always is in France
Those roofs look a funny colour for terra-cotta; a couple of shots look almost as if there are rooftop pools installed as in ruclips.net/video/Lyx_UZyxayA/видео.html but these are tarps I reckon.....another looks more like a small pool....but it's highly unlikely. Great vid as usual...my long term favourite on YT!
Don't think your car is allowed on the pénétrante du paillon. You can take it more chilled next time by passing by Drap then St Thecle so you don't need to waste a lot of battery on that big hill climb too. Nice camera effect on your vids.
Mister Me and Mister Boo and Elton and Twiggy 🐶🐕/ now where else can i find the you Tim taking on the HGV re enacting Dennis Weaver's role in the 70's classic film 'Duel' wgat a bloody film ❤👍 think the driver must have been tempted to give ya a helpful hand probably into the river!!!!😂😂😂😂 that village looks beautiful 😍 i womder if that woman was a psychopath 🤔🤔locking people up.for her own desires 😱😳😳loved looking grub & great drone footage 👍 another very entertaining vlog Tim you certainly know how to put together a vlog. Stay safe and well and obviously stay charged 👍 🎉
hey first of all nice video, im a 22 year old üniversity student in turkey and i am considering buying an ami. my question is: in turkey they do chip tuning for the ami for more topend speed like 70 or some times 80 kmh. do you think this is worth wasting the guarantee and taking the risk that the battery pack may mibe having a shorter lifetime or just keep the tune out of my head.
Your walk reminded me of that Tony Christie song, 'In the avenues and alleyways'. This was a very good Episode. I think I know that Woman who blocked Elton. She drugs Men, strips them and chains them to the wall. She calls it her sex palace. Ha! Ha! I might have made that up.
How did Elton's annual checkup go? Tailgating a Citroen is like flipping the bird to France. Disrespectful. Another beautiful village, though. Sans charger, alas.
On politics i liked David Cameron he did a really good job getting UK finances back on track but then what happens ? He resigned over Brexit and a total Clown comes to power Bojo the Clown and goes on a spending spree , here we had a thing called Furlough which meant for 2 years people were paid full wages to stay at home lol madness total madness , so now we have gone from having a surplus in 2016 when Cameron resigned to now having a $1 trillion dollar debt ,anyway that truck was scary reminds me of that movie Duel where a crazy truck driver chases a little red car in the desert lol
Cameron, refusing to burden the oligarchs, threw us all into austerity and implemented cuts to services from which we’ve never recovered! Then there’s the wanton wrecking of Libya, turning it into an ISIS riddled landscape from Mad Max and he would have done the same to Syria, had Parliament let him. Pity that only WEF approved Toffs and elites etc are allowed to be let loose on running the nation!
....well, hard to imagine for some people: But there actually are other people whose job involves sticking to a schedule. It thus takes quite a bit of narcissism to think that slowing a truck down from 80km/h to 45km/h over a longer stretch of road is funny.
Ahhh it was NOT recorder months ago - viz your ref to David Cameron's accession to govt. .... weather AMAZING for Nov. - lucky boys ! You both seem well animated and en forme on this edition - bet the Renault trucker is not one of your followers ... !
well, even though you removed my comment, i still think you should report this guy. If you aint reporting him, he is gonna continu until there is a deadly accident. People need to report these kinds of crazy "Professional" Drivers. These drivers should not be driving trucks. It is as simple as that. He could have killed you both if something happened. And what would be his excuse???? Report him to the police. Btw, how was Ukraine????
“Take time to reflect” 😊 As a former lorry driver it’s safer for him to drive slower but I’m not enjoying his following distance or lack of it. Don’t let those behind you affect your safe driving. 😉 You’re in charge. 💙🤍❤️ In the old days folks would help the lorry driver unload if he was blocking the road like she was in her car. “Community” you might say. Something in short supply most places.
Another great video. I don’t know how you keep so good spirited you are when tail gated by a huge lorry. I love Mr Boos French facts, Tim’s fearless driving and of course the lovely Twiggy. You’re adventures always put a smile on my face ❤
Thanks very much
Yep, definitely braved that one out. .
After about six weeks of rain, it felt nice to see the sun again in your video. Watching the city of Nice, and all of these wonderful places you visit always lifts me up. 🧡
Yes rain gets you down as does grey sky
What a lovely little village, The french tourist board must love your blogs, it must do wonders for their business. Keep up the good work.
I’m expecting the legion d’honneur very soon!
Tailgated by the lorry had me getting flashbacks to the 70s movie Duel. Great video guys.
Me too but I couldn’t remember the name of the film
I actually laughed out loud at your little quips ,thank you
Lol. Thanks.

I’ve been trying to remember the name of that movie all week!
Isn't it fun to be alive?! Thank you for sharing. My gosh! What a beautiful little villiage.
Yup and Yup!
Thanks very much. Feu de bois! Fabulous
Another beautiful trip to a very special place. This was again a real gem!
Thanks Henk
Scarena means ladder. The village is situated at the bottom of where the steep part of the mountain starts.
Ah interesting. Thanks John!

Thanks again for the magical moments,
Bon Bourage! - Restez chargé!
Thanks Jack. We are hoping that next year we can get a few more stays so we can do some longer trips without breaking the bank or drone. We have a new sticker for the back of the car coming but its taking a while!
Hi from Somerset 🇬🇧
Hi back
Now….dearest Tim, Richard & Twigs…..you know I love you but you also know of everyone, I am the one to tell you off!!!
He didn’t look to be checking his luggage though!
Hello from Haute Savoie.
Hello back!
Oooh, I was waiting for you to comment. L’escarène, twinned with Shelf, West Yorkshire. #StayCharged
Indeed I’d forgotten!
1:28 I think they have the wrong hood open on the Porsche 356 to fix it 😅
That’s why they were struggling!
Twiggy is well adapted to your weekly excursions
When we take her out for a walk past the car she wants to get in every time!
The duel reboot was a bit rubbish :) L’Escarène is how how I imagined French villages as a kid. Lovely to see the blue skies!
Thanks
There’s a Shelf in Halifax!
How funny
Hi from Bretagne ; great video , just a question : is Mr Boo blue pull over is a tom's daley homemade production?
Ha no I think he bought it in Zara some time ago!
@@MeandMonAmi I like his coat too - excellent!
They've quite obviously taken influence from Shelf, Bradford, West Yorks 😜😂
True that I’d forgotten!
@@MeandMonAmi ...to be fair, in comparison, an altogether forgettable place 🤣
In the far, far future the historians will be able to date your video by the David Cameron reference!
Indeed. I fear it’ll date fast!
@@MeandMonAmi he got a good deal, didn't he? Baron of Chipping Norton and a ministerial salary for a few months jetting about the place.
@@SDBWhitesideI’m saying nowt;
Hey Guys, What was that track playing during the journey? Great song
Les figures by the devils sway
Bet you're secretly starting to miss the cold, grey drizzle by now..
Definitely;
With that snaggle tooth it dunarf remind me of Steptoe and Son !
You’ll be sad to know it’s going to be filled in soon
@@MeandMonAmi Probably by an angry French truck driver! 😂
Thanks very much
Don't think your car is allowed on the pénétrante du paillon. You can take it more chilled next time by passing by Drap then St Thecle so you don't need to waste a lot of battery on that big hill climb too. Nice camera effect on your vids.
Ah we did wonder but couldn’t see a sign…
I was trying all day to remember the name of that film
I was wondering where the Gruel Lady of Alcatraz had got to.
The gruel Avon lady of Alcatraz surely!?
I absolutely hate it when cars and other vehicles sit about an inch from the rear bumper.
I don’t really see the point when you can’t let them pass
Porsche engine is at the back of the car.😂
Maybe they’d hired it?!
hey first of all nice video, im a 22 year old üniversity student in turkey and i am considering buying an ami. my question is: in turkey they do chip tuning for the ami for more topend speed like 70 or some times 80 kmh. do you think this is worth wasting the guarantee and taking the risk that the battery pack may mibe having a shorter lifetime or just keep the tune out of my head.
I think you should buy it for what it is not what is isn’t. But it’s your quad!
As a truck driver of 20 years………. That truck driver was so unprofessional, and a complete idiot too!
I thought it was odd especially since he could tell I tried to let him pass but couldn’t .
Your walk reminded me of that Tony Christie song, 'In the avenues and alleyways'. This was a very good Episode. I think I know that Woman who blocked Elton. She drugs Men, strips them and chains them to the wall. She calls it her sex palace. Ha! Ha! I might have made that up.
sounds possible!;
How did Elton's annual checkup go? Tailgating a Citroen is like flipping the bird to France. Disrespectful. Another beautiful village, though. Sans charger, alas.
Video coming on that!!
That was the film I was trying to remember watching! In a way Cameron was continuity Blair and then Britain succumbed to that seductress populism..
Why not put a large number on the back of the AMI to show the max speed?
I think most people in France know that sans permit cars do 45 max speed.
The word of the day today in Wordle is Queqe!! How’d you know?
Thats funny!
Ahhh it was NOT recorder months ago - viz your ref to David Cameron's accession to govt. .... weather AMAZING for Nov. - lucky boys ! You both seem well animated and en forme on this edition - bet the Renault trucker is not one of your followers ... !
If he was I think we lost him
@@MeandMonAmi ha ha ! ... he might be back ... as Richard said to your question , " For the moment ..". - he's forever the optimist isn 't he !
Blimey that truck driver was a bit of a W⚓. 😠 Glad Elton didn't become Flat Eric.
Yes I think we’d have come off worse!
Can the Ami keep up with normal road speed? If not then I suggest it should not be allowed on open roads. Some will be killed soon.
Cars regulated at this speed have been a feature on French roads for 50 years. There are tens of thousands of them
@@MeandMonAmi didn't know that. Unusual in UK.
❓🇫🇷WHO SINGS that 🇫🇷 FRENCH 🇫🇷THEME TUNE 🇫🇷❓ u play as U drive around 🚘👍WITH the car 🚘🇫🇷❓🎶🎵🇫🇷❓

If you return to here don't forget to take dog poo bags, they are starting to DNA Test and track offenders
Sorry lads but if was driving I would immediately pull to the side out of the way . Trucks are usually at work and are limited with time .
Yes but rather difficult on a single lane highway!
IT ain't always pssible.
It was obvious that they pulled in as soon as it was humanly possible!
@@lordcharfield Indeed no one wants to be tailgated
well, even though you removed my comment, i still think you should report this guy.
“Take time to reflect” 😊
As a former lorry driver it’s safer for him to drive slower but I’m not enjoying his following distance or lack of it. Don’t let those behind you affect your safe driving. 😉
You’re in charge. 💙🤍❤️
In the old days folks would help the lorry driver unload if he was blocking the road like she was in her car. “Community” you might say. Something in short supply most places.
